So the when rent is due it triggers the output but what can we do with that?

could someone code this to make the tenants actually go to the player or to a wired area? instead of the deed itself?

So in theory, I could set up an "Overseer's Office" on the top floor of my residential bunker, then wire up all the colony panels to a single switch that, when activated, would make all my peons come up to see me and pay [s]tribute[/s] rent; as opposed to having to go around, room by room, and collecting it all by hand.

Is this correct?

Question, working on a space station room expansion with npc's both dungeon type and regular and was wondering if I can use your mod which would be required to get the benefits on mine to add terminals to special npc spawners. I would include links to your mod as well and list you as one of the contributers. I would require your mod plus have to use some of your code in my spawners that don't have terminals.

This mod is great. I was setting up to replace all my deeds, but upon loading up the server, discovered the deeds already had the terminals on and they work so didn't have to replace them. Whats the best place to put a deed for chances on a high tier drop?

Is it cool if I implement this in a mod? I have to overwrite the default deed scripts to get proper access to the rent and house detection systems, but I still want the wiring features because they're so useful.

When a colony deed is ready for rent, it triggers the wire. Is that supposed to happen?

@BBFz0r Actually, I was just testing this; it dosen't log errors for missing files when using .patch's ; it only logs anything when it finds the target file but cannot actually run the operations for some reason.

Also both you and @themrpiggy22 ; I got annoyed at my outpost and made https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=743653529 for myself today, I threw it up for the moment in case it would help you guys or anything.

@Weaver while that is true, that would cause an warning to be logged because of the missing file.

@tehmrpiggy2 if you want, feel free to add me and I'll explain what needs to be done, or even modify the code to be more compatible to your changes. If you don't mind, I would prefer if you created the Wire extension mod for you deeds since every time you add a new one, I would have to make changes on the Wire extension mod. And from an ownership perspective, it makes more since for you to maintain both.

I haven't only been looking into modding for two days since two years ago, but from what I understand, if BBF were to add .patch files corresponding to piggy's .object files, those .patches would be ignored if piggy's mod was not also loaded, therefore not impacting anyone running just one or the other mod.

I made it trigger when rent is ready, since I have a platform that is launched when any rent is ready. There are other ways to do what you want to do... just add some other logic controller to all the inputs in the colony deeds, and all of them will trigger simultaneously. When you click the colony deed the "Beacon" only happens if the NPC isn't already next to the deed.
If you really want to chain the colony deeds, and you have a compact design for each house, just use the doors as your chain, and wire them to the deed as well.

@BBFz0r Beacon is the state the colony deed goes when you click it (activating basicly), I ask cause making this a high instead of when the rent is ready would make it so u just need to connect the deeds in series, activate one and it would go into a chaining effect, when u activate one, it goes into beacon state, calls the tenant and he pays up, but when it went into beacon state it activated the next deed, which is going to activate the next on in line and so forth. The way it is right now is even preventing some deeds from actually getting into rent somehow, cause I haven't gotten a rent state from some deeds connected to another.

This works only for the vanilla colony deeds. To modify the themed colony deeds, I would need to create another mod, since not all use that mod.

@Grunkle Stan What do you mean by beacon? Also how can it be more work than usual, if all the original features are maintained?

I've been using this mod for about 2 hours and it's been useless to so far. May I ask why did you make it 1 when rent is ready instead of beacon. If it was 1 when beacon you would easily use a button to trigger all the deeds in line or trigger the first one and then start triggering in line. So far my results are that triggering the deeds is annoying and even more work than usual.
