Mod works great. Just don't bring andromedons on stealth missions lol. (they are very clumsy)

I hate how this concept hasn't really gotten much attention, I mean, I REALLY want to play this with Wotc, RealityMachina's wotc version has broken animations, with no patch in sight, its really sad, because I want to have a viper fight alongside an actual fucking bionicle because im a lunatic but I can see this mod having other applications in Wotc, but alas, I assume the day when someone decides to make another playable aliens mod will never come

Probably the only working playable aliens mod we will ever get. Although it would really need some tweaking. Like add the Codex Clone ability after taking damage.

I was one of the original authors of this mod back four years ago. Who could have predicted that the next XCOM game (Chimera Squad) would go in the same direction! Tongue pull and some of the other unique alien actions have been available here for years. (I haven't done xcom modding in 3+ years, and I have no idea about WOTC porting, sorry!)

This mod is the real alien mod for me. The other one is kinda crap and doesn't offer good units like Codex, Gatekeepers and Berserkers.
It's a shame it hasn't be ported to WOTC.

@Blackout dude that one's not the same, with this one you can just build them, in that one you have to hope for good rng that will give you the aliens you want.

so i got a mission to rescue a sectoid, and i put him on overwatch like all normal xcom plaayers do when theres no enemies around, and then he just refused to do anything for the rest of the mission. when i selected him, it just displayed the message "out of actions." just putting this up so people don't repeat my mistake on ironman

the alien characters seem to be a bit buggy, cant actually hack stuff and the codex has a weird bug with it when you use death from above and this other ability after killing a enemy and then teleport and after that you cant attack and only move

How do you make the alien show up? I'm making some custom characters as the aliens and stuff, but the model isn't changing. Does it change once I start the game?

Friendly Chryssalids are the most OP weapon I've ever had in my arsenal. They 1-shot many weaker enemies, applying a poison that immediately turns the corpse into a cocoon that has 36 health and can spawn one Chryssalid per turn, for two turns, starting on your very next turn. The newborn Chryssalids can repeat the same procedure, allowing your forces to grow exponentially throughout the mission. The only real risk is if your original Chryssalid is killed in the process, at which point you lose this ability when the mission is over.

After two missions of utterly dominating the enemy on Commander difficulty, I decided to test the new recruit: I sent Corporal Bugman out alone on his next mission. By the end of the mission I had 13 Chryssalids chasing a single surviving ADVENT mec (although Bugman died early on, ending the fun at least temporarily).

Chryssalid recruits turned the game from XCOM 2 to Starship Troopers Simulator 2018.

Hey. Never use the Chryssalids on a Rescue mission or anything that requires EVAC because the zombies will not recieve that option and you'll have to start all over again. Unless that has been fixed with a Suicide button >_>

I'm in a mission that isn't timed and have to evac all, after evacuating all my soldiers I still cannot finish the mission because I have 2 advent troopers that I got from "Raise The Dead". idk what to do. Please Help me
