Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say, lol. It still uses the default placement for animations, so the bones default to that, that's why it gets stretched.

@Baby Luigi The proportion trick only applies to the third-person world model. Trying to apply it to viewmodels gives awful-looking results. The only way to really fix this is to rig the viewmodel hands manually, like the way I've done for my own add-ons that make use of it.
@MLG PizzaRoll On that note, this was done fairly well regardless, just gotta get the viewmodels down.

Actually, I think I know the problem to your model: I don't think the QCI proportion trick applies to view model hands, only to the custom mesh, as it uses a different set of animations than what is described in the QCI file. It appears that your view model arms still use the normal character animations, hence why it appears all stretched and distorted.

I'll try placing this over the vanilla proportions of the survivor hands, see if it will look better that way. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me with a mod that uses the proportion trick with view model hands.
