Just started a new character. Trying to go Bower. Using the Rangers Bounty helps out a lot in these early levels. Can't say it's really OP at this point since I can still get one hit killed but with the right perks and stealth, I'm managing.

I'm down with hybrid class rings. Like Archer/Conjurers - Melee/Archer - Mage/Dual Daggers etc.

Great idea though. Good mod.

I realize that I was looking at it more along the lines of Further customizing the class. I saw this mod and instantly thought of a more refined way of preventing an "all" character. I always end up with a warrior that uses sword, magic, and bows. I would love to see a mod that restricts me from a path and strengthens another. Thats what I figured this was. I misunderstood.

The whole point of the Parasitic effect was to leech from important stat and put it into another important stat.

If it was done your way then there would be no risk . If the leeching effect only took away from something you didn’t need then there would be no balance of power.

The Mage loses health but gains extra Magicka. They are more likely to die unless they can juggle the spells properly and fast enough. The Ranger loses their Stamina for increased Health so they can take more up-close damage at a cost of bow blocks and Steady Hand and the Warrior loses Health for more Stamina so they can powerswing/block more often rather than standing there tanking in heavy gear.

Not to mention the class bonuses.

Close to what I want. However I don't want my health halved as a warrior. Halving Magicka makes more sense. As a Ranger or master of stealth, ranged combat taking from health and adding to stamina seems to make more sence. A mage who spends his time as a thinker and not a survivor could steal from his stamina pool.

I just checked with an earlier game and the key is there. You'll smack yourself when you find it.
Monasster 25 Jun, 2012 @ 2:38pm
hmmmmmm my guess would be in the prison chamber but still no luck.

The key can be found “where you might normally end up if you get caught”. (;

I suppose I could put a lockpick option on the chest. Currently it's 'key' only.

stuck on finding the key :P im sure i found the chest though lol

I'm definitely interested in feedback from those who play with the Rangers Bounty or the Warriors Bounty [I'm currently playing with the Mages Bounty so I adjusted the bonuses based on my last few levels of play]

I want your opinions based on a decent amount of playtime. Say between 5 levels worth if you can manage it that long. I'd also like to know what level your character is and what difficulty level you're playing.

Well, the point of the 'leech' is to take away from what you need to live and put it into what you need to fight. So for Warriors, taking away from magicka would offer no risk. Taking away from Health and putting it into Stamina means you can power attack more, block and shield bash but at the cost of less health.

i just saw
i only use the mage bounty so i did not look very much the other ones effects
maybe you should modify the warrior bounty : a warrior needs health and stamina but doesn't need magicka
so (it's just my opinion) maybe you should make that the warrior bounty leeches magicka to stamina and not health to stamina

do as you wish (that's your mod ^^)

ty for new textures
the updates are good (maybe a little up of mage's armor rating)

Another update. I felt the balance needed tweaking. See pics for new values

Updated with new texture.

don't say where the chest is set ^^
i already found it (about five minutes after my first comment )
maybe ennemies to kill before reaching the chest can be great
thank you for your mod (i have now 120 hp much more fun with my mage ^^)
(for those who did not get it already the rings do no work with added health stamina or magicka it counts just your base settings)

thank you

The chest isn't too hard too find as the lower chambers aren't complex. But if you think it could be more obvious, tell me. I had a though about building a more complicated seperate area with a few things to kill etc but I figured that would be overkill.
schroumpff 21 Jun, 2012 @ 9:04am
sounds great!!!
i use it as soon as i find the chest (already got the key ^^)

It's loads of fun! Well, I'm biased though.

I played my Conjurer/Archer type with a version of the Magicka Ring [a while back when i was testing the original idea] and although I had to give up Health, I gained enough mana to be able to cast some extra spells.

The Mages Bounty pairs really well with my other two mods - Conjuration Timers of Tweakage and Necromancer's Amulet of Tweakage. Both can be found here.
