Fantastic mod, love it!
bloodfist  [author] 2 May, 2016 @ 11:40am
@Cioby I am sorry if that caused you any trouble. Unfortunatly there is no such mechanic as refunding skillpoints possible thats why i posted the "warning" that you have to hire new generals/armies if you try this mod in an onging campaign.

Furthermore i would like to point out that this mod here is outdated (as specified above). If you would like to check out the up-to-date version (with bugfixes) follow this link: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=662922852
Cioby 2 May, 2016 @ 8:47am
If you activate the mod after your generals already leveled up, they have 0 skills selected. And you don't refund the points. Took me a while to realize and fucked up my save. If you could set the number of points to the level of the hero or just reset and refund points once the mod is used for the first time, it would be great. Until then I'm going to run around with some lvl 10 generals that are complete garbage

@ littleduckie Yeah you are 100% right on this one. As i was playtesting i realized that it is now a lot easier to maintain public order in newly aquired provinces etc. Unfortunatly i came up with nothing to compensate the AI for this "issue", besides mods who up the difficulty tend to not be downloaded much anyways :). I am glad that you enjoy this one. If you have any further suggestions i am all ears.
littleduckie 12 Apr, 2016 @ 10:56pm
1 very small comment, is that one thing your mod does is probably make the game a little easier as a result because it is now possible for players to have a much more optimal set up (generals/governers/traditions) than before, which doesn't extend to the AI as much (in the sense that they'll not make optimal choices around your changes...). Not a big problem, and not really something that will stop my desire to use your mod. The option to raise the difficulty of the campaign to compensate is always there :)
littleduckie 12 Apr, 2016 @ 10:53pm
@Bloodfist: BTW although my first post about save game compatibility had a somewhat critical tone, I didn't mean to be critical overall. In fact, I want to express my appreciation for the series of mods you've created including this one that does these overhauls :) I've also uprated your updated mod.
Terminally Chill™ 11 Apr, 2016 @ 10:29am
Oh just to let you know, you have to put a space in between the link and the parentishess
Terminally Chill™ 11 Apr, 2016 @ 10:28am
Awesome, thanks for the heads up Bloodfist!
bloodfist  [author] 11 Apr, 2016 @ 7:11am
Disclaimer: I have just uploaded a newer version of this mod (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=662922852) . The reason why i could not just update this mod right here is because i used some age of charlemange keys and strings in my original version. Since players without AoC could not make use of it i had to rework the whole mod with a different approach. What you get will stay the same its just backend stuff which has changed. Well thats technically not 100% correct since the newer version of the mod also reworks army traditions of all factions.

