Sometimes after being revived, my camera is permanently broken and I can't do anything. Anyone seen this/found a fix?

its a really nice mission the only down side is that somtimes i died 3 times in the same second if a team member is helping me then im not abel to move anymore so the only option then is to abort the mission is it posible to fix that please ?

don't know how active people are with this thread, but does anyone know how to modify mission parameters to enable/disable player stamina? any help or if putting me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

Looks like you misunderstood what I wanted to say. I am not talking about the Escaped shipped by BI but about my original mission which this workshop object is a fork of (and which was developed much further in the meantime).
With my "2. Spawn are random (not handplaced)." I wanted to reply to "if you have spawns on islands you should at least place a boat " from Dog Udders. I meant "I can't place boats to every spawn, as spawns are random".
So to be clear in the official version of co10 Escape (the one linked above in the description) the spawns are still random AND boats are distributed across the island (in a random fasion).

-Capt Star, why would one prefer hand-placed spawns that are the same every time rather than random, which provide a new experience every time? I find the Bohemian version of Escape Tanoa to be almost no different than playing most regular missions (you start off fully equipped, the enemy is way too overpowering, and there's no sense of sneaking around -- just a march to the next battle). The version on this page is far more engaging.
-Dog Udders, some small islands do have jet skis, but if not (and you don't want to swim), just restart the mission. Takes like 5 minutes to beak out of prison again.

1. This is a really outdated (and unofficial/modded) version of escape.
2. Spawn are random (not handplaced).
3. In the official version you find boats at piers.

Would you ever consider making a Single Player version in the Scenarios menu? This would allow us who play alone a couple hours at a time to save along the way. Love it so far though!

@Parks There is a Revive and that is a crucial part of the gameplay of this mission. What do you need a respawn for? Run and gun against the enemy, without consequences?

Look up Neo Armageddon and Scruffy, you can get what you need, plus it's a more recent update, and you can get versions with mods added like CUP or RHS if you want.

Excellent mission, thanks for it !

We've spent some hours trying to escape and while we finally managed to hijack the comm', call for the evac and join the LZ, we saw the 2 Huron hit each other, 1 crashing and the other trying to land rotating on itself.. Once inside, it took off but crashed 30secs later...
Mission failed... :(

Other problems : tons of error message in server's log showing some bugs in some functions and scripts (from what I can remember) : SearchLeader, line 268 something with the denominator parameter (defined to be 1 if isnil just above the error line), and function PopulationLocation, line 60, "seargent" and elsewhere "lieutnant" seem undefined.
Lots of errors concerning units spawning without magazines too.

Look up Neo Armageddon and Scruffy's page on the bohemia forums, they've got this at 1.9 version now, and it comes with flavours of many mods like RHS, CUP, IFA

If you get your hands on a version of ACE without the medical systems (it's pretty easy to copy/paste it and do it yourself), then it works just fine

The simple "just get far away from the island and win" as the BI Escape has was not added to this Escape because it is way to easy and also unrealistic. You don't steal a small boat and cross the atlantic/pacific/mediterranean sea when you can simply be picked up.

In my Ecape branch there is also a note in die briefing about heavy enemy anti air, and air to ground patrols at the border, so the players have a reason to wait for coordinated extraction.

The idea is you want to get picked up by NATO helicopters, so they can take you back to HQ. You could technically do that without a map, but good luck finding the LZ once you radio for the pickup.
Also if you look up Neo Armageddon and Scruffy's escape missions on the BI forums (and I think they released on the Workshop too) you can get a more updated version of this.

Strange question but do you NEED a map to escape?

i say this because i have found a boat (not a jetski but a power boat) with full fuel and i went out into open water and nothing happened I figured hell if this was real i'd probably count this as a win.

You go to Neo Armageddon and Scruffy's Bohemia Interactive forum post (easily findable by Googling their names), find and download the complete pack, then *extract* everything in there (or go through only selecting and extracting the maps you want) in to:
steam>steamapps>common>Arma 3>MPMissions
(make sure it's "MPMissions" and NOT "Missions")

Once you do that, they should show up when you host a server. That's how I did it anyway.

Hey NeoArmageddon, (or anyone else), how do i play this mod on other maps? i tried following the instructions on the download page but it didnt work. is it possible to get another set of instructions or something? all me and my friends really play is this mission and would like to play it on other maps

@MacKaris - I have had that happen many time with this particular mission, this version does not get updates, if this happens again to you got find another comms box to hack and call in a new ecav.

I would be nice if the evac helos actually worked. I have now twice been in a situation where I have played the mission with friends for 3-4 hours, only to see the evac helos make a complete mess of things and failing the mission because of that. Either the two helos fly into each other so they both explode, or they land and immediately take off again and never come back, or some other strange stuff. And once they've been destroyed or they've flown away without you, that's it. They can't be recalled, there's no plan B and no other way complete the mission. It's a bit of a let down, so say the least. Although we have been using the Vcom AI mod for the last few games, I'm not sure if that's messing with the helo AI then or something?

Hey PhillipV, glad you have fun. The difficulty level and the challenge is exactly what this mission is about. It is hard, but not impossible and most of the time it is a fair combat. My squad fails most of the time aswell, but that is what keeps us playing this mission every evening. I collected some statistics and the success rate of 1530 tracked missions was 8%.

This is basically impossible to finish if you are only 2 players. You get bombed by drones and jets you almost feel like your in Iraq during obamas presidency. Not to mention the mortar sites that engage at you as well from hundreds of meters away. You spend half of the game just trying to find a map before getting killed by the endless 3 man squads that just keep surrounding you no matter how far you run. Like seriously. You CAN NOT spend even 5min at one location before getting either blown up or surrounded my ridicules amounts of troops. Even worse is when you are at the mercy of APC or T-100 tanks that basically take more than 6 RPG rockets to destroy while finding those kind of explosives is a challenge on its self. I have only gotten once to the point of having to clear out an airfield for the evac zone but the attack boat that was miles away didnt seem to like that very much. This map is VERY hard to say the least, yet it is still fun in a way.

Is tthere other versions of this mission for other official maps? It's pretty good with the enemy scaling and I would love to be able to play with my friends who do not have Tanoa. Unfortunately the missions from Neo do not work locally.
