i keep crashing and vitaberry is mentioned at the top, gonna try removing it and see if the crash continues. It happens whenever i press escape btw

So far that rework seems to work well, thank you lots! I hadn't realized there was a different version on the Workshop :) It does seem to take a little bit longer to load, but that's fine as long as it prevents the crashing! Thanks!! :slimehappy:

Unfortunately, it seems that there's an issue with this mod because of Genesis 2 / ARK updates since this was last updated. I love Vitaberry as it's my favorite way to configure cheap & easy healing for players and dinos alike, I just don't enjoy crashing 2-3 times in one short gaming session :/

I believe it may be fixed by a reupload of the mod (essentially after recreating the mod in the devkit). Here is a link to my most recent crash dump. [pastebin.com] If there was a reliable way to cause the crash (or prevent it), I'll be sure to share, but it seems to happen both randomly during gameplay (even when not interacting with Vitaberries) and when on the loading screen for a map.

Unfortunately, it seems that until this mod gets an update, I'll have to run without it as I'm crashing multiple times a day while using it, and getting no crashes without it - I'll have to use an alternative mod until then. ^^

Thanks, appreciate the reply. Even with the crashes I'm having (maybe it's because I have a lot of mods, lol) this is definitely one of my favorite mods - I'll definitely keep it around.

Also, if you could upload a version which changes the weight per-berry to 0.01 (to match with a 90% reduction for other berries to go with a weight reduction mod), that'd be amazing! Thanks again though!

One more question, is there any better way to adjust the rarity of these berries to make them more/less frequent without simply adjusting the harvest multiplier? It seems to make berries a little *too* rare, at least at low values. Even setting it to 0.8 makes them about twice as rare from what I've seen.

Oh. And no. There is no way to change the weight with options in a good working way. This is something only the ark devs can provide. Like they did whith stack sizes.

I don't know why this happens from time to time. Items are more unstable then actors (like buffs or dinos) when making complex changes to them.

But this error isn't happening very often for me. Don't know why it is so often on your end.

New comment to update since my last, I really enjoy this mod as it's almost one-of-a-kind for configurability, but I've been crashing a lot especially when leaving one ARK and loading into another (eg. main menu from Extinction, load into The Island).

About 80% of the time, loading into a new ARK after the first crashes the game - due to this mod. If it doesn't occur the first time I switch, it seems to always happen the second time. I keep getting this error:

Would love to know if this can be fixed, it's the only issue I've had with this mod - it works wonderfully in game, it's just a nuisance to keep crashing as I play on multiple ARKs :(

Great mod, is there a way to change the weight of the berries in the config files? These berries are about 10x heavier than other berries w/ a stack size + weight adjustment mod. It'd be helpful to adjust their weight with Game.ini if that's possible, or possibly modify the weight attribute (to make them rarer / hard to find).

Also, confirmed working from bushes on Extinction, in the Sanctuary area, but not in the Wasteland bushes.

this mod seems to cause crashes when transfering or downloading dinos via obelisk to another map on SP.

With the last update you should now be able to use auto-consume. Have a look at the ini options to enable this feature.

I have to correct my previous answer. There is another option, I can use in the item. It is not named something like "auto consume" but "auto healing". SO yes, you are right. It is possible :-)

I just looked again into the devkit. Official auto-consume is definitely done on dino side. Your mod example has either implemented something similar to auto-consume which the author created her-/himself or is modifying the dinos on the fly, when they have the item in their inventory.

If I remember right, automatic eating is done on dino side. This means would have to modify every dino for this, wich won't do. Sorry.

I just tested the value 1.0 and continues to recover 0.5 percent of life per fruit, apparently it is buggy.

Does the system only recognize these two options?

0.005 = 0.5%
1.0 = 100%

When testing on my server the percentage remained at the standard 0.5 percent per fruit

Man I already tried to change the value in percentage of increased life by the ini but no configuration changes the value within the game, always gaining 0.5% of life per fruit, I tried for the following values and nothing worked: 0.005, 0.05, 0.5 , 0.0050, 50.005 could help me increase the additional life per fruit?

It's working on Genesis. No need to adjust anything. As far as I know. At least on Ocean and Bog Area I was already able to get Vitaberries.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to make two mods changing bushes coexist. One mod will override the other. You have to play with your mod orders.

@McBane Seems my bf and I are having a problem on our private server with Vitaberry 5000 not working. We dont get any berries or seeds and the rates are very high. We are on the Ragnarok Map. But I also seen on the 200 version that sometimes a mod that also changes the bushes might overide the mod. We have the steam punk mod. Is it as easy as changing which loads first?

@David Blaine, @VanDuivel: Please try newest Update. If you use any Options, please check if they still work. I had to remove all timers (only on SP) which are waiting for them, because SP seems to have issues with timers and delay.

there are still game freezes...when a vitaberry spoils or i move any form dino to my own inventory...my game freeze/lag any secounds...

Possibly happens, because the items tries to check if you are an iguanodon. And if yes, adds the seed option for vitaberries to it on the fly. Myself I didn't experienced such issue. But maybe your client or server isn't very powerful?

don´t know why but when i load/start a game and harvest a bush and a vitaberry or seed is harvested the game lags/freezes for some seconds all berrys/seeds harvested after the first lag/freeze don´t cause any lag/freeze.

if this will help, it First started to happen when I used Vitaberry seed in a farming plot. so I think the problem could be coming from the seed not the vitaberry it self. it also seems to happen just randomly, especially when using fast mounts such as Managmar. maybe it's caused by world tiles buffer graphical setting, loading bushes that have vitaberry first before the actual map ?
I even tried switching Arks with Vitaberry uploaded into the Obelisk and downloading it from the other maps. it doesn't seem to cause any crashes, so Map travels is not a cause I am aware of yet.

I think I found a fix though, ( STILL TESTING ) but apparently placing the mod on the bottom of the mods order doesn't cause the crash to happen.
