@Acela2163 - There is a difference in the sound position which changes how it's perceived. The vanilla sound has it positioned closer to the driver seat, while in the mod it's closer to the reverse lights (i.e. where it is concerning people behind your truck)
Acela2163 12 jul om 2:07
I'm also having the issues with the back-up beeper sound. I tested it without the mod and the vanilla sound also seems quieter and higher pitched, but not as much as it is with this mod.
Drive Safely  [auteur] 11 jul om 18:11
@Poppey - Thanks for your question. The blind spot and lane keeping assistant sounds are not covered by the Sound Fixes Pack, since they're specific to the player truck, and I need to keep compatibility with truck sound mods.

You might find truck sound mods to improve them. Optionally there are gameplay settings to disable these features as well
Poppey 11 jul om 9:25
Hello mates, would it possibly be possible. That you make the warning tone of the blind spot and lane keeping assistant in your mod so that it only sounds once or twice? The standard sound of scs is unfortunately extremely annoying
Drive Safely  [auteur] 7 jul om 14:38
@SK1NNY - The Sound Fixes Pack already has an improved reverb zone configuration, with different reverb under bridges and overpasses compared to the Master Reverb Effects Mod. So that makes it only partially compatible but it can be used.

I would strongly recommend using the Sound Fixes Pack for this aspect
SK1NNY 7 jul om 11:30
Can I ask i this mod is compatible with {LINK VERWIJDERD}
or I dont need this mod
Drive Safely  [auteur] 5 jul om 16:49
@VJ GAMZ 04 - That has to do with the truck engine sound, not this mod since I don't change the player truck engine sounds.

Regarding the default engine sound, because of the Volvo FH6's quiet low RPMs, and because of the difficulty of accelerating with the parking brake on, its engine will be perceived as quiet in that case
VJ GAMZ 04 5 jul om 16:37
Hello, for some reason when I press the gas pedal while the truck is braked or has the parking brake on, the truck engine turns silent until I disengage the (parking) brake? Using the 460 hp engine. Using the FH6.
BeastyBill88 3 jul om 14:15
@Drive Safely oh weird! It is probably on my end although I took this mod out and the beeper worked with the soundproofing as its part of an engine audio mod, normally I could hear the beeper from outside or with the windows open but I can't now with both mods. I'll look into the engine mod it's probably the reason why it's playing up. Having no issues with ATS everything is working fine over there.

Thanks for the info @billbill8 I think the truck effects slider is set to 80% for me, everything else is 50% but it is highly likely it's the engine audio mod I have as the soundproofing is someone over the top lol
Drive Safely  [auteur] 3 jul om 14:03
@billbill8 - You're welcome on the cabin noises fix. :)

For the reverse beeper audio, make sure your Truck Effects sound volume slider is at least at 50% in the Audio Settings. I know it's not a quietness issue because the sound can be perceived further away in distance than the default.

I am able to adjust its sound volume when leaning out the window. I can do that for the next mod update if you want me to
billbill8 3 jul om 13:41
Thanks. This fixed the damn annoying cabin noises introduced into ETS2 1.55.

As reported by @BeastyBill88, I find the reverse beeper audio is very quiet (and higher pitch), even when leaning out the window, compared to the default beeper audio (without your mod).
Drive Safely  [auteur] 3 jul om 13:26
@Vulture - Which addons? If you mean from my mod collection, only the "Winter sounds" has the requirement for higher priority than the Sound Fixes Pack
Drive Safely  [auteur] 3 jul om 13:23
@SK1NNY - Since I don't modify the Truck Traffic Pack by Jazzycat, there seems to be no risk of mod conflicts. You can refer to the "Traffic packs currently modified with sounds" image to see which traffic packs are modified by me.

@Vulture - The mod is compatible with the new update. ✅

@BeastyBill88 - The reverse beeper audio is working fine on my end. What did change is that it's distinct from the ATS edition now. Your truck's interior soundproofing may of course have some influence to its sound volume when the windows are closed.

@Xetra - Yes :) :letsgo:
Vulture 3 jul om 13:19
Also, does addons go higher or lower priority?
Xetra 3 jul om 9:03
Does it still work properly?
BeastyBill88 3 jul om 8:24
@vulture seems like 1.55 broke the reversing beeper audio. No doubt it'll get fixed in the next mod update
Vulture 3 jul om 7:49
Does new update break this in anyway?
SK1NNY 3 jul om 7:17
Yea i know it but its older version of it or Sounds for truck traffic pack by jazzycat compatible with this mod or i just put these mods above Sound fixes pack
Drive Safely  [auteur] 2 jul om 14:03
@SK1NNY - The mod you linked is from 6 years ago, for a game version that was before the switch to FMOD. It wouldn't be compatible with the 1.54 game version that is available now
SK1NNY 2 jul om 13:26
is this mod compatible with jazzycat traffic sound mods for example https://www.modland.net/euro-truck-simulator-2/sounds/sound-for-bdf-traffic-pack-by-jazzycat-v-5.5.1.html
Drive Safely  [auteur] 30 jun om 16:22
@bxndxlx - I appreciate your comment. Thanks and have a great day! :)
bxndxlx 30 jun om 16:14
@Drive Safely Thanks man, the mod works. Thanks for your fantastic mod and have a great day!
Drive Safely  [auteur] 30 jun om 16:10
@bxndxlx - Actually you're in luck. :) Someone already made a mod for that to do that work for you:

Drive Safely  [auteur] 30 jun om 15:57
@bxndxlx - It's possible through making a mod to change this file: /sound/music/music_hurry_up.soundref.

