Currently this mod will cause a crash when starting a new game and maybe loading into an existing one. Tested with only this mod active.

Updated for 3.0.2
Der Schneehase 16 Apr, 2021 @ 2:29am
As of version 3.0.1 dick update with Nemesis expansion active, this mod makes my Stellaris crash to desktop. Once deactivated, the game starts fine.

Hooray! Thanks. :D

I just tested it with a clean profile and subscribed via steam and it works fine. You may need to delete/rename the mod folder in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris and also the mods_registry.json file.

Here is a guide for EU4 that applies to mods with Stellaris and the new universal launcher: https://www.reddit.com/r/eu4/comments/d8xa5i/how_to_fix_problemscrashes_when_starting_eu4/

Still no luck, even when I started a new game to try it in. Is there anything I'm supposed to do to switch it on or is it just plain not working for me?
DaciaSaoirse 5 Dec, 2019 @ 8:23pm
I just tried again, and it still didn't work. Gonna try un and re-subbing to make certain I have the new version, but it seems it might not be fixed.
flAked  [author] 5 Dec, 2019 @ 9:11am
@DaciaSaoirse: Thanks for letting me know, the new launcher and mod tools are bit of a pain. I uploaded a new version, hopefully it works now.
DaciaSaoirse 4 Dec, 2019 @ 9:50pm
I just installed this to access some components on a 5-section modded ship. and... well it doesn't work. At all. It's changed literally nothing.

Is there some kind of hidden mod menu or something that I have to use to turn this mod on?
flAked  [author] 4 Jan, 2019 @ 11:10am
The other mod enlarges most of the windows to fill the entire 1080p view, without any spacing. I bet the ship designer also looks different, as I made a custom one. But just try it out, maybe you like the bigger screens.
Demiurge 4 Jan, 2019 @ 11:04am
whats the difference between this and ui 1080p overhaul plus?
Demiurge 4 Jan, 2019 @ 10:10am
ui scaling makes the font a bit blurry though. Nothing that i can't deal with, its just annoying to my eyes
flAked  [author] 4 Jan, 2019 @ 9:54am
@Demiurge: I played around with enlarging the new planet view, but it requires rearrangement of every element. All I could do is add more spacing between them. The population tab would benefit from a longer list, though.
You could increase the UI scaling in the options menu to make every window bigger. Be aware that there can be some cutoff when using this mod with scaling, because of the changed dimensions.
Demiurge 4 Jan, 2019 @ 9:37am
is there any way to make individual windows bigger? that planet view window in vanilla is too small for me. i need it bigger. Does this mod adress that?
ΟΥΤΙΣ 20 Dec, 2018 @ 3:53pm
@flAked The planet view has a good size in my opinion. It might be a bit too small for my taste if I did not use UI scaling but it works fine in combination with it.
flAked  [author] 20 Dec, 2018 @ 9:17am
@Wolfgang: Thanks! I haven't played much of the expansion yet, let me know if you spot some elements that could be improved. I'm hesitant to change the planet view, the first tab is tricky to enlarge.
ΟΥΤΙΣ 20 Dec, 2018 @ 8:18am
Great mod! I use experimental UI scaling otion set 1.4 because I find the symbols on the map too tiny without on 1440*3440 but most the UI mods I used before make the windows too big to work well with that option.
This mod works well and I think I found my sweet spot UI wise(I also use the tiny outliner though).
Kepos 13 Dec, 2018 @ 2:15pm
@flAked
Thx the notice. NSC is the troublemaker and they are not willing or able to change that view. So I unsubscribed NSC2 as the ships could be constructed other way.

One request: There is a mod called Larger Menu Bar Icons which unfortunately is completely incompatible with any other mod altering the interface. Would you think about an integration/adoption to your fine mod?
flAked  [author] 13 Dec, 2018 @ 3:44am
@LuPoM
The mod only changes UI files. As far as I know, any mod that doesn't change the checksum works fine with achievements.

@Kepos
Station view is not modified by this mod, so it must be NCS or interface scaling.
LuPoM 13 Dec, 2018 @ 2:09am
Ironman compatible means also Achievement compatible? It's not always the same, and I want to be sure!

Thank you!

