How does the mining and research stations work? do they have a "Mining" or "Research" module, or is it based on being in orbit, which other stations can't do.

Could you figure out if you could make upgraded mining and research stations, with percent or flat bonuses?

Update is out - they changed a few things, not all I kept (such as the individual computers for each ship class seemed a bit pointless). It all appears to be working, but let me know if you come across any problems.

So you need spaceport tech level 2, and you need to design a corvette station in the ship designer. Then you can build it from your constructor like any other military station

I'll also look in to if they finally updated their modding system so that to update a few stats you don't need to have the entire file in the mod

Do you have a version where you have only your combat AI and ship mass changes?

Rest of your mod sounds interesting but those changes clash with other popular mods out there.

Confirming that offensive buffs from computers do not work (range, damage, speed)

Thanks for the bug report - in my testing I've definitely seen fire rate working for stations, but I'll push it to the extreme on ship computers just to make sure
I'm aware that range_mult doesn't work, so I've just finished re-adjusting spaceport weapons (and since the range is now what I wanted, I've reduced their damage) and removed it from the balanced computers (buffed the other stats instead)

As for renaming the mod, screenshots, and videos, well that may all come in time - it's still a work in progress, and I'm not really advertising it or anything. Thanks for your input though!

Consider a better name for the mod...just sayin' I'm sure its a decent mod, but better screenshots andor a video won't go amiss to encourage peeps from trying ut over zBeautiful Battles.

Uploaded a small patch to reduce the engagement range when you don't have any battle computer.. "median" does not properly calculate your weapon firing distance, so I had to make it a fixed value

Very interested to see how this works. Have a few mods that may also touch on a few of the areas you include in your mod. Will let you know what, hopefully no, conflicts seem to appear. I love the thought process here. The combat is too simple vanilla and the tweaks you mention seem very well reasoned. Continued success!
