I just swapped the VC and Carstein ui so if anyone else needs to fix it they can just do that. That red and gray ui you made is just too damn dope to leave behind. Good luck with WH2 and thx for the great mods bae.

Yeah, I entirely replicated the Vampire Counts skin within the Von Carstein one to remove any potential issues with that vanilla skin setting, just missed that one file it seems.

I think the problem comes from the "skin" and "ui skin" in the index I previously mentioned. It seems like where your mod creates a seperate ui for Carstein and for VC while the game only has one VC ui, this makes it not know what yours is and apparently the Empire ui is the default it goes to. I looked at your mod's skin list and it seems like it covers everything so I don't know where to add something to fix it.

Well there are several files for this visual conversion and I just seem to be missing one in that case.

The easiest way to see which files those are is to check the vanilla VC skin files in the data.pack.

@Crynsos I tracked down the problem to Carstein's entry under "#_themed_ui_compilation" since deleting this fixes the problem but also returns the UI to default VC. Interestingly enough, deleting Carstein's UI under skins makes it worse where all of his currency will default to gold instead of just being gold on the building management and technology screen.

It seems like somewhere in that UI file, Carstein's currency is set to the same as the Empire's and your skins file largely corrects this, just not entirely. Any idea where stuff like that is in the compilation folder since I took a look but it has quite a few values that I don't know.

Basiscally it is the same for both VC and Von Carsteins. Red and purple mix.

@Crynsos futher to the UI issue I mentioned in the Unlocker Mod. The UI elements that are VC purple are the event windows background (the screaming faces) and wherever that texture is (building/unit back grounds). The UI buttons and title bars are the correct colour.

It is hard to see the autoresolve balance bar with the Von Carstein UI. The colors should have a bigger contrast.

No, as they essentially get the default vanilla UI, which is kinda unique for them at this point, as no other faction uses it with this mod.

That skin has been always a bit subjective, but it still resembles their flag system rather well.

I'm assuming you are talking about the Custom Battle listing. As per the description, that is unavoidable as the data that enables these factions for Custom Battle is in the same table as several other things such as skin assignments and if I were not to add these changes to the table, I would cancel out the Custom Battle assignments of my Unlocker, which is not desirable either.

As for the Bretonnia buttons, the game does some weird stretching of many buttons that is hard to deal with, which is why you sometimes see results like this. I guess I'll have to think of some alternatives for them when I get around to it.

I did also intend to change the Empire skin a bit but again, no time for it so far.

Does this mod need to make a list of all the faction's from the game, I know they change color too, but does it have to make this list ? I do not even use the mod to unlock the faction. What makes it look rather not aesthetically.
Ps. In Breton during the fight when you press esc, the red color is supposed to occupy 60% of the lines, 40% blue? Because they are not equal. And when you finish the fight and load the game. The "continue" button is displayed. He is red, then blue, again red and a little blue. So it has to be ? How can i make a screen saver (This error appears in a few other places but I'm not sure).
Ps2. I think the color of the red empire is too bright. The better will be the original or what he has Breton.

Thank you for this, but when I tried it with Brettonia factions I didnt like the interface at all, half red half blue. But none the less, it is amazing for the other factions. :)

While the content of that mod is largely similar to mine, it only includes vanilla factions while mine is also optimized for unlocked factions.

This mod is now updated to include Norsca / Sarl (Wulfrik's Faction) and Wintertooth. I started working on a custom Norsca prior to the update but didn't get far until the update hit, so that will be released when I'm done updating my other stuff and have time to finish it.
For now they get the Chaos skin which Norsca always had with this mod.

Should work perfectly fine even without updates, you just don't get the skins applied to newly added factions.

Well the Von Carstein gray is not far off black anyways (especially the Black used for Chaos), so that should be fine.

I'm talking of the Von Carstein skin that you see at the first screenshot, together with a bright icy blue, so that'd be quite different from the saturated red and blue that Bretonnia has.
