Also I just noticed on my last comment, I asked the same question twice...
Here's how I found a workaround for this (don't blame me if it corrupts something in your game through):
I saved my game when Karl Franz had a few spare skillpoints.
I reloaded the game and deactivated mods I had installed that increased the skill cap on lords/heroes and added more skill options to their skill tree. You mentioned skills so I figured it was worth a shot.
Then I opened my save to see that I was infact able to tech up to Deathclaw with the few skill points I had.
I then saved my game again, exited to desktop, re-enabled the skill-related mods, and restarted the game.
Upon loading my save I saw that I still had the Deathclaw skill locked in (and Deathclaw listed as the mount on the character details sheet) while still having all the expanded skill options.
Do you intend to do a chaos version? And if so, may I dare to ask if there is any way to get a Chaos Dragon for Achaon?
