I'm not very good at Counter-Strike, so while I can't say whether or not it plays well, I *can* say is that this is, without a doubt, my favourite modern interpretation of Half-Life's visual style and BMRF's architectural style. The guard towers, the design of the exterior walls, the coloured lines in the interior walls, the crates... it all brings back memories without ever being a straight up copy of any of them. Even the layout of the map seen from above is reminiscent of layouts from the HL1 quadrulogy.

Which brings me to my question:

Have you considered uploading the map to Garry's Mod's workshop? The game supports CS:GO maps as they are, and I can confirm this map works perfectly fine thanks to its age, so all you'd need to do is set up the addon page and make it clear that mounting CS:GO is required. I'd really love to be able to play on it with my friends in Sandbox and have more people know about the map. It's rare to see love letters to the older games such as this.

There is a server in West Europe which plays Forlorn. The server IP is: 37.59.30.83:27025

It is 20 slot and 128 tick rate.

Also in garage on these boxes and on the orange steel things, in ct on the balcony at the toxic starge sign. If this are bugs or glitches i dont know, I just tell you were a glitch could be. I will test soon if we can make the floating bomb on your map.

Also in middle at the yellow danger sign at these 2 white boxes, also on the opposite in the small corner and on top of these boxes, also in middle on the big white box. I dont know if you want that there can stuck bombs or not but on every box or similar thing the bomb could get stuck

On A spot where the red No Parking sign is, the bomb can get stuck on the pillar thing left and right, you cant get it without a 3 men boost

On the A spot, you can boost yourself from the airconditioning thing onto the ceiling were the green sign are. There is a little pixelwalk. You dont need to boost.

In garage you can walk an this orange steel things (dont know how to call it) which are holding the building.

And also on the A spot there is a little office at the side of the spot with a big window. You can boost onto the roof of the little office and see through. Then on the B spot you can boost onto the camera.

When you walk from CT spawn towards A, and go up catwalk, you can runboost onto this little thing above the A sign. I know there is a wall so you cant do this but you can runboost onto this thing which should prevent to boost onto this little roof over the A sign. The one which is right above the big A sign at the wall. Hope you understand were i mean :D

We only found one spot were you can runboost very easy. At the Catwalk you can runboost onto a little balcony.

the scale of this sucker feels massive! why can't t spawn just be garage and t side lower? I get it for timings, but two long routes leading to the same spot, seems strange. Sites look cool with the catwalks, and the wall bangs threw the thin metal will be real.:aofgold:

Looking great Will, I've been looking forward to this map coming out for ages, and to see a LambdA symbol just makes my day.

You mentioned that this base is abandoned - I think if we think long after the incidends of HL1 and OP, then it would also be nice to see a little HL2 graffiti/propoganda in places. Just a little bit, But I guess it depends if the evacuation was recent :)