For the regular hurry up music, you must have its file contents point to the regular music like so:
source="/sound/music/music.bank#music/hurry_up"
bxndxlx 30 jun om 15:46
Hey man, is it possible to turn off the Nokia Ringtone and turn on back the regular Hurry Up songs? If not, could you make one without it?
Sebas 29 jun om 5:09
@Drive Safely the player truck horns
Drive Safely  [auteur] 28 jun om 16:10
@Sebas - I need more detail on which aren't "real". There are many horns in this game. :)

If you mean the player truck horns (standard city horn or air horn), this mod doesn't change that in order to keep compatibility with other sound mods for the player truck. Though I can change the fallback one maybe
Sebas 28 jun om 12:30
Please change the horn sounds to real truck ones
Femboy Enthusiast 25 jun om 18:04
@Drive Safely - of course !! happy to help.
Drive Safely  [auteur] 24 jun om 17:32
@Femboy Enthusiast - Yeah, the Valmet DV12 and the passenger / freight cars are already decent in sound volume.

For the coming mod update in the 1.55 game version, I have increased sound volume adjustments ready for the distant approaching noise level for those train locomotives you listed.

Many thanks for your suggestion :)
Femboy Enthusiast 24 jun om 14:02
okay so I did some more testing ingame - I think I kinda have an idea of whats wrong. Some of the trains (such as the DV12) you can audibly hear approaching from far away. However many that I tested (Vectron, G16, Electric TRAXX, OSE 220) are either extremely faint in terms of approaching noise level or there is virtually none at all until it is right up on you. I haven't gone and tested literally every train ingame, just the ones I mentioned so far but I think this is something you should look into. However I do still believe a tweak to the overall volume of the locomotives when they are near you should still be implemented as well. The passenger / freight cars seem to be at a perfect volume in terms of how loud I'd expect a train to be, so maybe strive for similar?
Femboy Enthusiast 24 jun om 13:39
@Drive Safely - just checked, and yes my volume was set to 50%.
Drive Safely  [auteur] 24 jun om 1:44
@Femboy Enthusiast - Thanks so much! I'm happy the extra details are appreciated.

About the locomotive sound volume, do you have the traffic sound volume at 50%? Because the Sound Fixes Pack is tested at this sound volume, so I want to make sure in case you have it set too low
Femboy Enthusiast 24 jun om 1:01
Just went through and made a test version of the train mod using your sounds, Quite amazed with how in-depth you went for it, bravo! Though If I may point out, the locomotive sounds are extremely quiet. To the point where there were times where I'd be waiting for a train to go by so I could listen to the sounds during testing, and I hadn't even realized one had passed by until I looked over and it was in the middle of despawning. I would suggest boosting the volume a fair bit, as its kind of jarring for what should be a very loud vehicle to be so quiet. Otherwise I do like these new sounds, and will definitely be rolling out an update to my mod shortly. :-)
Drive Safely  [auteur] 22 jun om 1:31
@chemiker07 - Yes, for certain weather sound features from the Sound Fixes Pack, such as the wet tire sound, it needs to be higher priority to work
chemiker07 22 jun om 1:24
Should this mod be above Realistic rain? Bc both of the mods ask to be placed above any other sound mods in requirements
Drive Safely  [auteur] 16 jun om 16:14
@BAUERWILLI - I use this mod with engine sound mods and haven't encountered any issues like that. What's the engine sound mod you're using?

I guess when the cap on the number of sound effects that can play simultaneously is reached, then less important sounds will be given up to keep the engine sound working
BAUERWILLI 16 jun om 16:07
Great mod, but when I have other engine sound mods activated, unfortunately the improved brake sound from this mod dissapears.. any idea how to solve this? I tried different ways with priority and stuff..
FilMit 11 jun om 5:25
Strange, there is now a sound of braking on the Man, and on MP4, no matter how hard I tried to slow down, I didn’t hear ...
Drive Safely  [auteur] 10 jun om 0:17
@черный кабан - Well there are a lot of ways to check that the mod is working. A quick way is to look in the Audio Settings and check if you see extra Sound Fixes options for the voice navigation
черный кабан 9 jun om 23:23
idk i might try to completely reinstall the game and just use only this mode to see if it works that way
черный кабан 9 jun om 23:02
@Drive Safely
And whats the best sound in game to fast check to compare is it working or not?
Drive Safely  [auteur] 9 jun om 13:27
@черный кабан - Subscribing and activating the mod is fine as long as you're running a compatible game version (as of the time this comment was posted, 1.54 and 1.55 are supported).
черный кабан 9 jun om 9:40
Hm, i placed it on the top of mod order and thought that everything is fine, but today i watched the video in the mod description with this juicy sounds and i believe it doesnt’t work for me. Is it enough to subscribe and activate this mod in the game or its better to download and install it manually?
Drive Safely  [auteur] 8 jun om 23:25
@FilMit - Many thanks! 👍
FilMit 8 jun om 23:10
@Drive Safely
In any case, thank you very much for the best sound mod for these two games! 👍
Drive Safely  [auteur] 8 jun om 21:19
@FilMit - Thank you. I try without the mod oftentimes when bug reporting.

As for the default screech, it sounds like a car... 🚗

...With the Sound Fixes Pack the screech sound is more like a truck.

Furthermore, you can find evidence of the sound working in the video showcase on Youtube. It's also recently featured at the end of the "Rain & wiper sound test - Sound Fixes Pack v25.21" video
FilMit 8 jun om 20:47
I really like your mod, it is not interesting to play without it. But for the first time in a few years, I decided to listen to how the SCS games sound by default, and now I heard ...
Just try, with a mod and without, connect/disable.
Drive Safely  [auteur] 8 jun om 16:29
@FilMit - Still, the sounds have not disappeared and are still in the mod. Possibly your input of sharp braking was different in your test with the mod?
FilMit 8 jun om 16:08
Yes, but I did not change my play settings, when testing this effect, with and without mod.
