Thanks. I appreciate your help. I wouldn't dream of messing with the outside appearance of the base I love it just the way it is. And, yes, I will be placing the solar panels outside of the base,

Angelspire hasn't been updated for a while, but no major changes should be needed.
-Storage containers are all the old stuff, limited, so if you want to add modular, I'd recommend installing them as floor replacements, under the constructors.
-There's not really a good spot to add solar panels, unless you use the "connect to base" feature and build a small addon for them. That's more to do with the exterior angles and design.
-I'm sure you can find space for a shield gen, but might need to rearrange the internal floor plan a bit. A fair amount of the interior is open space / deco, which is good looks and sub-optimal functionality.

Love the design. Thinking of putting it on a tundra planet just like is shown on the picture. What will I need update the blueprint? I am thinking adding a shield generator and perhaps solar capacitors. Is there room?

7.0 Update:
Some texture adjustments, to take advantage of new shiny surfaces. Still can't recapture that beautiful gold it had originally, but maybe someday...
Devices altered as follows:
-Fridges have been downgraded to T1.
-Repair Station has been removed.

This was done to remove 'exotic' and late-game ores from the material requirements, so that Angelspire can remain as a lvl10 / 'mid-game' base. I apologize for any inconvenience.

UPDATED! 6.6-compliant, all the good stuff, airtight and fully oxygenated.

She's still defenseless, as there simply isn't anywhere decent to place turrets, but that's easy to solve with the 'connect to base' feature in the build menu. I leave it to you homeowners to determine the best locations for firepower.

Looks gorgeous, but realized it's not an ideal first base with no turrets. But will definitely be Base #2 if I know I'm safe :)

@dawngael, I haven't updated this place since before 5.0 - it's not airtight and has no ventilation system. You'll have to replace the doors with 'solid' airtight versions and put O2 vents in for it to work with the 6.X survival changes.

Beautiful base. Spawned it tonight. Despite a full oxygen tank and oxygen turned on, I still got thte notice that there was no oxygen. Any ideas? It's too beautiful to give up unless I have to.

I don't remember exactly, since it was a few months ago - maybe two or three days on & off? The structure was easy, getting everything laid out correctly inside was the tough part.

So this is the one you were nixed about losing metallic gold textures. I can seriously see why.

That said, design wise this thing is... it's beautiful. Elegant layout and stunning, graceful architecture.

@EVERYONE: Just wanted to extend a big thank you (again) for the amazing response this has garnered from you guys. When I posted Angelspire back in September, I never imagined it would get much attention at all, let alone become one of the most popular BA's on the workshop. I am extremely grateful to you all. :)

Lighting bug has been fixed in the Experimental branch. I've tested Angelspire and found all lights do hold their correct values, so no BP update will be necessary. :) I did find a couple minor texture/color goofs, but since I regard the current paint scheme as temporary, I'll wait until a future texture or color update to worry about fixing those.

Goddammit I still want some proper metal textures!

Just making a note here, the KHV-2 Harvester linked above is finally updated to 4.0+ standards, with proper hover engines. While I don't think anyone was holding their breath with so many other great HVs out there already, it's functional if you do decide you want it :)

Okay, I went into god mode and flew up and that is when I discovered that it is a game flaw. Buildings simply cannot be placed on other structures. If I want the Angelspire there then I will have to literally build it from the ground up on the platform. You cannot spawn it in onto the platform. I wish I knew that before I collected all the resources and had the factory build the blueprint.

@LostManAbroad - If you are the admin of your server, temporarily switching to Godmode for flying might help. If not, maybe use an SV as a platform to stand on, and position it that way. This is something more to do with the way BPs are spawned than any flaw with the building itself, and I don't know what I could do to "fix" that particular problem, though I've encountered it myself as well.

I like the design but I have found one major difficulty with it. When I spawned it in in Creative it was fine. On my server in survival though I am having real difficulty. It says that Angelspire has an 18x18 base and I wanted it to look like it was coming out of the middle of a lake so I created an 18x18 concrete platform in the middle of a lake. The problem is that when you spawn it in your cursor holds the blueprint frame at such a high point that you have to look really high up in the air for the bottom of it to touch the base I have built but then I cannot see the base to line the blueprint frame up with it. Any suggestions?

I mean designs in General, all of your work looks awesome! I mainly love the Starhaven stuff, its my favourite of it all. My in game blueprint library conatins all of your stuff I could find. so yea, cant wait to see these new designs!

@masterofnations - My degree is in computer programming actually. I just happen to enjoy coming up with interesting architectural designs.

@Dark_Matter - You mean more Starhaven stuff, or more designs in general? For Starhaven, there's a new combat-CV on its way (big brother to the Seraphim). In general, I've been working on a "dark" BA in the same style (Shadowspire), and there's the Endurance bases: Lacuna , Anacrusis , and Terminus .

If you folks enjoy Angelspire, I encourage you to have a look at Terminus , my updated 4.2 survival base. In a number of ways, I consider it Angelspire's successor.

Ah, alright. ^_^; I was just afraid I'd missed some important gameplay point - but yes, you can set your med-chamber as home / respawn.
