I have a slow pc and skyrim lags for me. so does anyone know of a mod that would help my skyrim run smoothly?
Leo Star Dragon 1 20 Feb, 2014 @ 2:53pm
Hi, Martigen! An unexpected place to see a reply to my reply, but oh well. (By the way, I meant, "detected".) Thanks. Okay, so that explains then, why the game became faster, because I just undid a conflict I reckon. That's good to know. I had the patch installed too while I had your mod activated.
Martigen  [author] 20 Feb, 2014 @ 3:50am
That's ok, you don't need it anymore. One of the later official patches from Bethesda eventually fixed the core issue of Nirnroot glows. The other fixes are now a part of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, which I highly recommend. By highly recommend I mean no one should be playing without it -- it fixes well over 1000 issues with the game. Grab the Unofficial Skyrim Patch here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19

I must unsubscribe because this mod isn't being dectected anymore. Sorry.
Pichu 18 Sep, 2013 @ 8:20pm
I downloaded it because of the increasing amount of ash piles and ghastly remains in my game was ridiculous, to the point that I didn't want to reanimate a dead body or use shock spells anymore but now Skyrim is nice and clean again. Thank you Mart :)
Kitty Mauge 3 Jun, 2013 @ 5:03pm
It was a very good mod :3 Thank you for making it!!
Martigen  [author] 7 Oct, 2012 @ 5:19pm
Yes, but note as per my comment a few posts down you should now use the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, which includes an updated form of Mart's Skyrim DeBloatifier, along with a ton of of other excellent fixes. See http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19 to download it.

I was wondering if this would work with the 2 DLC for skyrim? Dawnguard and Hearthfire?
corrok7 20 Sep, 2012 @ 8:21pm
is this Mod compatible with Dawnguard downloadable content expansion and is this Mod compatible with the latest Skyrim patch author???, please reply today author.

Could you make random dropped items disappear? Currently, whenever I drop items they stay there, leading to a ridiculous number of pickaxes in mines on an earlier character, as well as the various bandit weapons on the floor where they died still being there when I next pass through.

I'm on a level 74 character, with a save game history (as of last week) of around 17 - 18 mb; for some reason, it is now blowing out to 60mb...just last night in 2 hours of gaming starting with a 17.5 meg savegame, it blew out to 49meg. I'm looking forward to seeing what this does, by all accounts it should do the job. Many thanks.

FYI -- this mod is now integrated into the Unofficial Skyrim Patch -- grab and use this instead (as it includes Savegame Debloatifier and a lot more): http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19

Hasnt helped my 120 hour character yet D=
epyon1985 18 Jul, 2012 @ 5:24pm
This mod seems to solve a problem roaming about. It's called bloated savegames. I'm not talking 15MB's here, try 120MB. The game freezes for a couple of seconds and then continues. I was experiencing the latter at save files of 23~24MB's. I found this mod and my saves were reduced to 11 or so MB's with no freezes. You may want to advertise this fact. Because it saved my 300+ hour game.

Thank you!

Stuballz, try the Unofficial Patch on the Workshop
[RQ] StuballZ 14 May, 2012 @ 4:31am
Any chance of getting a de-bloatifier that does more? Specifically, I want to get the pc version of the fix released for PS3. My current chars' saves are like 89 mb each. Think I collected tooo many books, but selling them hasn't helped :/
corrok7 22 Apr, 2012 @ 2:24pm
When is this Mod updated again on Steam???, please reply today.
Martigen  [author] 12 Mar, 2012 @ 5:09am
No worries Rico :)

Also, new version up with updated methods for removing savegame bloatification! (will be a little bit more efficient)
Rico the Penguin 11 Mar, 2012 @ 3:57pm
@martigen Neat :o. I got a reply from "the" martigen. I'll try the clear reinstall for it :D.
Martigen  [author] 7 Mar, 2012 @ 7:52am
@Rico -- Sounds the latest patch from Bethesda may have affected it... not sure why but try unsubscribing and resubscribing. If it persists I'll have to investigate. Failing that try the 'loose files' version on Nexus at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8216

@donotdisplay -- this may be an issue with with the way Skyrim interacts with savegames and script data. In order to remove previous nuclear-glowing Nirnroot glows, this mod must replace a vanilla script. Try unsubscribing, loading your game, going inside somewhere (your personal house is a good spot), waiting for 11 days (or whatever your cell respawn time is set to), saving, quit and then re-subscribe and see if that helps.

