Would it be possible to make a version on this mod with shields? If not could you point me in the right direction to add them myself? I have tried just adding shields and changing the animation to shield and spear, but its all messed up. Thanks!

@Guvenoren Tier 1 i believe. make it same as the vanilla halberdiers and that should set it

@Kungfucius apparently the halberds had been set to a different tier, making the bonus not affect it. This has been fixed

The general skills that offers bonus melee defense to halberd wielding units is not affecting the royal halberdiers, causing them to be weaker than normal shielded halberdiers in later games.

@Guvenoren There may be a way to have them one hand a halberd, but I dont have the skills or the knowledge..but I agree shielded halberds would be a good mid tier unit that could go late game because of that said shield

What's the attack interval on these guys? 5.5 like regular halberdiers or is it normalised to 3.8? Also, any chance of some mid-tier shielded spearmen? :)

Hey fella, just fyi, the name and unit description shows up blank in-game. In pfm the text->db entries show "master_sword" rather than "royal_halberd". I changed them to check and it seems to fix it. Good shit otherwise, thanks!

@Albert I consider them a end tier version of the halberds, so I wanted to keep them as such.
@Chance Vought statwise, they are only a few points better than the halberdiers, so 100~120 should be ok
