With the new update, do these guys have salvation?
Bhelliom 21 Feb, 2017 @ 9:13am
Hey Haradrim I love your work on the TK units as well as these cool guys. I heard you MAY be considering creating a TK faction, looking forward to that or if you decide to give Neferata a castle in the mountains and call it Silver Pinnacle ;) who knows.

Anyway my question: Have you considered making these hireable by the southern humans? These would fit very nicely with Cataph´s Southlands mod, and ogres were in Dogs of War army rules back in the day.

@Haradrim I think you can fix your mods with this guy advice, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198306697989/myworkshopfiles/?appid=364360 .

Its about creating rigid models, it fixed many mods so I guess you can ask him...

It's no problem, man - please, take your time. New Years and the weeks after it are crazy for everybody
Haradrim  [author] 12 Jan, 2017 @ 2:00pm
Couldn't*
Haradrim  [author] 12 Jan, 2017 @ 1:59pm
@Zanuth that is correct and sorry for the inconvenience. I looked for a fix just after de dlc which broke the textures ,but could find a solution. I might be able to fix it, but currently I simply don't have time to search for it as it is a really busy period for me. When I have some more free time which should be mid February I will look into it immediately. (If it is possible to fix them that is, but I'll have do some more digging before I can conclude that)
Zanuth 12 Jan, 2017 @ 5:23am
Hey man, I'm not sure if anyone else has brought this up, but I've recently had an odd problem with my ogres - they have chaos dwarf beards and horns, and they're stuck in t-pose. Any advice you could give on how to fix the problem'd be wonderful
Finist 17 Dec, 2016 @ 1:57am
Oh, ok! Thanks for your work and good luck!
Haradrim  [author] 17 Dec, 2016 @ 1:37am
@Finist Thanks for the feedback. I currently have no idea what's causing this. It happened after the wood elves update. Most units who use wsmodels are affected, but the weird thing is that not all units are affected with the same way of texturing. I will try to fix this as soon as possible, if I can find what's causing it that is.

This mod is still working even if it has not been updated yet. So no worries folks, we can keep recruiting our brutish friends.
TermlnaL_ 11 Dec, 2016 @ 5:32am
Alright thx for info i can wait :)
Haradrim  [author] 11 Dec, 2016 @ 5:01am
Hi everyone, sorry for keeping you all waiting for the update. The reason that I don't have updated yet is because windows on my pc suddenly decided to stop working. I can fix it and am currently in the process of restoring my pc. So don't worry the mods will get updated and I will continue modding. Thank you for your understanding. Greets, Harad
TermlnaL_ 11 Dec, 2016 @ 12:36am

Spotty 17 Oct, 2016 @ 3:30pm
also you can make the slaves of the ogres for a meatshield unit
Shower Biscuit 17 Oct, 2016 @ 3:22pm
Or Maneaters.
Shower Biscuit 17 Oct, 2016 @ 3:19pm
Nice mod! Ironguts next maybe?
TrustThis 15 Oct, 2016 @ 3:33pm
Would love to know with what mods this and leadbelchers crash as I would love to use these in Imperial campaign.
SherlockHolmless 15 Oct, 2016 @ 3:15pm
fuck. yes.
chubbyninja89 (TNB) 15 Oct, 2016 @ 6:15am
You need to make an Ogre Irongut Unit. It'd be simple, just a two-handed version with some armor.
Ologhai 14 Oct, 2016 @ 11:31pm
About look: dont know if is technically possible but i will make those changes: the heads a little smaller, scars on face and body, a skin textures to make them more brutish, mustaches, gut plates with a less dwarfish style.
pleeb2 14 Oct, 2016 @ 7:39pm
@Haradrim I understand you wanting to make more units before having to do the programming of inserting them into faction building trees. But I think it's the dwarfs who are in need of ogres, not the Empire. They don't have monstrous infantry, monsters or even CALVARY. Playing as them can be unenjoyable just because their infantry are so SLOW. They're the army with the fewest unit typing and playstyle options. Isn't that why Empire and Vampires are played the most online, and Dwarfs the least?
Ben 14 Oct, 2016 @ 12:06pm
Worth it. Especially that the Ogre Kingdoms are going to be veeeery late DLC.
Ologhai 14 Oct, 2016 @ 8:09am
@Haradrim, i dont know if this can be in your plan now, but i m thinking to make an empire army entirely composed by your ogres, so i would to ask you if you are interested in making a mod just to add an ogre lord to the empire's army roster, something like Golgfag mercenary captain or something like
Johnekaiser 13 Oct, 2016 @ 2:36pm
For those who think why are ogres apart of the Empire? Well in lore There are a Speical Type of Ogre Called Man Eaters (No they dont eat men) Basicly they leave their homeland to work for other races offten wearing gear and holding weapons that are apart of that race

