Yes. I had to load up Alpha 16 and access the scenario there. Then i deleted most of the things in the scenario. I was only then able to open it in Alpha 17.

When updating to Alpha 17, did you come across the 'Cannot read data' message? I can't seem to find a work around when updating my own :/

I love this scenario a lot. After playing for over 10 hours, something is not that reasonable to me.
I've hired over 5 people. No idea why it is not limited to only 2 people maximum. I feel like the 100% chance for Staggeringly ugly and Creepy breathing is not that reasonable, because it always causes conflicts in the colony, and people always need to rest in hospital after beating each other, and not one left to work. However, cavarans would always fight with each other too.

I think maybe you just had a bad run of companions? So far i have had just 1 companion where they didnt get along. Although, when a 3rd one joined he was usually hated. Hopefully we can get some more feedback on the frequency from others.

The problem with the % thing is that it doesnt work as intended. I can set it to 1% and you will still roll it 99% of the time. It's been about 2 weeks since i tested it so i dunno if it has been fixed. If it gets fixed i will probably lower the % some.

You're probably right on the steel slags. I may add em.

I also added some steel slag chunks scaterred randomly for a more Fallout-style world. It also help when building a lot of hydroponics

With the 100% chance to have Creepy breathing & Staggeringly ugly my original colonist always hate my #2 (It's like -80 for relationship). It's akward for two lonely survivors to have constant social fights (and boring). Maybe you should have a 80% for Creepy breathing and 50% for Staggeringly ugly ?

@kiarrn Yea this is a major ucontrollable risk if you play with just one guy. I think it's a good idea to get one companion so you can heal each other.

Enjoyed the scenario on an arctic huge map. My only gripe with solo games like this.. Is getting sick. Feels like it completely FUBARs the run.

@crazyroosterman I felt the event (where you can save someone who is running from pirates) fit the scenario and its intended to help you out. what i tend to do is match the new guy up with my #2 and keep which i feel is better. then let the other one die off in some way.
@rustythered steam pulls the image from your rimworld folder so rename your intended image and put it there. mind you, i believe this will change the image on all your scenarios. you cant have a unique image per scenario.

UPDATE: Removed refugee pod crash... cuz... well.. it happens an awful lot in this scenario for some reason.

@AshbornK-9 Your work on the Project Fallout has added a lot of content! I would see great potential to have a properly scripted scenario in Scenario Editor, a fix to the EdB Prepare Carefully (to add your SPECIAL stats style) and your content. I will definitely try it out on my next save using Fixxxer's scenario and write back on your Ludeon forum thread. If I do have time, I will try also to get EdB Prep Carefully to work with it if I have spare time this week.

@T-rex i removed drop pods 2 days ago. After much playtesting I felt they had no business in this scenario. I havent had an issue yet with the Creepy/Ugly combo. But if i were to remove one, do you have any suggestions what, if anything, i should replace it with?

@quxzcover this is intended to be a hard scenario. With the recent update making events more common, it greatens the chance of you getting a companion.

@ quxzcover - with the new update, you can also get a second colonist more easily. As Fixxxer said, other colonist form other colonies is one. Another one would be buying a slave (which happens more frequently).
@ Fixxxer - I have to say that the colonist debuffs for Creepy breathing and Very Ugly are a hard hit on the joy and social interactions. My colonist frequently break/daze, etc...
As a general note, these drop pods are litterally cluettering the map. I would consider remving this event or trying to reduce its occurance. Its fun at first to get their stuff to trade with other tribes or colonies or to butcher their corpses for dog meat, but I must be at about 120 drop pods. Perhaps the update has fixed this and I'll come back to report on it at my next go with the beta of EdB - Prepare Carefully.

@t-rex: yea i meant for a 2nd pawn to be difficult. basically the only way that i can recall is if someone is fleeing from attack. Also, nice idea of using bait to get them to go away. I may try that.
@quzcover: You can make a hospital bed to help you heal faster. and you can rescue and treat crashed pod survivors or prisoners if you wish..
@Falcon: quill didnt have a monopoly on the idea. if you look at threads in forums/reddit it was one of the more anticipated scenarios before Alpha 14 came out.

@No I'm not on drugs, thank you - Yes quill18 tried and failled on the first time. I wish he would have kept playing with the toxic fallout but he only switched to a simple desert map. The idea of holding out a seige becomes very interesting - or placing some valuable items for them to change their mind and steal them instead of basing your power systems.

Hey everyone, just to let you know I wasnt able to get a "second" colonist triggered by random events. Perhaps about a year of gameplay passed around. Always ended up getting colonist arrive via drop pods, but they are "prisonners", so we cant recruit them...
And please, everyone, put Permadeath on...really makes this tougher and enjoyable! hahaha

I made mine a little harder, but it needs some tweaking since I only just managed to survive starvation and I didn't have enough wood for a butchering table (not even a steel one :P)

After enough playtesting, i switched it from a sloth to a dog. Sloths just eat too much food.
