good map but the lift down to the incinerator is anti gravity for some reason resulting in anything and everything i send down there to go flying all over the place. Including the player. Very annoying, would be a fun map other wise, but it's way too big of a bug to overlook.

Very fun, thank you! :autonautwuv::vcdsign:

Nice map, I was expecting a lot more bodies on top of the crates and was also happy there were no bodies on the crates. Also chucking stuff down the chute was not as messy as I thought it would be, even with dirty buckets.
CarThief  [author] 21 Mar, 2021 @ 11:46am
I don't remember coding the stool objects as the stools in Santa's Rampage, so it is highly unlikely they'll count if you stack 10 of them.

(That makes me curious, though, would it count if you bring 10 stools, and stack them in another map? Hm... Depends on if the stools are their own unique coded object, or if Santa's Rampage has scripts checking for 10 stools being stacked.)
clumsyvampire 21 Mar, 2021 @ 10:56am
anybody know if the stools count as the ones in the christmas dlc? specifically if stacking 10 counts for the achievement
Skye 7 Feb, 2021 @ 7:25pm
Another amazing map! Loved the disposal shaft, made things so much easier. And the wood planks were a nice though frustrating challenge, but I got them done. Nice to stack something other than just crates and barrels for a change. The amount of detail you put in this one also was mind blowing. Your maps are like works of art with great messes to clean lol. Great work! Thank you!
MedivaNL 9 Feb, 2020 @ 3:56pm
We played this map today....Tiny elevator wasnt that bad. We just put things in there...moved it down from outside...then jumped down in the chute and get it. Dirty buckets can go in chute, wont spill...just fullbins, cause otherwise keeps floating away.Tand with a bit of twisting, fits in the elevator. Only problem we had was with stacking. We had a lot of tearing at the end in the crates and barrels.Kept moving as we stacked. We ended up burning all white boxes and just do crates. We didnt stack the wood, that was a real pain. Still had a 111 percent score, which was nice..;) But its safe to jump down in chute, wont kill you if you dont land outside of it. Nice map, we are a fan of your maps...:
Gamesjunkie 4 Aug, 2019 @ 8:55am
I think the bug happened when I tried to fit myself and a yellow trash bin on the lift at the same time. Turns out that was a bad idea. lol I've figured out how to work around it and I'm enjoying the map otherwise.
CarThief  [author] 4 Aug, 2019 @ 7:37am
Huh, weird... Pretty sure the console was locked onto the platform though, perhaps its one of those rare glitches you only see once or twice? Not sure if i can fix that if it's a persistent issue and i DID lock it properly to the platform.

Things you could try, though:
-Reloading the map via save&load or restarting it completely (and hoping the bug doesn't appear again).
-Jumping down the garbage disposal shaft and using that elevator instead to go back up (or to operate the broken one from the outside in both areas).
-Unsubscribing and re-subscribing to the map to possibly clean up any file errors.
-Right click Viscera, select Properties > Local Files > Check Cache Integrity. This'll check the game files (mods often included), and re-download any missing/broken files.
-If you're playing multiplayer (and join one as client), ask the host to check it out, see if it works for them or not.

The small lift next to the What-A-Load got bugged early on. The control panel inside the lift clipped into the wall. A person standing inside the lift cannot operate it. The outside panel still works.
Klingon 11 Jun, 2019 @ 8:29pm
where do i stack barrels and crates?
lexilogo 5 Mar, 2019 @ 11:32am
I just wanted to say that this is one of the best VCD custom maps in my opinion.

The shaft is something a lot of people find frustrating, but the easy workarounds are to either jump down the shaft holding a bucket, or to stack buckets (you can safely stack three within each other), place them on one of the two elevators, then use the other method to get into the basement, and call down the elevator you're using to carry buckets. (buckets are the only thing that need to be transported this way too, because garbage and disposal bins can just be thrown down the shaft)

