I don't like this mod. Pawns use the practice range like a regular work station which is boring. Also, the need to assign colonists as hunters.

I haven't checked to see if it works in A17 or A18 yet, but the changes 15 > 16 were minimal.

Is it just me or the pawns won't actually shot their guns while using the shooting range?
I hope they do 'cause that would be so much cooler. Nice mod nonetheless.

Hi, im new to all of this. i have no prior pc experience to this game but i have watched a load of it on youtube so i knew i wanted this mod. however as mentioned before idk what im doing and i cant find any tutorials. how do i download and install this mod, im subscribed but idk what that means either. i would appreciate any and all help, sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

I can verify that this works perfectly in a16. Pawns still get shooting/melee skill from the work bills as well as joy and skill when they use them for joy. Just ignore the version mismatch warning.

Any chance you can put the A14 version up as well? A lot of people who run many mods together (me included obviously) are staying at A14 until all their mods are updated to A15.

I think this mod might conflict with Fluffy's Work Tab mod (and possibly Outfitter). I had to turn off PractiseTarget after some settlers became deadlocked (I tried turning off multiple mods and this one did the trick).

When I loaded my save my work priorities were messed up. A doctor who was incapable of hauling by trait started hauling things, and I had no real way to stop her as it is disabled in the work tab.

It reduces the range shooting skill with -3 points. Between the tick there may be 4-5 seconds. The biggest problem is, that this negative ticking will continue after deinstalling the mod and the structure. Is noone else have this issues?

I have the same issue as bane_Silver. The exp points ticking backwards if my colonist doing other stuff. And its only since i build this shooting range. I think it has nothing to do with the experience cap, like bearhiderug said.

I noticed that while my colonists trained at the shooting range, the exp points for shooting would tick down (slowly) and once the task was complete they would gain exp. Is this a bug or could it be one of the other mods I have installed are conflicting with your mod? All in all, thank you for making the mod!

Yeah, there is a easy way. Use Fluffy "Work Tab" Mod. In this Mod you can split your workskill in more detailed parts. In "Hunt" you can select hunt animals, train melee, train shooting independent from each other.

I don't know if it's from this mod but there is a lone target object without the range thing. It doesn't seem to do anything. Is that purely cosmetic or can pawns still use for joy purposes?

@Omega: What Reimer said would be pretty good, or you could use manual priority of tasks to set the melee at 4 while you need to hunt and then back to 1 when done hunting.

You could manually control your animal hunters by drafting them instead of using the Hunt order maybe?

Hey Itchy, with these working with bills attached to the hunt job, this makes it tough to train melee because you have to set them as hunters, which makes them go get hurt by melee attacking animals. Anyworkaround?

Have used a mod just like this in the past (maybe yours?)... I can't see right now cause ludeon.com is down. But anyway.. very nice and helpful for a better colony!
