Know this hasn't been updated in nearly a year but, Can this be updated for 3.9?
BlackLaser 4 Jun, 2023 @ 5:16am
Thank god there is someone with an updated mod that also has the tomb world function!
Thank you! :trueheart: checked over 20 mods before I found yours

@Dallan
Awesome, thanks.
Dallan  [author] 17 Mar, 2023 @ 9:02am
Updated for 3.7, thanks for your patience!
Dallan  [author] 25 Feb, 2023 @ 2:05pm
oh man my bad, I haven't played Stellaris in forever and didn't expect this to break

anyway I expect I'll dip back into this game with First Contact and I'll try and fix this mod before then
cmalimartinez 11 Nov, 2022 @ 9:59pm
Armageddon bombardment got removed. I deactivate the mod and Armageddon bombardment is available again.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue.
Paul 9 Oct, 2022 @ 2:44am
Can you make some other version with all damages 10 times higher atleast for armageddon?
Thanks for this mod.
sigge 15 Sep, 2022 @ 4:10am
Doesn't seem to work anymore, at least while using NSC.
troppei 30 Aug, 2022 @ 6:38am
so good
Bugsecks 8 Jan, 2022 @ 5:40pm
3.2 It works.
Drazzy 23 Jul, 2021 @ 12:14am
so is it ok if I use this mod on existing save file?
FrozenParagon 27 May, 2021 @ 3:19pm
I fixed the event to trigger habs and ring splodings and ONLY those two now. feel free to copy my changes from my mod. it's population zero now instead of devastation
FrozenParagon 17 May, 2021 @ 6:08pm
I have all DLCs currently. habitats/rings are just emptying like in vanilla. I made a mod that triggers on devastation. it replaces the unbidden bombardment event with an identical one that doesn't czech for bombardment ownership

Devastating Devastation if you wanto see what i did.
Dallan  [author] 17 May, 2021 @ 5:45pm
@frozenparagon: The on_action is actually not for the main event, it's for another one that I introduced as a bug workaround back in 2.7 and may no longer be necessary. The main part of the mod modifies the vanilla event that fires on zero_pops so I didn't need to change the on_action there.

As for your bug, that's really weird as I haven't seen any changes that would affect that. What's happening to your habs/rings, are they just emptying or is it some other weird thing? Are regular planets still going tomb-world and are you still getting the unity and war exhaustion?

Basic questions incoming - do you have the Apocalypse DLC (that feature is locked behind it to avoid duplicating paid features)? Is there another mod you have running that overwrites event action.81?
FrozenParagon 13 May, 2021 @ 5:27pm
@ Dallan you might need to change on_planet_bombarded to on_planet_zero_pops in stronger_ob_on_actions i'm going to test it
FrozenParagon 12 May, 2021 @ 2:13pm
sad news: habs aren't popping and ringworlds aren't ruining
Nobody100 12 May, 2021 @ 12:15pm
Is it possible to make armageddon bombardment accessible for fanatic militarists and/ or xenophobes too. I think it is odd that a militaristic goverment can not use armageddon because why should they care for an enemy planet?
FrozenParagon 11 May, 2021 @ 11:11pm
the best part of this mod is how it currently works AND most importantly: it can ruin a megas day and pop habs
Dallan  [author] 28 Apr, 2021 @ 10:31am
I've updated the mod for 3.0 - it should have worked already but now the Menace perk that enables Armageddon bombardment should function.
Dallan  [author] 24 Dec, 2020 @ 1:02pm
@Daedwartin: Thanks for the heads-up, I'll clean those both up and update this week. I haven't played Stellaris in some time so I appreciate detailed bug reports like that to get my attention.

edit: fixed

@Petra: Depending on how the mod that enabled Armageddon more broadly works (I can think of two ways to do one, one that would be compatible with this mod and one that would not be), it might be overwriting my changes completely or partially and causing the issues you describe.
Daedwartin 22 Dec, 2020 @ 4:52pm
BTW, somehow your mod has a rogue file in it. You have a duplicate .BAK of the planetary bombardment. This causes none of your changes to work. Also, you forgot to properly include any pops with the trait_machine_unit in the pox bombardment exceptions.
[C] Petra 15 Nov, 2020 @ 3:43pm
Javorian Pox becomes very slow (much slower to kill than armageddon) and the bombardment becomes invisible if I add a mod that enables armageddon for more ethics. With just this mod, it does work visually but the pop kill rate is still a bit pokey, maybe one a month--not sure if that is correct.
Octavian Erebus 24 Oct, 2020 @ 11:26pm
finally my 90k fleet can bomb the xeno scum into submission WITHOUT TAKING 100 YEARS! thanks :)
Dallan  [author] 21 Oct, 2020 @ 10:40am
@The Illusive Man: Sorry to take so long at this - I couldn't nail down what was causing it for the longest time, but I've now figured it out and patched the mod to correct it.
Aranha Maluco 12 Jun, 2020 @ 1:10am
Hello @Dallan your mod is wonderful and you is a better guy for ever update him and helps me ever to exterminate the Xeno scum, however your mod does not work with the relic of the Javorian Pox Orbital Bombardment, i tried to use, and simply the ships do not bomb anything on the planet and stay still, when I disable your mod the bombing is carried out and the effects on the organic population are catastrophic. I would like, if it were possible you fix this bug...
Dallan  [author] 24 May, 2020 @ 5:45am
Thanks for the report. The message occurs for the planet owner, which makes sense: I've already noticed that for some reason the code I implemented to figure out who owns the planet is identifying the bomber instead ( I guess because they _control_ the system.)

