I've almost done with updating Reworked Cultures. After that it's Contest Europa. Then OCT
As of right now this mod is compatible with 1.17.
When you take decisions that change your culture (like forming the Gurkhani Empire/Mughals) the mod will now save your culture conversion efforts and apply them to the new culture.
Sorry, it says in the top but it's easy to miss.
You follow the same instructions just replace one mod name with the other.
It's the same process.
That folder is where steam will save the mod as a .zip file. You just need to find the .zip file and then follow the directions to set up the mod.
You are having trouble installing the mod?
Try doing a manual install, see my instructions posted in the description or here:

Unsubscribe from the mod to start and then follow the directions.
The windows search might not be seeing the file because it is within the steam .zip right now.
The file is called "organic culture"
culture will spread through a strait, but it takes a lot longer

Well it can certainly work that way too. It's an interesting concept. In 'modern' times we tend to think of culture as more or less fixed. It was once thought of as a lot more fluid. That's what I'm getting at with this mod.
Glad you enjoy the mod, thanks for the note.
I'd love to be able to do this, but I do not think it's possible. The map modes are hard coded and not available for modding. I'd love to be proven wrong here, so please let me know.
You can change this manually, but not really a config. Open up the mod, find the file organicculture_events. In the file change all instances of 'months = 960' to a value of your choice. Save the file and you are set. (I would use Find and Replace functions for this)
The 80 years figure is the base, modified by everything else, so it can be shorter or longer depending on circumstances I describe in the linked thread.
Ok thanks, I'm trying to replicate your error and see what's going on
Extended timeline
Idea variation
idea variation extended timeline addon

and i think unify england and france (which i can no longer use)
First off, you are not wasting my time and you never need to appologize. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know about a potential issue. So thank you for taking the time.
This mod will only convert a province to your nation's primary culture, never another culture.
Your primary culture is not Scottish but the provinces are being converted to Scottish? I'm not sure what is happening there. OCT and ET won't do that (on their own). What other mods do you have active? I am not really sure but I would guess there is a larger compatibility issue.
This mod should add a province modifier to the Welsh provinces that makes then 'Anglicized' and then after a time converts them to your primary culture (which I would guess is English).
i will admit this was likely a misreading on my end but i assumed that it would either add a modifier to a province that would counter the effects of non-accepted culture as the events pop-up (which is the non-culture swatch option you do) or would by some mod magic make provinces into an accepted culture by like increasing culture acceptance to like 0.1 percent pop.
now forgive me for wasting your time if this is something already covered but i want my welsh barbarians to become english speaking welsh barbarians not scottsman
Not entirely sure I understand the question.
If you are using this mod with ET and with the patch and you have selected a culture conversion option and your primary culture is scottish THEN yes, this is the intended effect.
If you do not want culture conversion then choose the no culture conversion option.
Tell me more about what you find the problem if I am not understanding.

Yes it does convert, if you choose to play with the conversion option. If not then it will just be hybridized. But if it is the province 'converts' to hybridized AND it is an accepted culture or part of a culture union then you will not recive any special bonus (because there will be a counter bonus modifier).
If you don't like the culture conversion then just choose 2) No Culture Conversion and you are all set. There will be a modifier on the province and a counter modifier resulting in no net change in province bonuses. But that hybridized province still acts as a point from which you can convert further provinces.
