you're likely to se it change again as this one alters probability of provinces spawned. Almost impossible to get jungle and deserts with that one :D

Huh, i guess the provinces are generated every time one load a game then. Its all down to the height above water(sea level) and temperature what kind of terrain it will spawn as. So i guess these provinces are borderland between threshold of the types of provinces you have seen

It didn't change the last time I loaded up the save.
There were a shitload of marsh provinces where my country was based, loaded up the save the next day and a lot of the marsh provinces disappeared

That's odd, there is absolutely no information about RNW tribes stored in the tiles. That is handled by a file called RNWscenarios.txt And is far as im aware as long as a save has been created the nations stay the same as they are stored in the save file and not loaded through RNWscenarios.txt every time you load.

What kind of terrain is presented can change even on discoved land. But only if you alter the tweaks.lua file or use a mod who alter that file. This is because this information is not stored in the save file and are loaded every time you start up your game.

Howdy.
For some reason some of the province terrains changed after loading a save I started yesterday. A few of the random names that appeared on the RNW also changed names. A norwegian culture Norse religion Volkingland country changed their name to Illiniwek.

I can only add moisture to a tile to try to avoid deserts. What kind of terrain it will end up beeing is handled by the tweaks.lua file.
Iv'e also seen that having more grassland/woods etc is more favorable when colonizing.

No guarantees, but it shouldent be any jungle or desert provinces in the new world with this one. atleast a very limited number..

Would you be willing to make this map with a temperate theme - like a European Climate? No worries if its too much to ask, I just don't really like the negative effects that the tropics give to colonisation etc. Much thanks :)

If you're using vanilla game it will usually appear in the new world after you hiy yhe "Random New World" button. If you're using other tiles in addition you'll need to add this mod as it enables more rnw provinces to be spawned as vanilla allow a very limited amount in the new world.