It's an inconvenience issue that can be creatively worked around. I much prefer that to inconvenience issues like long distance hauling that most maps use.
ash 14 Dec, 2017 @ 2:15pm
The tiny elevator is literally too small for the player and a two buckets. Wouldn't have been so bad if the incinerator wasn't at the bottom. I know, I know, that's the point, but it's fucking irritating. At least in the base games, the maps don't punish you for trying to play them. It's a competent custom map but irritated me enough that I didn't want to play it.
CarThief  [author] 22 Feb, 2017 @ 7:59am
You can put the big wooden planks on there for extra points, though i wouldn't be suprised if most people find it too much of a hassle because of the middle pillar, and whatnot.
Hainsworth 22 Feb, 2017 @ 4:57am
What is the stacking area on the shelves by the incinerator for?
DevourerOfTreats 18 Sep, 2016 @ 1:17pm
Nice map, but the antigray-section in the large "escalator" with only a very small escalator as an alternative to get stuff to the incinerator makes this just too tedious for me to play.
Linzombie666 14 Aug, 2016 @ 11:03pm
I completed this map with stacking all the barrels, crates, and wooden planks(and med-wastes). And Oh My God, this is the first time I got 122% in a single map!!! This map is very nicely done!
[T|★] Rake_Steel 7 Aug, 2016 @ 6:13am
I got a perfect score on this map, great map but that one tiny platform elevator is just the worst.
CarThief  [author] 7 Jul, 2016 @ 1:31pm
Hm, probably, as it uses some stuff from the DLC. It probably won't even load if the DLC is missing. I suppose you could always wait for a sale or something, though.
DgRCAD 7 Jul, 2016 @ 1:01pm
Is the DLC completely required? I dont have the money.
Cain Virethorn 🔴 2 Jul, 2016 @ 9:17am
Ahh, okay, thanks.
CarThief  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 8:25am
Yeah that was quite intentional that the platform was so small. It's more of a platform you can move up and down to clean the shaft of blood and other problems then a full elevator, since the purpose of the shaft is to throw down junk and stuff (though using either elevator is also viable for transporting delicate stuff, like bins full of bullet casings). Also the reason why it can be stopped mid-movement by using the other screen.
Cain Virethorn 🔴 2 Jul, 2016 @ 7:34am
The elevator that is in the actual main storage room. The elevator shaft is big, yet the elevator itself is a tiny platform. Is that intentional? I can pop back in game for a screenshot if I'm doing a piss poor job of explaining it.
CarThief  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 7:05am
Hm, well with elevator i meant the platform that goes up and down, that's the moving part. Both the elevators have such parts that move around (there's 2 elevators in the map total). Not sure how to explain it any better then that. The consoles that control them should be close to the platforms.
Cain Virethorn 🔴 2 Jul, 2016 @ 6:39am
@CarThief Only the small platform is the elevator? That entire thing isn't one?
CarThief  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 6:16am
The one in the shute with the railing has a control panel on the bottom floor as well as on the elevator itself (not on the top of the shute, though), and the really cramped elevator with doors has control panels at the doors and elevator platform as well.

It shouldn't be too hard to find i'd imagine, and you can also stop the elevator in the shute while it's busy travelling by touching the blank screen right of the elevator's control panel, which lets you manually jam the elevator.
Cain Virethorn 🔴 2 Jul, 2016 @ 5:10am
How do we get the elevator to work?
The Renegadist 26 Jun, 2016 @ 9:29pm
I've added your map to the Best of the Best collection, congrats!
photogirl1211 11 Jun, 2016 @ 7:13pm
I finished this map awhile back and figured I'd give it a review like I do with all maps. First I loved the fact that there were so many collectables that didn't break, I'm a huge collector in this game. I also really enjoyed the layout/size of the map. Nice open space and with the small lower level it made it just the right size to not get bored (for me personally) Only thing that was a small pain was the anti-gravity at the bottom, sometimes when grabbing items like full/dirty buckets they would just fling themselves randomly but it became amusing nonetheless xD I did like the idea of the planks, to get extra point, but I only did maybe half, since there were alot. I love the upper level as well, feels as if thought was put when placing the items, and almost tells a small story. Nice job, I would actually replay! :steamhappy:
CarThief  [author] 5 Jun, 2016 @ 12:36am
Ah, unfortunately those giant containers can't open, and their models don't have any interior either. But maybe that i could update the map with a few more interesting items one of these days (now that i learned an extra trick or two), though that might take a while.
Not everyone enjoys looking around for bits of trash but i guess it's good some people enjoy that.
Stoyan 4 Jun, 2016 @ 10:28pm
What a fantastic map! You must have spent tons of time on this one. All the trash bits tucked into hidden places was fantastic, and the addition of the lumber to be stacks was awesome! Now if only you can create some unique treasures to find among or even inside all those giant storage cars..... hm, maybe the lost ark of the covenant is in there somewhere.....
MrSprucieBoy 13 May, 2016 @ 12:52am
well i've cleaned most of the map but i keep getting blood readings from the big elevator shaft even when its clean and footprints keep happening when i walk on the bottom of the shaft where the anti gravity is ugh...... but other than that it's a good map.
axelfirekirby 1 May, 2016 @ 10:33am
this is a really good map it looks nice it chould fit into the lore
you dont have alot of dark areas
the challange is neat and the boards are a nice touch
the only problem i have with the map is caused by the already glitchy severed legs that you get from the bucket dispensers sometimes

i whould have really liked a few more tropey type items but thats just a preffrence of mine

i really like the unbreakable vases though they look nice next to all the rest of my crap that i collect

i whould really like a seprete area for barrels i just put them next to the plank shelf
they look nice there

this map is really great!
CarThief  [author] 30 Apr, 2016 @ 9:55am
Ah, well good to know i guess. Wonder if you tried throwing down trash and bodies down the big shaft yet? That was more or less the intended design, rather then cramming them down the tiny elevators. :P (Also the reason why the big shaft's elevator has an additional control panel to it, should you throw down anything bloody.)

