Regarding the default engine sound, because of the Volvo FH6's quiet low RPMs, and because of the difficulty of accelerating with the parking brake on, its engine will be perceived as quiet in that case
Thanks for the info @billbill8 I think the truck effects slider is set to 80% for me, everything else is 50% but it is highly likely it's the engine audio mod I have as the soundproofing is someone over the top lol
For the reverse beeper audio, make sure your Truck Effects sound volume slider is at least at 50% in the Audio Settings. I know it's not a quietness issue because the sound can be perceived further away in distance than the default.
I am able to adjust its sound volume when leaning out the window. I can do that for the next mod update if you want me to
As reported by @BeastyBill88, I find the reverse beeper audio is very quiet (and higher pitch), even when leaning out the window, compared to the default beeper audio (without your mod).
@Vulture - The mod is compatible with the new update. ✅
@BeastyBill88 - The reverse beeper audio is working fine on my end. What did change is that it's distinct from the ATS edition now. Your truck's interior soundproofing may of course have some influence to its sound volume when the windows are closed.
@Xetra - Yes :)

For the regular hurry up music, you must have its file contents point to the regular music like so:
source="/sound/music/music.bank#music/hurry_up"
If you mean the player truck horns (standard city horn or air horn), this mod doesn't change that in order to keep compatibility with other sound mods for the player truck. Though I can change the fallback one maybe
For the coming mod update in the 1.55 game version, I have increased sound volume adjustments ready for the distant approaching noise level for those train locomotives you listed.
Many thanks for your suggestion :)
About the locomotive sound volume, do you have the traffic sound volume at 50%? Because the Sound Fixes Pack is tested at this sound volume, so I want to make sure in case you have it set too low
I guess when the cap on the number of sound effects that can play simultaneously is reached, then less important sounds will be given up to keep the engine sound working
And whats the best sound in game to fast check to compare is it working or not?
In any case, thank you very much for the best sound mod for these two games! 👍
As for the default screech, it sounds like a car... 🚗
...With the Sound Fixes Pack the screech sound is more like a truck.
Furthermore, you can find evidence of the sound working in the video showcase on Youtube. It's also recently featured at the end of the "Rain & wiper sound test - Sound Fixes Pack v25.21" video
Just try, with a mod and without, connect/disable.
Turn off anti-lock braking and traction control in the Gameplay settings for easier results, because those systems tend to mitigate the screeching
The rain sounds are designed to fail before the engine sound, if this theoretical limit is reached. The solutions are mostly on SCS Software to deal with
