Report a translation problem
Because I only have 2 possible images to work with when making a skin (paint mask and custom diffuse map/pattern) I cannot make metal that is shiny while also changing other textures.
In other words, the wood grip you see here is actually part of the base diffuse map (not the custom one) so it is essentially unaffected by all the glossyness the rest of the gun receives.
If I were to make a custom grip for it, the grip would either have to be extremely shiny or I would have to compromise the shininess of the rest of the gun.
With the options TW gives us I can only choose one: custom grip or a metallic shine.
Nice work, anyhow.
Without it they both have the same dark-gray black finish with the most noticeable differences between the 2 being the 1911 has gold engravings and an ebony handle.