Though i guess one of Viscera's good points is that one could always try and clean it their way, and sometimes that is more effecient. The physics make for some overly creative solutions and boosts in effeciency, sometimes.
LeeSuss 30 Apr, 2016 @ 8:50am
Thank you CarThief, this is a really great level. I agree with Bernard the Wizard that this is the best community map I've seen.
If you fancy seeing some idiot playing your level and telling their subs how good it is then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-EaBFUaRgU
CarThief  [author] 28 Apr, 2016 @ 5:57am
Ah yes, that floaty bit was intentional, a sort of 'zero-gravity net' to reduce lag from objects piling up on eachother, should the player throw down alot in there. Suppose it's not too obvious, though, that its there for an intentional reason, should probably update the notes about that.

Sometimes it makes movement difficult but i'd rather take that then lag out after dumping several bins in there.
Bernard the Wizard 28 Apr, 2016 @ 5:39am
This is probably the best community made map I've played, could easily have been from the developers :) I particularly liked how the multiple levels and areas fit together. I experienced no bugs but my only feedback would be that floating about at the bottom of the rubbish chute was a bit wierd. Excellent job!
A JANITOR 27 Apr, 2016 @ 4:34pm
sweet:)
CarThief  [author] 27 Apr, 2016 @ 2:17pm
Well i suppose my simple method for stopping the elevator actually worked, placed a trigger which tells kismet to jam the vcmover, and that was it.
Added more blocking volumes too and i guess door shadows aren't a problem anymore.
Stacking zones should also give better bonuses now, especially the wood-stacking one.
A JANITOR 27 Apr, 2016 @ 1:10am
can move triggers and attach them to any interp actor in triggers properties set physics to interpolating
works on security cameras too=moving cameras
attach actor to the interp actor in actor properties(hard attach) the same way attaching the elevator control panel to the lift n it put a green square around it saying they joined together:)
dont use attach to actor in kismet it freaks out on the client big spaz out:)
matinee stuff to move to jam the lift should work
maybe try that in kismet the tricky part is getting the trigger to not interfere with the control panel on the lift
in kismet use the trigger as take damage and set the mop n broom to it so can stop the lift with the mop and broom and still be able to use the control panel:)
jus an idea to tinker with as thats a cool lift ya made:vcdbin:
CarThief  [author] 27 Apr, 2016 @ 12:58am
I was thinking of using kismet to issue a jam command to the lift actor, though i haven't tried that yet, the button, if jamming works, would probably be a trigger on something, attached to the elevator somewhere (assuming triggers don't mind being attached to stuff, can't find a moving-friendly version of them).

Guess i'll try and figure out what option disables casting shadows from the elevator door movers too, already got a list of things todo anyway, just gotta do em at some point...
A JANITOR 26 Apr, 2016 @ 6:21pm
its a cool map theres no bugs unless careless
if ya get stuff stuck behind things(easy to do) just use killnearestmess esp if losing stuff behind things is part of the challenge(intensional)
a stop button for the lift hmm maybe a couple of interp actors that can jam the lift could be done
like press a button on the keyboard and something blocks the path of the lift dunno if that would work never tried adding a button to jam the lift before/disable accepts shadows on the wire lift doors it look nicer:)
CarThief  [author] 26 Apr, 2016 @ 6:23am
Eh, bugs? Not really bugs, just the possibility of items getting stuck behind things, its more of an user error. That said, there are plans to avoid such problems from happening by user error (or plain bad luck).
Though no guarantee it'll be a fast patch, it's not particularly high-priority and i still have many things to do.

Maybe additional features delay the patch even more, like trying to add a stop button to the elevator in the disposal shaft, which would make cleaning it alot simpler (for now jumping on it as it goes up will do the job). No actual bugs, so far, though, despite how troublesome it was to build.
Think the map's been on the workshop for somewhat longer then a day now.

acually i cant tell because my computer clock is trash and wont work properly
S.D.U AUS 26 Apr, 2016 @ 5:30am
i knew there would be bugs with the map since it was just released like 10-12 hours ago
CarThief  [author] 26 Apr, 2016 @ 3:21am
Hm, well from what i've seen while making the map, disabling decals from showing on static meshes doesn't actually stop them from existing and lowering your score, atleast when disabling them in a static mesh's properties.

Suppose i could put in some blocking volumes here and there, though it's rarely a concern with the containers, there's almost no trash on any of them, you'd have to deliberately throw trash in there. Might be a problem with welder abuse but i doubt i can do much about that.

A JANITOR 25 Apr, 2016 @ 8:02pm
hi nice level looks awesome 1 problem
might have to put quite a few blocking volumes behind shelves shipping containers lockers incinerator/and a suggestion disable shadows on the elevator gates to get rid of the gate shadow showing through the walls=looks nicer cool lift btw:)
in many places i was able to toss trash n gibs into gaps n tight spaces that i cant get to to clean
to disable blood sticking to those areas can disable decals on stuff behind the containers/under them so welder scorches dont travel there water volumes also work as a blood shield n can make em silent/no splash noise when put inside a blocking volume?
