I will probably start look into modding again, when I have summer vacation and have some proper spare time, but am too busy, so not right now.

I wonder how modding would be like when warhammer 2 comes out? I hope that all the reskins can be used in the grand campaign map somehow in the future, that makes me a little worried if putting too much work into the texture now, might get ruined again by a patch or something, so thats why I am a bit relunctant to keep working on the mod.

But again waiting 2 more years for warhammer 3 to come out is a bit long time. So I truly wanna keep the mod updated while we wait.

I havent been working on my mod for a long time, due to real-life issues, but I still want to work on my mod. I havent been updated on the latest, in terms of textures and stuff, so unfortunately i cannot help you. Although i would not mind sharing my experience with textures if i figure out something.

awesome work on those face decals masterslay, i thought i was the only one that done this, im doing reskin mods of each of the chaos gods and im having isues with making a normal map for my new texures as it just makes everything shinny and occasional black line flickering in it....any tips? (im using gimp and ive only just started modding and using photoshop about a month ago)

I actually had been working "secretly" on a total reskin of all chaos units, and just when i was about to the release it, the latest ca updates messed up my mod totally again, so I have to figure out how to fix it. Its so tiring, it takes alot of my time and focus. Right now i am busy with my job, so I dont have the capacity to do anything about right now, but i really wish to work on it a hollyday or something. Just wished they would finish doing total war soon, but it seems there is 2 years until all expansions are released, which gives quite the opportunity to mess up my mod. But i will do my best to keep this alive :).

Just sad you couldnt see the mod i was working on, its freaking cool, it pains me abit it got messed up :(

Actually you can still use the mod, but there is some messed up textures on the chaos knights

I really want to be done with my mod soon, but I dont have much time, and i am feeling too tired to work on my mod at the moment, having to go to school and work everyday, I have no days off. And just feel like I wanna sleep when I get home.

I really really wanna be done with my black legion overhaul here this halloween.

But its hard to do a mod, staying focused, then having to interrupt because real life calls. I wished I could get a whole week off or something so i could continue my mod without interruption.

I love the gold black color, but i think the gold platings on the face just stick out way too much. if the helmets would just have no gold but the armor looks pure amazing with black gold!

yeah, thats what i plan to do later, where black legion is alot of gold and dark legion will be alot of black :P

The helmets should have one style for goodlooking. And they can be gold or black color.

umm. Well I have been planning for some time, that after i am done with my overhaul mod, I will probably make a dark legion overhaul later, where there wont be any gold plated head, and less bling bling overall, but for the black legion, its all about the bling bling and stuff, but anyway, what did you had in mind instead of gold plating on the face :)? Please share your idea

is it possible to make their helmets not have gold platings on the face? :D love the mod btw, just wished there was more color variation for pure black

hi uh, sry for the late answer, has been busy working on my black legion overhaul, so when its done i will make one no cape and with cape, until then be patient. I most likely wont be updating this mod anymore, as it gets replaced. PS. I tried to see if it clips, but i cannot the cape ever touches the horseback. But anyway i will make 2 versions.

Hi, can you make a mod that removes the capes from Chaos Knights only? Cause they keep clipping throught the horses' back. So annoying. =P

No no, I didn't mean to make them look like CSMs but i just meant I was going to name my lords and generals after important CSM characters.

I made sure that all norscan and varg use the old marauder models wearing those stupid looking helmets, so they look more like a unorganized rabble than an organized army, suits them well ^^

well, its true what i try to make in common with wh40k is the colour scheme with black and yellow, but i also try deviate a bit by adding red for some units, like the exalted hero. I had a few tries, and sometimes cannot decide whether to make him look black with red gold, so he look like batman beyound, or make him yellow gold and shiny to make him stand out. :P. Design decisions are tough.

Hmm. which characters are you reffering to with bloated arms? do you mean the sorcerers? I guess it looks weird, but I will see now what i can do with the ressources avaible. Well I agree, that i like mostly all characters armored and with helmet, which makes most sense in a time of war. Which is why i only use 1 chaos lord model, and not the helmetless lord or the one that look like a nurgle lord.

ahh. I understand now, what you meant when going "full black legion". Sry to dissapoint, i am not going to make them look like chaos space marines from wh40k ^^, i am merely using the "black legion" theme and name as an inspiration to make a darker textured and slightly alter colours here and there to suit my own taste and thought the name was suitable for this custom chaos warband or what you call it in the fantasy world, since i dont know much about the lore in warhammer fantasy :P. So this is not lore and not to copy wh40k, I just try to make them look less gray and boring. ^^

I actually can't wait for this to be finished. I'll totally name all of my Lords after CSM characters.
Archaon, Abaddon, Kharn and Ahriman sounds about right ^^

I have another idea: Would it be possible to remove the characters with the bloated ugly arms? In other words, make all characters fully armored and wearing helmets?