Like an example an Empire Man eater might be wearing Imperial Armor or pieces of it allover his body

And an Orc Man Eater will be covered in head to toe in Crued orcish armor and perhaps have an oversized battle axe
Haradrim  [author] 12 Oct, 2016 @ 5:37am
@Khazmo @pleeb2 I decided to add them to the imperial roster because they don't have any monstrous infantry. I will do other versions for other factions too ,but I want to complete some more basic ogre units first. I think some other modders are working on other version too. And with the new dwarf/greenskins dlc coming op, might get some new stuff to work with.
Khazmo 12 Oct, 2016 @ 1:37am
Though I despise Age of Sigmar, I do know that in the earlier books, before Ogres were given their own army list, that Ogres were a part of the Orc and Goblin list much as they were part of the Empire list, so they would be suitable for the greenskins too. Also, if you make a Maneater unit, you can customise them to suit the Empire and another one to suit Greenskins, as they tailor their fighting style and appearance on the place they fight for.
pleeb2 11 Oct, 2016 @ 8:31pm
I'm confused as to why these are unique to the Empire. I give you credit for realizing that the ogres do work with humans, but that's because they'll work alongside anyone, as long as they get gold, piles of food/bodies, and new flavors of meat.

The only factions I can think of not ever using ogre mercenaries are the Bretonnians, who have a no-mercenary policy. I suppose the Beastmen don't use them either, but that's mainly because of geographical separation, and how few stories and details we get of the Beastmen compared to the other factions.

If you were to limit them to one faction, the ogres definately have the greater affinity with the Greenskins, even down to the goblin toadies. With Age of Sigmar, GW even gave players to option of putting them in the same army.
Slavenger Karl 11 Oct, 2016 @ 12:41pm
@Haradrim Quite ironic considering I was a dwarf main for a time...
Haradrim  [author] 11 Oct, 2016 @ 12:33pm
@Dragon101k_pl it's a reskin of one of the slayer belts
Slavenger Karl 11 Oct, 2016 @ 12:15pm
@Haradrim THIS IS TRUE BEAUTY! Where did you find it? It looks almost like lizardmen work but composes into the ogres nicely...
Haradrim  [author] 11 Oct, 2016 @ 11:33am
@Khazmo Thanks great stuff.
Haradrim  [author] 11 Oct, 2016 @ 11:31am
Aight ! I worked out some new gut plates let me know what you think ! If people like them I will work out some more variants and add them to this mod and the leadbelcher one.

New Plates:

That unit list might help you with further ideas for these, also on the same forum you could reference the dogs of war list and the Empire for more ideas. :)
Milf-Hunter 10 Oct, 2016 @ 10:51pm
Haradrim thanks for your time making this! great job, one of the most inovative mods since launch realy. Concerning Gut plates and lore, see the ogres take their gut with almost religious level, might one get wounded in the gut his mates would turn on him and eat him alive. So yeah its pretty important in the lore.) its kinda the worst death they could imagine
Slavenger Karl 10 Oct, 2016 @ 2:35pm
@Haradrim Messing with the colour schemes should be doable, asking people who have such stuff uploaded in the workshop sounds like a reasonable idea.

Besides the beasts and snotling contraptions, all units should be doable with converting the dwarf bases. I think the Leadbelchers and Maneaters are what I would like to see most as they're auxilary clothing would make them fit really well with an Empire contingent...
