I was looking at the Kestrel from FTL and this one and they look at lot different. The room layout is definitely different. However, I will say it is hard to convert FTL ships to Starbound, because they are different cutaways, even though they are both 2D games.

i just upgraded my ship to level 2 and my ship is broke XD i cant do anythin other than beam down to planet and back...there is no teleporter or cockpit in this ship at all x.x

I like it! Quick question though, is it using assets from the USS Gilgamesh? And if so, do you have permission to use them? I ask because their med bays look pretty much identical. Not trying to accuse you of anything, just curious.

Ok, so I have a problem. It's probably not coming from your mod, but I need to ask help to someome...

So, I tried to install this ship. I had the soma one before. So, I installed this mod, moved everything from my ship to a planet, and deleted my shipworld. Because I had Madtulip's mod installed and BYOS, I loaded up a new basic shuttle (I didn't actually wanted to do that, I just forgot those mods), and so I uninstalled those mods and deleted the shipworld. And now... it don't seem to load. Do you have any idea about what could be the cause of this and how to fix it ?

Found an interesting issue when using this mod alongside Racially Appropriate Ship Backgrounds: the cargo hold, tech station etc. turn back into their normal red Human variants and all the ship's platforms seem to disappear. Minor issue, obviously, aside from making it impossible to reach the tech station on a new character without admin mode.

I really like this ship, but I have a custom race mod that I want to use, but their default ship and the Soma Exploration Ship aren't really clicking with me. Is it possible to make this ship compatible with the Felin race mod? Including the custom Felin Captain's Chair, Ship locker, and the SAIL Station designed for the Felin? Thanks! :D

The ship uses its own USCM station, not a vanilla one. To switch it out you'd have to change the blockkey names to the proper station you want the color to represent in the ship layout images.

is it possible to make the compatible with the avian Ai mod? It adds a new AI station that has a different texture, and I for some reason can't remove your original ones and place that one there.

Thanks! But sorry, I really don't want to get into custom race support, but the changes required should be minimal enough that you should be able to swap images and rename the appropriate files to get it working. Feel free to unpack my mod and change/add anything you want.

This is a damn cool ship mod, I just really wish it worked for the Vulpes mod. Think you could make a custom version to support it? Maybe a version for the Advanced Logistics Frigate too?

@Megac I completely agree! Although that would be really cool, it would be a ton of work as well... The hammerhead style of the vanilla ship worked in my favor for me to fit it to a generic-Kestrel design, but if I (or someone) were to make all the FTL ships, we would be better off making custom ship hull images, which requires talent I don't have.

I do not know how to fix these problems, the mod simply replaces ship images and block layouts as needed. These issues are likely caused by other mods that manipulate the vanilla ships in ways that my mod can't account for without specific compatibility patches

Um, I have a problem with this mod. When I finished the game, It "Upgraded" my ship and now I can't even get back in there.

So I got the mod to work after upgrading the ship... and then my teleporter disappears... I'll be spawning a teleporter through admin mod but any idea what happened to the original ship teleporter? Also, the ship locker and AI console is kinda out of place.

Subscribing to a mod is for Steam to keep track of any updates and automatically download them for you, however there are no updates for this mod, so this isn't necessary. On the other hand, I think Steam will uninstall any mods you unsubscribed to, there's your answer. Personally, I just recommend using Starbound's mod folder, placing/editing anything you want (such as the USCMKestrelMed.pak) in there rather than through Steam.

I wonder why you haven't made a seperate workshop mod for the medbay variant. While the process of unpacking/packing mods isn't too complicated to do, I still have my reservations fiddling around with Starbound's main asset pack. I would rather unsubscribe to the mod when I feel like it - unless unsubscribing brings in other issues. So, what would happen if you unsubscribe to this mod?

@Pop_KilleD The entire ship is available from the start, but boosters and planet travel require upgrades as normal. I thought about making tiered versions, but to get the layout above, it just wouldn't work out.

Ohhh, ok then, that explains it. A bit odd but props for having your own consoles and stuff. Overall a pretty good ship mod though.

The SAIL replacers probably switch the human tech console to the new animations. The U.S.C.M Kestrel uses its own tech console, fuel hatch, doors, etc. You would need to modify the U.S.C.M tech console object in the mod, switching the images with the SAIL replacements as desired.

Ok, so I am getting this pretty weird issue. None of the SAIL replacers I use seem to work with this ship, but they work on all others. I am rather confused as to what could have possibly caused this issue and was wondering since it is your ship that is having this issue if you could help me figure it out. So far I have tried Takene Ene, Avian AI, and Ordis, all of them remain the default human AI when they should be switching around, but the dialogue carries over at least. This is all from having started up a new character just for this ship by the way.
