Generating too much culture and only costing 10 culture to utilize. I had all categories filled (except I chose Freedom and did not try to change to the others). So game hung on choosing a category to place culture. Need to fix the cost of culture choice.

I always thought the Connecticut should be a ranged (and much more powerful) replacement for the Ironclad because it is a pre-dreadnought and breaks immersion when fighting other battleships.

Great civ besides that.

I absolutely love this civ, but I ran into an odd issue and I'm not sure what caused it. I would send trade ships to city states, and upon the trade ship physically reaching the city state, it would disappear, even from my trade unit limit, but the trade route would continue to produce gold as normal? This was with the community patch since people warned of social policies not working right if you neglect it, but not the full balance patch.

When you are in the 1500's (medieval era) and this guy comes into 11 other civilizations border, including yours, with Mechanized Infantry.

Downlaoded and applied the community patch and the social policy problem has been solved. Thanks for your guidance, JFD! I'd put that it requires the community patch in the description above if I were you, though.

I am having the same culture/social policy problem as mentioned below. Roosevelt's policy costs are not going up like they should and I am getting policies for 25-45 culture. I managed to research every policy and ideological tenet by 1828 and now I am stuck because I built a wonder that gave me a free policy and I can't use it. I do have a bunch of other mods (custom civs, wonders) activated, but I have seen no other strange behavior from the game except the policy costs.

Just corroborating what Rez09 said, started a game as Teddy here and had a pretty steady stream of social policies for 70 culture around the classical era. Also not utilizing the CP, so I'll probably get around to installing that. Otherwise, great civ for being able to curbstomp the competition AND win diplomatically because you can.

Have a problem with this mod and e&d.... When Roosevelt is in the game I get his "new deal" decisions and boni too. Is this a problem with sukritacts mod or with this one?

@JFD Hey, that's fine, man; there's nothing stopping me from using the CP, I just normally test things without any other mods out of habit, so I didn't know. Thanks for the heads up and another fun civ. :)

@Rez09 That is, unfortunately, why I originally made this mod dependent upon the CP - it is a vanilla game quirk. If using the CP, this issue is resolved, otherwise, there is nothing I can do.

The Connecticuts were working for me -- watch the ships at the start of the turn, I could see a +1 infulence icon pop up. Maybe you had 1 point a turn influence decay with the CS?

Anyone have an odd bug with the policy costs using this civ? My policy costs didn't progress past 40 until I was into rationalism. :/ I had only this mod enabled for testing purposes.

There was an intersting bug in my game that caused this civ to gain uncanny amounts of influence over city states, even to the pint of being over 1,000 points ahead of me.

How does the Community Patch work in regards to these mods? Until I can upgrade my computer from Vista (yes I know; an antique) I can't use the CP Mod so I'm curious how not having it affects playability.

@ianandsue5 I recommend just installing the Community Patch. EUI is more of a headache than its worth, IMO.

A bit sad since the Community Patch doesn't work on mac. I love your mods JFD, but, not being able to play your newer mods due to another mod that doesn't work for us mac users does bring me, and us mac users, feeling a bit alienated. Otherwise, hope you PC people enjoy it a lot.

Ugh. So I finally can play The Colonel.except that I can't on the Mac side, or must change the whole game around on the Windows side. Is there some reason this has to have the Community Patch? Any chance of a non-Patch version?

@ianandsue5 Oh, and the next civilization will most likely be Philip II's Spain, although do not anticipate this until late next month or so - like I said, gotta a bit of RL work to catch up on.

@ianandsue5 I recommend using the Automatic Installer instead, as then it'll set up everything for you, clearing your cache and ensuring that everything begins smoothly. Just be sure to choose to install only the Community Patch when you get the option.

I'm a little backed up with RL work atm, so I couldn't spare any time atm to help. Sorry.
