So this mod, vs your other mod. This mod only affects ambush stance? What if they get caught in. East path stance does it go to beastpath map?

I love playing Beastmen and this gave me even more reason to love it, I can kinda understand why CA thought it might be too strong, but bumping up the difficulty can offset that, plus... the same battlefield for 50% of your battles is... dreadful, thank you so much for making this, I wouldn't have even thought it was possible tbh

That's unfortunate. I can see how that would happen too, because I'm outright overwriting the catchment override table to avoid Beastment battles redirecting to their specific battle maps. However, I'm unsure as to whether there's an effective workaround given my desire to wipe a row from the table. I'll give it some thought though, there might be another workaround.

Love the mod! Just wanted to warn you that this mod currently disables custom maps in the campaign (CA recently put this feature in recently in their map editor). For example, when I attack Karak Kadrin, I get the vanilla map instead of the True Siege of Karak Kadrin map (link).

It's super simple, they were kind enough to include the xml from which the bin is generated, so I knew what each raw string correlated to - so just changed the race override to a non-existence race, easy.
The bin part is legacy now that there's a proper table-based override system - however it still affects battle map selection from what my tests showed ;(

Could we get a version of this, but instead alters the battlefield for Wood Elf outposts? Regardless of the advantage it might give to an army, I've gotten pretty bored of them.

How are you editing the .bin file? If you're doing it through some form of Hex Editor dear god I have nothing but commends for you because that just sounds painful as all hell. If it isnt through some hex editor program such as HxD, can you share how you accessed the bin files? Currently the portraits are bugged for new custom units and the only way to fix it is through editing bin files and it literally seems like you're the only person who knows how to handle bin files in general

I've never actually managed to ambush an enemy army from Hidden Encampment stance, always just get a "Your Army Was Revealed" type message
The mod overwrites any land_ambush battle that occurs though, so I'd assume if it is possible to pop off an ambush from Hidden Encampment stance then it will give you a traditional ambush battle map

Not sure what you mean, sorry. If you mean in regards to striking an enemy army while they're using Underway or similar stance, those are specified as Subterannean Battles - so far I'm not sure if it's possible to change them to ambush battle maps, but I can't say I've looked at it in depth.

This mod won't disable the Beast Path maps when you manage to intercept a Beastmen force while they're using the Beast Paths travel stance, I suspect that's why you end up on the Beast Path battle maps when you're attacking them.

This mod doesnt seem to be working for me. Everytime i fight against the beastsman (didnt played as beastman in grand campaing yet), it takes me to the secret path ambush (or the like, not 100% sure) instead of a normal battle map.

Awesome, I never understood why the Beastmen doing the ambushing took place in "secret pathways known only to the beastmen". It makes sense if they get intercepted but if you're doing the ambushing it should be on a normal map.

yes, this is awesome. I never understood why whever you ambush an army, you would go to the beast-path maps. Even if you attacked an army on the plains of Kislev for example, you would suddenly find yourself in the Mega Woods for some crazy fucking reason