Initial 2.2 update, might contain bugs
flAked  [author] 29 Mar, 2018 @ 9:22am
Updated for 2.0.2
flAked  [author] 26 Feb, 2018 @ 9:14am
They designed the scaling for the original window sizes, that's why it is cut off at 1.2x. If you want some scaling, it probably works fine with 1.1x
Kepos 26 Feb, 2018 @ 6:05am
Oh, yes, you're right. 1.2 scaling is on. But if you use % measures it shouldn't be a problem, I thought? NP, seems I can live with this only overhanging. Thx for viewing the case. :steamhappy:
flAked  [author] 26 Feb, 2018 @ 5:57am
UI Cyan only changes the backgrounds, so I'm guessing you have UI scaling on in the settings? This is how it looks on my machine:

Kepos 26 Feb, 2018 @ 5:43am
Well, no obvious one. Best guess would only be UI Cyan... :KOh:

flAked  [author] 26 Feb, 2018 @ 5:28am
@Kepos: Looks fine on my end, perhaps you have some other mods enabled that change the ship designer?
Kepos 25 Feb, 2018 @ 11:54am
Ah...one tiny thing. Shipdesigner overhanging a bit at the bottom, like 5mm, so the numbers of shields are no longer viewable. Rest is fine.
Kepos 25 Feb, 2018 @ 11:39am
Perfect, thx! Even working with UI Cyan natively on Cherryh 2.0.
flAked  [author] 14 Dec, 2017 @ 10:15am
works fine with 1.9.1
ZTyoho 9 Dec, 2017 @ 9:06am
Thank u so much!
flAked  [author] 9 Dec, 2017 @ 9:02am
@ZTyoho: if you mean the Cleaner Galaxy UI and Cleaner System UI mods, yes they work fine with this mod
ZTyoho 9 Dec, 2017 @ 8:43am
Does it fit Cleaner UI :D?
flAked  [author] 30 Oct, 2017 @ 1:27pm
@Pietas: thanks for the tip!
I think there is a bug in that UI code, not showing a scrollbar, when it overflows. I enlarged the bottom box by 100px, which might be a bit much. I don't know how many traits are realistic to show up in that box at endgame, pls let me know.
Pietas 30 Oct, 2017 @ 10:31am
@ author-- you posted about genemodding a while ago, but if you haven't looked into it since then research_technologies in the console will give you the "standard" genemodding techs
flAked  [author] 25 Oct, 2017 @ 12:42pm
Fully compatible with 1.8.3
flAked  [author] 12 Oct, 2017 @ 4:35pm
Actually, a savegame with gene modification points available would be more useful, there doesn't seem to be a console cheat command for it.
flAked  [author] 12 Oct, 2017 @ 3:44pm
@Aethelfrith: I'm happy to add it, could you perhaps send me a screenshot?
Aethelfrith 12 Oct, 2017 @ 2:49pm
I got this mod in the hopes that it would expand my trait genemod window, which currently has the bottom row cut off, but no luck. It's still to small, unfortunately, and I want a trait that just happens to be in the last row.

I wouldn't mind fixing this issue myself, if I knew what to tweak. Any ideas?
Cytrix Drakani 21 Sep, 2017 @ 9:18am
oh yea sorry for not replying but yes this is compatible with ship power stations, the other 1080p overhaul i was trying is not tho

and thanks for such a fast update to 1.8!
flAked  [author] 21 Sep, 2017 @ 8:32am
Now updated for 1.8! Also includes a bigger Edict view.
Cytrix Drakani 31 Aug, 2017 @ 7:24am
gonna check myself in like 2 seconds, but asking if it's compatible with built in power stations, so you know the question's there
flAked  [author] 30 Jul, 2017 @ 3:42am
@rwaddington97: What is your display resolution? Mods optimized for 1080p usually require a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and I bet your laptop has less vertical resolution?
TheSenate 29 Jul, 2017 @ 10:12pm
So, I have a problem, mods like this fit evrything together properly on screen but it cuts the bottom half off so i cant access my modules like shields and such, I play on my laptop if that has anything to do with it. Any suggestions?
Epic of Gilgamesh 10 Apr, 2017 @ 6:54am
Does this by chance fix the fleet interface? I reported the bug to paradox, but just planning for worst case if they don't fix it.

Mod is updated for 1.5, let me know if there are any glitches that I missed.
