I keep searching for a WotC soldier class that feels half as good as these, but with no luck. I love all four of them, way more than vanilla classes.

The lack of this mod for War of the Chosen is why I still haven't picked up WotC and why I probably won't until it does, or someone manages to make a mod that feels as good as this one did in vanilla XCOM2. Sword and sniper rifle seems so freaking weird at first but once you adapt to it, it feels incredibly natural and amazingly enjoyable to use, and the supports have a proactive shield ability rather than an RNG defense boost ability made so much more sense.

I hope you have time to update this someday, Xylth!

By the way, not sure if it's been asked before, but how does Focus (first reaction shot will not miss) interact with Lightning Reflexes (first reaction shot against user will miss)? Which wins?

I'd like to do an update, but it's going to be a lot of work, and I have other projects that are higher priority. Maybe in a few months, but no promises.

Any plans to port the mod to WotC or to create a separate WotC compatible version of this mod? Love the Shadow Ops classes and it would be a blast to use them in my WotC playthrough.

The only vanilla mods that will work with WotC are *some* purely cosmetic mods.

Is there a list of which of the class abilities can be gained via AWC? The ability tree Google Doc doesn't say which of the class abilities can be gained through AWC. There's the AWC-only section, but that's for the AWC-exclusives.

Do you know what is the ability name for Snap Shot Overwatch? I want to add it to the INI for Overwatch All/Others ( ID 621695447 ) so I don't have to manually select my Snap Shot Hunters when using that mod.

Did you find the Unreal 4 code to similar to any other language? I've programmed in a few languages, and Unreal 4 code just looked like punishment from an angry god to me.

@VaultWolf this is for people not using Long War Perk Pack. It doesn't include the additional soldier rank and third column of ability choices that LWPP or LW2 adds.

They're all as AWC-friendly as possible. Obviously something like Improved Suppression isn't very useful as an AWC ability.

Given the internal restructuring of this mod in the most recent update I can't help but wonder if it's essentially the newer LW version with the original ability trees. If that's the case does the code for the newer abilities exist within it? There are several abilities in the LW version (I don't use the Perk Perk) that'd I'd love to swap into this, in particular moving Suppression to a default ability and making Coup de Grace oppose Bullet Swarm.

But in turn those special units have less generalist capability than the infantry, making it remain appealing. They're well designed classes.

the dragoon (100% paladin skilltree) is a frikin' beast! the hunter's habilities are a great mix on both melee and sniper rifle, two completely opposed weapons both for range and risk for the soldier, the infantry is...welp...pretty balanced, it's also good to have one or two in a mission to feel like the "special" units are more "special", AKA if you see the grenadier/artillery as your footsoldiers the other classes seems to be...not so special, but the infantry makes to look like the other classes are "special units", like in PD:TH or PD2

Can the UI changes all be safely disabled? I'm showing conflict in the UIArmory_Promotion as well as UISoldierHeader. I found the ini had an option and said it was safe to disable the Soldier header but I didn't see anything for turning off the Armory promotion change

That would be a mod conflict lago. You should get the alternate mod launcher, shows any conflicts between mods

It's inducing fairly bad lag for me too: I don't get how a class mod would do that but it appears to cause me minor tactical lag and severe geoscape lag. It's a shame because I really wanted to use some of these classes, Hunter especially. I've been looking for a good Sniper/Sword class for a long time.

Really nice and fun class !
I just found the Hunter a bit weird (and don't use anymore the sword :/ ) and, maybe the dragoon a little bit overpowered like "I shale stand in front of all the enemys and do a lots of damage", but it's really a good mod !

@Jack O'Niel this is a known issue, pretty deep in the comments here. Been around for a while. At some point the OP narrowed it down to two lines of code, a bug that is covered up in the base game but his mod brings back to the surface. C'est la vie.
