as of may 2025, this mod is NOT WORKING.

only mod enabled, game version 1.6.0. game crashes in first loading screen, before intro cinematics

@emcdunna How about you finish this mod and make it playable, and then move on to 3K, which by then will also have more patches and DLCs, instead of making the 3K mod now which you also might just leave in an outdated state once the next shiny TW comes out?

This mod is not updated and is not working. You can play it on Warhammer 2 under the name lorehammer 2.

not sure yet, depends on how much my scripts can help me (its a lot of work) plus i need to talk to jdharrow.

but i dont necessarily want all of the lords we did. I dont think you need wizard lord clones of heroes with my new mod which makes heroes a lot easier to get.

So the grand master i like, for example, but i dont think you need all those wizard lords.

yeah i just dont want to release it till all the crashes are worked out and i fix issues for each faction, like making sure that the grand sweeping things work for every race.

I also spent a lot of time building automation scripts which should help me in testing my mod faster to get it back online after updates, which otherwise is a massive pain in the ass.

I think that CA said that the patch/free dlc for combining WH1 and 2 will be released some weeks after the release of the second game :D

Some mods can be updated with zero work. Overhauls require almost complete restarts after every single patch. CA loves to change fundamental code/table layouts on us.

For unit mods or graphical mods it can be easy. For me, it's 20 - 30 hours of work.

I am busy with real life and currently my interests are in other areas of gaming. So i'd love to get this fixed soon but IDK if it'll get done before TW:WH2 comes out (which will probably bring another patch).

I know that he's probably busy in real life. The only thing i said is that i do not think that updating the mod needs a lot of work (most norsca units are very close to the chaos roster, no new mechanics except for the favour of the gods thing). As I understood his comment from 4 days ago he didn't check how much work needs to be done. As many modders updated their mods so fast i just gussed that to get it working again, its only a couple of things to adapt. If he finds out that its gonna take at least two weeks, fine :) I just wanted to encourage him to check what needs to be done to get the mod running again. I know emcdunna is quite the perfectionist, but with pretty much no new units, fine tuning could be done at a later date ;)

That´s the point!

EMC´s mods make most of the fun in our campaign, because he puts a whole bunch of works and effort in it. They may not seem so big, but he alters mostly the whole game. S give him some time, although maybe other modders don´t have much of a real life beside their mods.

Keep in mind they all are people an something could bother them, so their got more important to do than updating a mod immediatly.

All my other 44 mods work fine if I disable the 5 from lorehammer. Seeing as how fast so many modders managed to update theirs, i think it doesn't take a lot of work to do so :D I hope you can manage to fit in an update soon. They make up only 10% of my mods but are responsible for 50% of the fun ;) great work emcdunna

and that is exactly why I love your work.

improving a good game that lacks at some points, so it become a great game which is more unique than any other Total War :)

I mostly just try to "fix" what CA messed up with their games. I mean they do all this marketting around "unique" factions yet they actually arent that unique, especially in the battles... until I tweak them. Other times they make stuff stupid OP or scale in a dumb way (like how theres no reason to NOT take a full stack of greatswords in vanilla once you unlock it).

For the decay part it seems that Krell and Chaos Spawn of Morghur is still affected by it.

Yeah on hiatus at the moment, but tw:wh2 looks interesting.

Um I may have taken decay off. It seems silly that summoned units decay within the timespan of a battle.

I would prefer you get to summon when the army is full, but I don't know if CA put that in there as a way to prevent a crash from doing it when the army is at full strength, or something

Have the other mods which remove it experienced problems?
