You're most welcome. Enjoy the game :)
Lampros 25 Oct, 2017 @ 3:29pm
Ah, ok; thanks much! ;)
Molay  [author] 25 Oct, 2017 @ 3:28pm
None that I'm aware of. But you can copy the file from your WH1 folder and copy it into the WH2 folder, it works just fine.
Lampros 25 Oct, 2017 @ 3:19pm
Is there a version of this for WH 2?
Artemis 10 Aug, 2017 @ 10:52am
Just to know, combined this with other mods (radius) and a little morale penalty comes back XD (-5 leadership)
Molay  [author] 10 Aug, 2017 @ 10:48am
That's good to know, Artemis. So I don't have to change anything, sweet :) Thanks!

Norsca patch: Working on custom battles and campaign. Well done :D (tested on all difficulties except Legendary)
Kazaanh 13 Mar, 2017 @ 9:12am
doesnt work tbh
Molay  [author] 24 Jan, 2017 @ 2:24am
Just reinstalled the game and am playing with my mod, which is working just fine. Not sure why it isn't for you.
Sleepy 7 Jan, 2017 @ 9:15pm
Only removing this specfic bonus, in battle, seems to cause this crash.
Sleepy 7 Jan, 2017 @ 9:14pm
Scratch that. This mod and others that seem to change this effect seem to crash the game several turns in.
Sleepy 1 Jan, 2017 @ 5:41pm
Tested this mod with, and without. It works fine for me. Haven't tested legendary.
Chef 29 Dec, 2016 @ 6:33am
sorry but doesn´t work, i think they made a change...
Molay  [author] 20 Oct, 2016 @ 11:42am
I don't have the game installed anymore, so there's no easy way for me to update it. It should stilll be working, though, even if it tells you to be outdated. I can't imagine they made any changes that broke the mod.
ShadyBhaz 20 Oct, 2016 @ 11:41am
New update of the game is up. Would you kindly be updating this magnificent mod of yours anytime soon mate? I'm a big fan of this particular mod of yours. :mug::squirtyay:

This mod is great and a good step towards removing "cheating" bonuses given to the AI... I dont mind the AI getting a few campaign bonuses like reduced unit upkeep or something but inherent leadership and ROF bonuses in battle make for a mismatched game (IMO)

I too was hoping to find a mod that removed the ROF bonus to AI and found what EyeRuvDumprings was saying on May 31 @ 1:47am interesting that there seems to be no table to mod this setting.

My question is; if we cant remove the ROF bonus all together.. Would it be possible to give the AI a ROF debuff to effectively cancel out the inherent buff they receive?
Osium 4 Jun, 2016 @ 4:49pm
I'm pretty sure it gets a ROF buff on every difficulty, scaling with the difficulty. In Attila and Rome 2 VHard (Legendary uses the same battle difficulties as VHard but also turns on battle realism or whatever it's called) it was almost 50% ROF on Vhard. It seems less on this but still noticable.

You've always got the option to play VHard with normal battle difficulty.
PoohPus 4 Jun, 2016 @ 3:27pm
But I can confirm that there is a -4 public order penalty on hard. :steamhappy:
PoohPus 4 Jun, 2016 @ 3:26pm
I actually ment the battle buffs, like increased ROF etc.. :steammocking:
Molay  [author] 4 Jun, 2016 @ 3:25pm
@Drax : All difficulties except for normal have changes to morale. I don't recall the exact changes on hard, but either the player had a penalty or the AI had a buff.
PoohPus 4 Jun, 2016 @ 3:24pm
@Eye do you know if the AI has such advantages on hard difficulta aswell, or if they only start on VH?
Osium 31 May, 2016 @ 1:04pm
I have no idea. I know that there are references to battle difficulty and accuracy, but I was looking at that in 2013 with Rome 2 and I forget where it is. However, I've never found the rate of fire one. I didn't know about it in Shogun 2. The first time I realized it was there, was playing as a steppe faction in Rome 2. Full HA vs full HA stack same units, and the AI massacred me. I could'nt figure out why. I replayed the battle several times until I noticed they were freaking machine guns compared to me. Then I ran test battles in the custom battle and yep, rate of fire is much higher.

Then everything started making sense. Naval battles? They AI ships are machineguns compared to yours. Then I booted up Shogun 2 and sure enough, legendary difficulty the AI shoots faster there too ;p

It might be somewhere, buried, but short of looking through every single field in every file, it doesn't seem to be where it should be.
Molay  [author] 31 May, 2016 @ 8:43am
@EyeRuvDumprings : Interesting indeed. It's certainly an odd choice to not make it accessible for modding, as they do with pretty much everything else. I wonder what the reasoning behind this might be...
Osium 31 May, 2016 @ 1:47am
You doubt it? Go load a custom battle up, 1 general, 1 ranged unit, mirror the other side. Now watch as the AI archer shoots 20% faster, and volley for volley does more damage.

Then do the same in Attila. Then do the same in Rome 2. Then do the same in Shogun 2.

That has been one of the advantages of higher difficulty since at least Shogun 2. It is well documented, but looks as though it is hard coded. I've modded extensively myself and I've never found the table either.

That doesn't mean it isn't there. It is 100% giving the AI ROF bonuses, and almost certainly accuracy bonuses as well.
Molay  [author] 30 May, 2016 @ 10:43pm
@EyeRuvDumprings if there is, it's well hidden in some obscure table not following any normal naming conventions... I doubt there are such bonuses.
Osium 30 May, 2016 @ 9:09pm
There are more bonuses for the AI on the higher difficulties as well.

There is at least a 15-20% rate of fire increase on very hard, there may also be an accuracy boost (I'm pretty sure there is)
Feaurie V 30 May, 2016 @ 7:09pm
@Molay its alright, was just a bit salty yesterday because of work, sorry! XP
@CHEEEN Yeah its bullshit. Its actually +10 Morale to AI, -5 to the Player, which is even worse.
CHEEEN 30 May, 2016 @ 3:09pm
this is a great mod, finally i can fight the doomstacks AND rout them. so much more fun then the ca's bullshit +15 morale on very hard.
Molay  [author] 30 May, 2016 @ 8:18am
@Feaurie V : I didn't find yours, hence why I made this one. No rip-off intended, thought I was the first; although there are just 8 edits to make in a table anyway :)

@Grandmaster B : Not that I know of, going by table which sets difficulty modifiers, there is no such thing.
Saint Cronch 30 May, 2016 @ 12:54am
Isn't there hidden buffs like in previous TW games? For like attack and defence?
Feaurie V 29 May, 2016 @ 11:11pm
I already created this mod, but yours is more well received so cool.
Molay  [author] 29 May, 2016 @ 3:27pm
Vaeringjar : Frankly so far all we got are rumors and speculation that very hard AI is different. So this mod makes sure you get the better AI, if there is such a thing, while removing the bonuses as would be the case on normal battle difficulty, which is what you'd pick if wanted the bonuses gone. I wish we got confirmation on it; it may turn out that playing on normal battle difficulty is just the same, but until we know... better safe than sorry, or something like that :)
Vaeringjar 29 May, 2016 @ 3:07pm
how different is the very hard AI?