I'll see how I can avoid that and upload a new fix.
nosivaste 24 May, 2020 @ 2:26am
when i bombed a planet into a tombworld using armageddon bombardement, i got the usual popup message that is supposed to occur for the bomber, but i also got the one that is supposed to occur for everyone else who is not the bomber
Dallan  [author] 22 May, 2020 @ 3:22pm
Updated to fix the tomb world bug - it actually IS a vanilla bug (both this mod and vanilla's version of the tomb world event check for something that the game engine now clears immediately when a colony is destroyed, before firing any events) so I coded up a clever workaround.

I've also removed a rate limiter that was buried in defines, because only being able to kill a maximum of 36 pops a year from orbit Simply Will Not Do. I am open to feedback if colonies are now dying too quickly, though.
Aranha Maluco 20 May, 2020 @ 1:26am
Update
nosivaste 6 May, 2020 @ 6:38am
sure will! :)
Dallan  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 5:50am
I don't recall vanilla DEs having access to Armageddon bombardment (and tombworlds require Armageddon or Pox bombardment), but I don't usually play robots so I could be wrong.

Anyway I've updated the mod with some code fixes for the tomb world event, but I haven't had time to play in a week or two so I haven't gotten a chance to test - please let me know if they still don't work.
K0rruptedYouth 6 May, 2020 @ 5:00am
@nosiwaste not being able to make tomb worlds is a vanilla bug. I found out too while playing a determined exterminator.
nosivaste 27 Apr, 2020 @ 8:03am
i tried only using this mod, and the bombardement does not turn it into a tomb world
Dallan  [author] 27 Apr, 2020 @ 7:47am
@nosiwaste: it might be a bug (and I do have some updates to that event's code that I was testing but didn't get around to implementing on live that might fix it) but it might also be a mod conflict with something else that overwrites the action.81 event, or the vanilla file that contains it. Are you running anything else that might do that?

@starvation:That's really strange, because the mod DOES have a descriptor.mod file, but I'll try rewriting it when I next update.
nosivaste 26 Apr, 2020 @ 8:41pm
Armageddon bombardement does not seem to be turning planets into tomb worlds... is this a bug or something?
Starvation 21 Apr, 2020 @ 9:01am
The launcher says that "The modification does not include a descriptor file." (I translate from Russian into English, so I don’t know how this phrase is exactly written in the original)
Nicho 17 Mar, 2020 @ 11:53pm
Dallan, you're a fantastic modder. Thanks for getting onto this so swiftly! I'm running an Achievements Safe run at the moment but when I switch all my mods back on for a new run, I'll check this all out.
Mc.turdle 17 Mar, 2020 @ 8:38pm
Thank you for update!
Dallan  [author] 17 Mar, 2020 @ 4:56pm
Updated for 2.6.

As for Liquid Snake's bug report, I think I've caught up with the current format for bombardment_stances.txt,, so it should work now, but I haven't had time to test it myself so please let me know if it persists.
Dallan  [author] 15 Mar, 2020 @ 3:19pm
@Liquid Snake: I'll be updating for 2.6 and I'll try to fix that when I do (assuming I can reproduce it). Thanks for the report!
Nicho 5 Mar, 2020 @ 1:27pm
Bug report: I've got a fleet of 100 Fleet Size, bombarding a planet with 90 pops left on it. Devestation is at 100% and has been for a long time now. The mod definitely increased the rate at which devestation accumulated, from about 0.18 to 0.5. However, while the mod is active, it seems that no pops will die / be killed on the planet under bombardment. When I deactivate this mod alone, the devestation rate drops down to 0.18 again, but pops start dying again too.
I've tested it over the course of a few years, mod on and mod off, and confirmed I wasn't imagining things.
I am using the 'Indescriminate' stance exclusively in this case.
It's most curious, and I do wonder what is happening there! Any ideas?
Bobby Tables 24 Jan, 2020 @ 2:48am
could you write the current compatible version in the description? I'm wondering if it's compatible with 2.5.1
Rafocale 22 Jan, 2020 @ 5:41am
Thanks for the update.
Dallan  [author] 19 Jan, 2020 @ 1:24pm
Yes, this affects the Jovian Pox bombardment as well, it's also been scaled to match the other bombardment types.

I haven't played Stellaris in a while (waiting on the Federations patch basically) but, looking at the mod itself, it looks like it's still compatible.but I'll update the files so the launcher will stop complaining.
Sauron's Bro 18 Jan, 2020 @ 10:39pm
could you update this to 2.5?
JenkoRun 31 Jul, 2019 @ 3:35pm
Does this also affect Jovian Pox Bombardment?
Space_Lettuce_OG 31 Jul, 2019 @ 3:30pm
Hell ya!
Zer0_Requiem 20 Jun, 2019 @ 3:08pm
Will do, I just got War Dec'd by a Puifer so I'll let you know