I may also try simply re-saving and re-uploading the mod since the 1.4 patch. Stranger things have happened.
Tiny Mushroom 5 Mar, 2012 @ 7:06am
Unfortunately this mod caused my game to crash consistently within 5 minutes of turning it on. Disabling the mod solved the problem immediately. Not sure why. Seems like a good mod though.
Lechuck's Beard 3 Mar, 2012 @ 9:47pm
I have to say that this mod is a godsend for people using tons of mods. no longer does my save file become so massive that it causes the game to slow down or crash due to having to remember each and every npc, item, dead body, moved object, arrow stuck in tree...you get the point. Just thought i'd throw that out there for the people saying it's a pointless mod.
Rico the Penguin 2 Mar, 2012 @ 6:35pm
Ooops...sent too soon. Basically the glow is back and won't go away now haha. I'll figure it out though, might be an ini revert or something.
Rico the Penguin 2 Mar, 2012 @ 6:35pm
Strangest thing, this was working till the latest patch O.o.
BLITSKRAGA 19 Feb, 2012 @ 2:38pm
why do those stupid weeds glow anyway? isn't the that annoying chime sound bad enough, Bethesda? and who actually bothers with the bloody things?! anyone?
GnarlyNerd 18 Feb, 2012 @ 1:01pm
Weird. I didn't nuclear nimroots until I installed this. What's up with that?
Martigen  [author] 11 Feb, 2012 @ 5:47am
Yes, it clears when you *exit* a cell, or optionally on cell reset, whatever the cell reset timer is set to.
Tony Gabagool 11 Feb, 2012 @ 12:40am
Is this compatible with the "Faster Cell Respawn" created by jalipetri?
Martigen  [author] 10 Feb, 2012 @ 1:21pm
Note there is a known issue where mods with .BSAs (basically, all mods on Steam Workshop right now) don't always override original vanilla files from the the Bethesda .BSAs. Bethsoft is aware of the issue.
If this mod doesn't appear to be working for you, this is why. In this case I recommend unsubscribing and downloading the loose-files version (as in, not using a .BSA archive) from Nexus at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=8216 . Simply extract to your Data directory, and enable the .esp plugin.
Xplosive 9 Feb, 2012 @ 2:53pm
what a pointless mod. arent u that guy that made more monsters for oblivion?
Martigen  [author] 9 Feb, 2012 @ 2:49am
Hey Beazel, I don't suppose you could send me your savegame to test with? Upload to a temporary file hosting site or similar and send me the link (either here, or on Bethsoft forums). In my testing removing current excess glows from a savegame worked fine, but perhaps I missed something and your savegame could help me debug it.
Neatcleaver 9 Feb, 2012 @ 2:07am
Subscribed, thanks. I was looking for this exact mod after I heard about it.
Axeface 9 Feb, 2012 @ 12:36am
Cheers Martigen!

Colonel Henry Passionfruit 7 Feb, 2012 @ 5:02pm
Milk and cookies kept you awake all night, huh?
=D Joe Mama 7 Feb, 2012 @ 4:39pm
Oh hey are you martigen from Mart's Monster Mod? If you are I'll download this :D But unpacking a bsa to get a readme is really inconvenient. Can you post the readme on pastebin or something please?
Martigen  [author] 7 Feb, 2012 @ 4:22pm
Until Steam Workshop's 'Long Description Field' comes online, you can find the README inside 'Mart's Savegame DeBloatifier.bsa' downloaded when you subscribe to this mod. To open/extract from a .BSA, use this tool: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1395
