robmerlo 10 Jun, 2023 @ 9:04pm
done but you had me thinking doing the drop off stopped with my engines clear of the points to siding 3 cut of twice got an X said ok pull up to where the cut off portion of the train is clear of the points all ok as i said before you make a tired old brain think and plan ahead

LOL, thanks, I use to hide Easter eggs in the world, still do sometimes. I do remember the brakes being fun on this route.

Also RB i have no qualms if you kiss Mooses, beavers or humans.. just keep working your magic with these scenarios as usual... :steamhappy:
vivant123 8 Oct, 2020 @ 10:45pm
Also i see a lot of planes down in the valley.. hope the passengers are fine... one would think to be careful around these mountains... :steammocking:

Done!!!.. even i was having the issue of getting a "cross" when i was uncoupling the empties at Illeceawat.. followed the advice of John below and was successful. it was easy managing the brakes while reversing back..just was using the loco brakes and if i thought it wd get out of control then would get the train brakes to work.. nice scenario.. :-)

Hmm, i wonder if there were duplicate wagon numbers somewhere.
chris5012 31 Jul, 2018 @ 2:33pm
Hi RB That was a very good scenario although I had a problem on Siding 2. I dropped off wagon 238985 as per instructions but received a cross instead of a tick. I tried again but with the same result. I had no problem and got a tick for dropping off the two container flats on siding 3 and got a tick for reconnecting to 238985 on siding 2.

HA HA, Thanks David. I think the cow is there for support. :)
david.angus1977 16 Sep, 2017 @ 3:43pm
Many thanks, RB, for this next instalment. All ran fine for me and I had no problems with the drop-offs and re-pick-up. The precious cow (is she a pet??) was looking in better shape at Flat Creek than at the start! I think we're needing some moooing sound effects!! Great drive so far! Cheers! David.

Cool, thanks Rammy.

Very nice bit of Shunting had no problems. Thanks.

Cool, glad it worked for you John. :)

Hi, sorry for the delay in answering. Just had a 4day away from home break. OK retried several times to-night and finally got the "tick" on dropping of the consist on siding 2. Method used was just before entering siding 2. Applying hand brakes to the two container flats, as before, whilst maintaing forward speed of approx 12MPH. Then reducing throttle to allow speed to drop to 2-3 MPH as (F1) arrow came onto the first container wagon. Then with button [2] view focused on the gap between the container and the empty container flat and the coupling icon apparant, left clicked and decoupled. This time I recieved a tick. Not too sure if success was due to the rolling break or the timing of the break, i.e , waiting for the F1 arrow to actually cross onto the conytainer wagon. But now I know it's achievable, will experiment further at some later date. Thanks for your responses.

Hey john, I just ran it and had no problems. Are you dropping BOTH empty container cars on siding 3? do you try to "split" them? the hill is a little tough. I set my loco brake to around 12% and just took my time, plus when I dropped the consist on siding 2 the train did roll back and re-couple but I just kept moving slow and used the "couple" HUD view and just un-coupled, then dropped the 2 empties on siding 3, i set the handbrakes on those 2 before dropping, I kept my loco brake set at 12% and slowly moved forward, re-coupled on siding 2 and took off.
john 8 Jun, 2017 @ 5:32pm
Already tried that. As a means of making different methods of de-coupling, without going back to the start.of the scenario at each attempt. Guess I'll just skip this one, thanks for responding.
RBJets  [author] 8 Jun, 2017 @ 12:44pm
I cant remember the entire scenario how it goes so its hard to say. I can run it later...but just try saving then re-loading it from before that point. sometimes just a re-load will solve it, it has for me on many issues.
john 8 Jun, 2017 @ 10:08am
Cannot split the consist at the two empty container flats and get a tick mark. Tried applying brakes to the last two vehicles on the remaining consist and then decoupling. But get a "x". Tried a rolling decouple, i.e 2MPH with the brakes as before, still get a "X". All this at 0.02 or less, so asking how is it done?
RBJets  [author] 15 Mar, 2017 @ 4:48am
:) Thanks.

Yes it's a cool route, the decline gets tough later on but then evens out later. Thanks.
Tsitsho (fox) 22 Jan, 2017 @ 10:55am
I didn't realize you also did Revelstoke. Great job!
RBJets  [author] 27 Dec, 2016 @ 3:41pm

Another fun and challenging scenario. Enjoyed it. Thanks
RBJets  [author] 4 Oct, 2016 @ 12:10pm
Surfliner is a cool route. I dont know how many scenarios it will take to reach LA. plus part 1 starts in the middle of the route, that means we'll have to tackle the southern part in the future. JOY!
shaa99 4 Oct, 2016 @ 10:57am
Nice set of scenarios again. Off to the Surfliner next.
RBJets  [author] 28 Sep, 2016 @ 1:17pm

I am in the middle of the 2nd yard work, Life and work seems to getin the way! I will give the first one a go as I have a fair few downloads and see how I get on.
Regards, Keith.
RBJets  [author] 10 Aug, 2016 @ 12:28pm
I just re-did "Leaving Barstow - Part 5" yesterday. FIXED!!...make sure you start with "Yard Work (Barstow)" BUTT it has TONS of DLC in it...it was one of the first scenarios i made..so you can just go to "Leaving Barstow - Part 1" BUTT i did make a 2nd Yard Work for the Barstow yard with almost no DLC added but it doesn't lead into the "Leaving Barstow" series like the first Yard Work does. Get all that? LOL
keith.stroud.52 10 Aug, 2016 @ 9:34am
Never mind, there are still plenty of yours I still have to do, off to Barstow next I think.
Regards, Keith.
RBJets  [author] 10 Aug, 2016 @ 9:14am
Thanks so much Keith. Still waiting to be able to upload scenarios... :(
keith.stroud.52 10 Aug, 2016 @ 9:07am

RBJets  [author] 7 Aug, 2016 @ 9:26am
Thanks saska1946. yea he was just resting. (mooooo)
saska1946 7 Aug, 2016 @ 12:10am
nice scenario, good to see the cow up and about at Flat Creek thought it was either dead by being hit by a passing train or just snoozing at the start of part 3, will part 4 be coming, love your work.
RBJets  [author] 14 Jun, 2016 @ 2:53pm
Yes very slope-ie.
NJRick 14 Jun, 2016 @ 1:21pm
Wow, another tricky drop off. This time at Illecillewaet. Say that fast 10 times.
