This is definitely years later but I was hoping you maybe still had the files for this somewhere so it can be used as a mod? I really like this skin a lot for the 1911's.

I think this would be the closest we could get to the silverballers without getting copyright troubles (if there were any :yaranaika:)

The logo ruins it.

Looks great! I don't see enough love for the 1911 in the workshop, so keep up the good work.

Ah, alright

Because the paint mask (the image you use to select which areas to "paint") specifically cuts out the grip for this skin.
Because I only have 2 possible images to work with when making a skin (paint mask and custom diffuse map/pattern) I cannot make metal that is shiny while also changing other textures.

In other words, the wood grip you see here is actually part of the base diffuse map (not the custom one) so it is essentially unaffected by all the glossyness the rest of the gun receives.
If I were to make a custom grip for it, the grip would either have to be extremely shiny or I would have to compromise the shininess of the rest of the gun.

With the options TW gives us I can only choose one: custom grip or a metallic shine.

How so?

Due to how this skin is set up (and what I'm allowed to do) I can't make a black grip that wouldn't be extremely shiny.

Would prefer a version with black grips, but this is still much better than the default engraved ones

*shrug* Guess I've grown way too accustomed to the "Bloated" 9mm skin then. Oh well.

Nice work, anyhow.

The 1911's are much more similar to the 9mm *without* this skin.
Without it they both have the same dark-gray black finish with the most noticeable differences between the 2 being the 1911 has gold engravings and an ebony handle.

Subtle, yet quite noticeable. Personally I would probably mistake these for 9mm at first, but this is in no doubt a pretty little skin.

so shiny o3o yes to this

Would look much better without the gunslinger icon on the slide.
