for some reason it wont work for me but have i alot of mods maybe placeing it at the topp of my load order

Doing 2-handed playthrough, had mod on that made dawnbreaker, etc. 2-H. Start dual-wield playthrough, get rueful axe, like enchantment, disenchant to use on 1-H, realize some good 1-H are now 2-H, deactivate mod, lose enchantment, freak out, console command in rueful axe, shitty enchanment, freak out more. read a little, calm down, subscribe to this one. great mods dude.

I wouldn't mind a version that increases damage but is still slow and without the enchantment.

It would be, give Dawnbreaker a permanent 'Stendarr's aura' effect when wielded to make it more of an undead killer. But make it so said aura also damages the player if he's a vampire : I mean, Meridia hates the undead, so why would she allow a vampire to wield her artifact?
Also, maybe make it so it benefits from a smithing perk - Dawnbreaker is a unique sword, but not being able to improve it means it does pathetic damage.

I think the Rueful Axe is intended to be a let down. Clavicus Vile always tricks his worshipers and/or people who assist him.
