It doesn't.
I've increased the size of Lavavoid to max-size, it should be updating for you now.
I ask because I've actualy ported (as prop model) around 75% of the Crisis City level from Sonic 06 (curently in PVT beta test) and your "lava void" map is the most obvious map recommendation that I may add in the description of the final version of my "prop stage" when I will release it, but sadly the whole stage-prop don't fit completely in your map.
So if your map was not at the max size allowed by Hammer, I would edit your map (for personal use).
I don't remember the name of the props, but they had 'mining' in them. Also I've sunk them halfway through the ground at the 3d skybox so only the top part was visible.
I forgot the name of the model, but it has 'swamp' in it and it's flat on the top.
That depends on what people need, since the texture selection appropriate for flat maps is kinda limited.
