I can confirm that this mod indeed does prevent the game from even loading when you launch the game. Do not install!

This mod was causing issues launching my game. I can't be certain, but it seemed like it was causing issues even just downloaded and not enabled. WOTC.

I've been trying for... a while to make this mod work for WotC. Anyone reading this with the same idea, I'm here to save you time. You're better off making this from scratch. There's so much code ripped from the base game's files and just plopped in, it simply isn't compatible with WotC at all without... basically a full rewrite. The dress up BS is also annoying to rip out. So just a warning for everyone.

@Domyras according to Steam Enhanced/ITAD, WOTC has been as low as $8. I don't know why anyone wouldn't just have bought it sometime at this point.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MOD. IT BREAKS THE GAME AND WON'T LET IT LAUNCH.

It's been abandoned and it breaks your game if you download it. Wish these damn things would just be removed from workshop.

Could you please, for the love of god, give some kind of word on this mod? Is it completely dead forever? Do you have any plans to update it for WOTC? Could you please remove all the extra, broken crap that doesn't need to be in there like the Tygan dress up shit?

I'm about ready to disable this. I've researched Basic Scope & Basic Expanded Mag, I have 2 of EACH already and I STILL can not craft them. It says I'm meeting all the requirements. What gives?

is there a way to disable the requirement to loot? I have looted several elite versions of things and they are not able to be built. I have all the parts needed but they have been locked and i cant figure out how to fix this. I didnt see anything in the config file to disable it so im not sure if there is something else in the core games to register it as loot manually or something. nearing the final missions on LW2 and still cant make some of the elite versions of stuff.

Before other people make the same mistake I did:

THIS MOD IS !!NOT!! COMPATIBLE WITH W.O.T.C.

IT WILL CAUSE CRASH UPON LAUNCH

I don't really get it. This mod is fine, it works fine - or it would be, and it would, were it not for silly, useless additions like the Tygan Dressup nonsense which doesn't seem to work anyway and just makes Tygan's face look messed up, research spam, dumb easter eggs...
I mean why? This mod would be so great, but all the unnecessary, semi-functioning and conflict-creating nonsense really pulls it down.

This mod seems to be crashing the game on startup for me when trying to launch WotC. I got other mods installed, but it starts fine with those. As soon as I activate this mod, it crashes again.

I was coming to ask the same thing. This mod currently crashes when you try to build anything, and the changes to Tygan's face are missing their textures.

Will rhis still be usefull with War od the Chosen, since it uses the Workshop? With all the new facilities, I think a lot of people might be skipping Workshops, Would be great if it could be in the Proving Grounds I reckon.

Thinking you probably didn't read that, because you pretty much seemed to ignore it outright or didn't read it when you point out that his values are a mess....

How about instead of JUST criticising it, why not instead give useful information, like for instance... what you think the values should be.

Or how about this, go make your own version of this mod and share it instead. You know, the equivilant of putting up or shutting up.

People like you are why the comment sections of mod workshops are usually cancer.

I mean it's technically compatible with LW2, but the values are a mess and will definetly not work great fresh out of the box. Gonna have to tweak dem .ini's

Try adding the lines to the "XComGame.XComEngine" section of the "XComEngine.ini" file as well.
If i remember correctly this is what fixed it for me a long time ago.

The button in the workshop is not showing for me. And there's no "XComEngine.ini" file in the config folder. :/

As for LW2: Workshopbutton shows as normal, but: to acutally craft weaponmods you first have to finish the PG-Project for that item to be able to craft (it will show in the list but stay red and won't build otherwise). So it'll cost a lot of resources (workshop+PG+3x mod + Resources for the PG Project & the building itself)

For PCS: You can buid them as normal, but only the ones, which are taken from vanilla, not the new, fancy LW ones (like Hyperactive Pupills). You can add the new PCS to the mod ini to add them to the list manually.

I'd like to say the mod is not fit for LW2 and would need some revamp to work properly and as intended.

It provides the functionality advertised, but has really annoying side effects like scerwing up Tygan's face, adding a 4th wall breaking changelog button, spamming research projects, and having really annoying out-of-character dialogue text.

Final question and I'll go away, I promise! :)

I dug through the mod's localisation and found a bunch of... Weird things under "Extras." And I don't mean weird in terms of their descriptions - that's a feature of the entire mod. I mean weird in terms of what they seem to do. There are references to research which increases weapon mod slots - two of them, in fact. I don't see anything mentioned here on the mod page, though, nor have I seen anything like that in-game. Was that a planned feature which got scrapped?
