I fixed the syntax errors in the mod, works now but I only tested it for 30 min or so as the geth.
Paste the "media" (\Mass Effect Overhaul fixed\media) folder over the existing mods "media" (\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\270150\678279682\media) folder

Feel free to do what ever you want with the files I was just feeling nostalgic and got sick of not being able to play it again

uhm, I know this is a dead mod, but I have a problem that stated failed to load balistic shield weapon, which is a weapon for cerberus

is there a way to fix this?

@マリアナの栄光 That's just how the game was made and is not something that can be changed. I'm assuming because the blocks aren't hugely noticeable on character models because they're small, and because they're more performance friendly for large battle scenes? You'd have to ask the devs for the real answer, I'm just guessing.

oh well, that was a wild guess anyway, i know nothing about modding anything, maybe use a collow patter that makes the armor merge with the enverioment ? i dont know, maybe just leave it the way it is

@CyberFox At the time I made this there was no way to make the cubes transparent, nor was there a way to change the cube size per object. You can only change the size of all rendered cubes with the slider in the options menu. I'm assuming that hasn't changed so there's not much that can be done about this.

its just how the game is, also, instead of turning the player invisible, why dont make them turn into a sillioete(i dont know how to write this, please forgive me) with transparent cubes in the inside, or just force the player cubes to be really tiny, but not extremely tiny, just enough to give you the cloak flickering.
i know the characters and objects are made out of cubes in this game, so you can be able to change the vallues and propreerties of these units, i guess

@elijeant1 It doesn't. Wearing it means the enemy will have a harder time seeing you, but you can't turn invisible or anything fancy like that.

I'm assuming the solution to this is basically switching all the default_male from all troops into default and the default from all the female troops into default_female. Let me try

So apparently I just tried your fix and for some reason it doesn't change, instead the loading screen gets stuck on 75% and then crashes... and when I return it back to where it was it loads, wtf

look at steamapps/ workshop/ content / 250170 (or270150, dont remember). Then, look over the files in there, one should be the mass effect mod

@Dorfus I'm finished with the mod so don't expect any updates, unless someone else is continuing the mod. In terms of the female only thing, the game doesn't allow you to choose sex, so I had to hardcode which models the player uses.
It's v easy to change though, find the "Alliance.xml" in "\media\packages\masseffect\factions" (in the RWR directory).

Scroll down to "default male group" and change "soldier name="default_male"" to "soldier name="default"".
The player model only uses the "default" soldier type.

After that, scroll down to "default female group" and change "soldier name="default"" to "soldier name="default_female"".

Haven't played this game in ages, but I think that'll work. If it doesn't you can just swap the model names I guess. The female models are labelled with "Fem" so you can just brute force a solution.

Is there a fix for the alliance female only player character models bug? Or am I missing something? Did a bit of research and I saw that it has been a thing since 2016, are you still working on it?

@Kirathel you mean the weapon icons? All I did was extract the weapon icons from the Mass Effect Games using ME3Explorer. Then I just changed the size, and maybe some other small tweak. I forget what I did specfically, but it was nothing hard.

Dont even mind on update it if you dont want dude, would be awesome to keep working on it but modders are modders, they are not workers (at least dont "work" at modding). And when you start doing something only cause you "have to" is when you start ruining everything :|

Untrue, most people make mods for things they personally would like to see, thus why they spend weeks of their freetime developing a mod. Unless they've made a promise or have been paid (or perhaps even donated to), an obligation does not exist.
That said, I'll update whenever the mod is broken by offical RWR updates. At least for the foreseeable future.
No more content will be added though.