If you are starting a new campaign please use the mod provided in the link above. Have fun guys and please let me know if you think something should be changed, nerfed, buffed etc.
Anus Defiler 10 Apr, 2016 @ 1:12pm
Nope. Im waiting for the steam sales.
Btw, thanks for fast reply.
bloodfist  [author] 10 Apr, 2016 @ 12:51pm
@ Anus Defiler. I am more or less done (it is done but i am currently playtesting) with an updated version of this mod, which will fix your issue. It will also include all new army traditions in similar fashion to the character overhaul mod. Just a quick check: Do you own Age of charlemagne?
Anus Defiler 10 Apr, 2016 @ 12:47pm
Hi i had finished with your mod one campaign (and it was great). Then i decide to start next one. This time playing as desert kingdom (with DLC). Sadly i doscovered that some important skillpoint icons are missing. Im talking about this primary (wolf, raven, deer in the Geats skill tree)
Can you help me? i dont want back to the vanilla skill tree :(.
manifold samurai 8 Apr, 2016 @ 2:30pm
@bloodfist Great to hear! And totally get what you're saying. Hopefully when you will inevitably have rank up your agents you will, knowing you possess the skills to make it better, be unable to resist going back to your tables! ;)
bloodfist  [author] 8 Apr, 2016 @ 10:45am
@Nicolas Sage Thanks! I am 100% with you on this issue, besides skilling the stuff on the left hand side and assassination there is not much interesting choice going on in the agent trees i feel. I will upload an army traditions overhaul probably on the weekend and then i will have a lookt if i can do something for the agents. I have not ETA on this one because i already used more time than i initially wanted to mod the character and armies. Id rather go and playtest a bit more, you know gaming instead of looking at tables ;)
manifold samurai 8 Apr, 2016 @ 10:33am
Fantastic mod! So much better than vanilla.. I was wondering if you have any plans to do the same for agents? So often I feel like I just lose interest in their progress after I get the 4 on the left.. Anyway thx for this!
Terminally Chill™ 8 Apr, 2016 @ 9:49am
Fantastic! Downloading now, thanks Bloodfist!
bloodfist  [author] 8 Apr, 2016 @ 9:06am
@Tsarpuska @zarco94 @posuh would any one of you be willing to add me to your friends list for a day or two and test out my army traditions mod. The reason why i come to you is because i used a different method of creating new skills which should be compatible if you do not own AoC. If this works i will put in the work to change the characters mod for you and others who dont own AoC.
Dalthius 7 Apr, 2016 @ 4:39pm
@bloodfist I might just try that out; both mods have some interesting points. I like the life-extension provided by Leg Gen and a few of the tweaks, but I very much like the skill mods you have in place. More research to be done!
Chief Zuma 7 Apr, 2016 @ 4:30pm
Yesss!!! Good to hear you're working on the army traditions. I love this mod. It makes the character skills so much less pointless.
bloodfist  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 8:52am
@ Dalthius if you download the PFM pack manager and open both mods you can see which tables are used in both mods (without playtesting). I save my tables as "add-on" so it will override only the parts i edited. The legendary generals mod overrides everything as far as i understand, so it probably also depends in which order the mods load.
Dalthius 7 Apr, 2016 @ 7:42am
@bloodfist I have been toying with both your mod and Prometheus Legendary Generals; they seem at least semi-compatible. Your skills are present, but I believe the extra skill points from the other mod are there. It begs more research as both mods appear quite enjoyable.
bloodfist  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 5:18am
@steve.marte Thanks for your kind words. I am currently finishing the work on an army tradition overhaul which i will release with an updated version of this mod (so that the AoC requirement will be gone) soon.
bloodfist  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 5:15am
@ littleduckie You might be right, so i added a note explaining it in more detail. I am not very experienced in TW modding so i went with what others were doing (if it doesnt break a campaign you mention that its save game compatible).

