I'm sorry to have to ask, but would you mind clarifying what 'Not fixed in LW2, compatible and required.' means? I'm at a bit of a loss.. ':D The first half of the sentence makes me think it doesn't work, then the second half makes me think it does lol. I'd appreciate the help. (:

(And regardless of if it works for me in particular, I appreciate you thinking up this mod. I'm in the same camp as you, it makes much more sense for constriction to cause more sustained damage than initial.)

Viper_Bind_BaseDamage is now the initial bind damage only. It's part of the original game, and is already configurable in the base INI files.

How do I remove the initial bind damage? I tried deleting the ; infront of the text that looks like a script and changing the 2 into 0 but it didn't change anything since a Viper and Neonate still does 2 damage.

@Vortex-Pixalation You'll need to use Notepad++ all the time not just that time, but you can turn off the view all chars once its cleaned.

@Vortex-Pixalation Use Notepad++, pick "show all characters" and then remove the weird stuff from there. There's hidden corrupt characters.

It also always felt extremely unfair that the damn things would get a pretty much free-hit without much chance of dodging while they stay in heavy cover - now, if I abandon my soldiers to their clutches, yeah, high damage is totally my fault, but that first hit? No, no, I think not.

It's required if you want all snakes to do no damage on bind, but lots of damage on constriction each round. Which is what i enjoy, massive pain over time.
