Yippee that was quite fun!

Blindrun
Feels very No-Elements adjacent, but spiced up with… well, minimal elements. Not too hard but requires some solid spatial-3D/momentum reasoning. Getting the cube itself is really easy to overthink - luckily I didn’t dwell too long on it, but it’s tempting to try some odd fling maneuvers to get portals on both sides when all that’s really required is a realization of what can be seen from the start area if you move just to the side of the fizzler a little bit… Fucked up the end - glad I saved. That was an interesting twist, but does require the player to start basically from square one if they didn’t do what I did.

Difficulty: 4/10
Enjoyed: 7.5/10

Thumbs up. Solved as @jgaultney--at least in the important aspects. The hardest point for me was knowing I had to get enough momentum for "fall" through the ceiling of the cube chamber but finding a non-ninja way to do it--It doesn't take a ninja trick, but it took me a while to see how it could be done. I'm not fast enough to accurately shoot portals while falling through an accelerator...lifted high by the funnel much more fits my capabilities--but the accelerator idea came much earlier.

Cool map, with a nice ending sequence of moves. Great work!

I'm not a big fan of no-element-maps, but this one (technically it isn't a no-elements-map) was awesome. Btw, It's possible to finish the map with respawning and without.

Nice use of no-elements map style flings. I really enjoy these kinds of moves. Thumbs up.

Wow, what a map. That took me awhile simply because momentum maps confuse me to no end. I finally figured it out after getting the portals in the right spots between floor and cieling . Lots of fun once I figured it out. Very satisfied finishing, great job :steamhappy:

Brilliant puzzle; I really like this sort of map/logic puzzle. I think @| \_/ ()’s comments put it well :)

Really nice map!

Thanks for the chamber. Used a pseudo infinity loop near the "ceiling pillar" to gain height. Strangely enough thats the first time I saw that in a map (assuming its the intended way). The rest wasn't too hard but still fun to figure out.

You're also underated by those stupid players who can not solve your high quality tests. Every test of yours deserves to recieve many many thumb-ups.

lots of fun. great puzzle!

Very good for only one cube, one button, and one funnel. The rest is an advanced momentum puzzle and setting up for momentum.

Nice one as usual :p2cube:

Great map. I liked the mix of elements.

This is by far one of my favorite maps. I learned something new and got great satisfaction from it. Thanks, mate!

A lot of AH effects for me. And although I´m not very good with "no element"puzzles, the few tricks I learned from those, helped me to solve this. Also I really like puzzles, where you can see everything you need on first sight. Looking forward to your next map!

I love it when the AH-HA hits!

Really good! Thanks

Yeah, thanks. I try to make almost all of my maps in a similar style where the player always go anywhere to explore and experiment with possible solutions, but where a somewhat complex solution is required.

The layout is more than a bit odd, considering that for a rather "little puzzle", the chamber is huge and has so many blocks and glass planes that are there only for visual purposes.
It's giving so much freedom to the player to go everywhere with portals, yet you can make no progress if they're not used how the solution needs you to. Achieving this is really impressive actually.

I really felt like I'm playing a Portal level, not some Portal 2 laser puzzle or whatever - the focus is on the portals and that's a big plus.

So the layout (and therefore the visuals) shows your style and I really like it; the puzzle is great, the aha-moment was very satisfying. I guess there's nothing making me not want to press the favorite button. :)

If you used the funnel to get the cube, then you already have a portal in that room. You can just portal over with that and bring the cube back.
Old Git 13 Apr, 2016 @ 9:33am
Ha ha, I forgot about the steps behind the fizzler - my "clever" move with the funnel was entiely superfluous!!!
jgaultney 13 Apr, 2016 @ 8:34am
A very enjoyable funnel puzzle! My methods were slightly different from those of Old Git. :)

That was fun, here's my playthrough:

I've got a feeling that my cube retrieval method is unintended though :-)