@ Dalthius if you are talking about Prometheus Legendary Generals then it wont work since he edited his tables in an mhh "non-compatible" "all - overriding" way if that helps to explain the situation.
Dalthius 7 Apr, 2016 @ 12:21am
Would this work at all with Legendary Generals and Armies? I know it modifies some skills as well...
littleduckie 6 Apr, 2016 @ 10:19pm
I don't understand.. isn't it misleading to describe this mod as save game compatible? I mean it doesn't crash your save game, but your existing generals (even like 9 star generals) will have no skills and effectively be totally gimped.. This probably applies to AI generals as well...
Euryanax 6 Apr, 2016 @ 7:13pm
Brilliant work. Sincere thanks for this mod. It improves the game dramatically.
Zaco 5 Apr, 2016 @ 1:42am
I agree with Tsarpuska, making a separate mod for the non-AoC version seems like a common solution for this problem, at least in other games. :CrossedBlades:
Tsarpuska 4 Apr, 2016 @ 10:15am
then please upload it as a diffrent mode and everybody can be happy .
bloodfist  [author] 4 Apr, 2016 @ 7:29am
Props to TheZuma for figuring out how to solve that AoC issue. I implemented the changes he suggested to a testmod of mine and it seems to solve the problem for people not owning AoC .... but and there is always a but... If i implement the changes to this mod everyone who is currently using this mod will get screwed because it will unskill every skillpoint spent on sub-faction skills and the authority tree without refunding the skillpoints. This is obviously not acceptable, so i dont really know how to proceed from here. If you have any suggestions go for it. In the meantime i will work on my Army Traditions Overhauled and use proper methods this time from the beginning so that there will be no issues for people not owning AoC.
Xplosive 4 Apr, 2016 @ 12:27am
can confirm it works with Trait Overhaul Only - Epic Roleplay Mod - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=653518287&searchtext=
bloodfist  [author] 3 Apr, 2016 @ 2:25pm
@Lindvaettr Yes there is a good chance, but not soon unfortunatly. I am currently working for a fix so that it works for people without AoC, after that i am going to upload ArmytraditionsOverhauled and then i might have a look at the AoC campaign. As i said before, if anyone who knows how to use PFM wants to take my stuff and apply it for AoC feel free to do it.
cjlind6436 3 Apr, 2016 @ 1:20pm
Since it's not designed for AoC, is there a chance we might get a version that is?
Tsarpuska 3 Apr, 2016 @ 10:41am
great , yes im using english .
bloodfist  [author] 3 Apr, 2016 @ 9:50am
@TheZuma Sure. U dont know by any chance how to add character_skill_key entries to the db? :)
bloodfist  [author] 3 Apr, 2016 @ 9:15am
@livio it is not designed for the AoC campaign only for the grand campaign. Sorry, i should have mentioned that somewhere.
Garviel Loken 3 Apr, 2016 @ 9:12am
it isn't working properly for AOC campaign: it takes away many of the "warrior" related traits withotu replacing them
bloodfist  [author] 3 Apr, 2016 @ 8:40am
@Tsarpuska thanks for your input, i am currently figuring out how to swap the AoC keys i used to solve this problem. May i ask if you are using the english version of the game?
TheZuma 3 Apr, 2016 @ 6:26am
Hello, may i add you?
Pullo 3 Apr, 2016 @ 2:02am
Nice
Tsarpuska 2 Apr, 2016 @ 11:14pm
im sorry to say it but for me mod dosnt work withaout charlamange
Wiid 2 Apr, 2016 @ 6:23pm
Sorry I'd let you know but I have Charlemagne
bloodfist  [author] 2 Apr, 2016 @ 8:11am
Is anyone currently using this mod without owning age of charlemagne? If so are there any issues? I am currently working on overhauling the army traditions, and i would like to know if i can proceed with my current methods.
Dadumi 2 Apr, 2016 @ 12:09am
@bloodfist ok will try it out
bloodfist  [author] 1 Apr, 2016 @ 5:05pm
@Rematador I just did check the up-to-date radious mod and there is close to no overlap. He included the whole character_skill_level_to_effect_junction table into his mod (what you actually shouldn't do for compatibility reasons) so i cant be 100% sure. But i did just successfully started a game with both radious and my mod enabled and it seems like it works without any problem.

Feel free to give it a try and if there are any problems give me a heads up, i would appreciate it :)
TheZuma 1 Apr, 2016 @ 4:48pm
@bloodfist Great, thank you :)
Rematador 1 Apr, 2016 @ 4:02pm
@bloodfist: It looks interesting. Is it compatible with Radious' mod?
bloodfist  [author] 1 Apr, 2016 @ 3:58pm
@TheZuma Haha, what a coincidence. I have been playing attila for a long time and even though TW: warhammer is right around the corner i was finally fed up with the vanilla attila skill system :)

Feel free to use anything you want if you want to incorporate anything into your trait mod. I don't care where it comes from, as long as there are good mods :)
TheZuma 1 Apr, 2016 @ 3:30pm
Very cool indeed! I was gonna do something like this too, but you came before me! :)
This mod combined with my trait overhaul, remakes the characterscreen completely! :)
bloodfist  [author] 1 Apr, 2016 @ 11:32am
@Posuh Thanks for your quick reply. I used assets from AoC. I was under the impression that your data.pack file would update regardless if you bought the DLC or not (since i have entries for The last roman DLC in my data.pack file and i did not buy this DLC). Well i guess i have to wait for feedback from others. I gave this mod to friends of mine for playtesting and they reported no issues but they all own AoC :/
Posuh 1 Apr, 2016 @ 11:26am
No, I did not buy. Maybe that's the problem)
