@XTempestfugit1X Played the game a few days ago, it was working then. I've updated the mod just in case if that was the problem. Otherwise it might be overridden by another mod you have.

@Candy-Sama Sorry for the longest response time ever. I don't know the easiest way to make it work with another mod. Mine is just a few changes of text for the units themselves. It doesn't add anything new to the game. In theory you could probably copy my lines from my mod and add them to the other mod if it also modifies the basic legionaries. You have my permission if you want to do that.

Doesnt work

Hi there! I'm using this mod in conjunction with this other one: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2696463986

The mod actually works with the exception of certain legions missing their Pilum and other legions not working with the mod, but I'm trying to figure out how to make mod that just unifies the shields and helmet while working with the Roman Models Extravaganza - do you know how I could do that?

Desert Legionariers surely

On the other hand, I'll see what i can do. I have some free time over in the coming days so maybe I'll fix and upload it then!

epic

@DIOcletian I have no plans for this. Rarely play the game anymore. So what I will do is keeping the mods up to date.

hi. i was wondering if you post a version without the shield change to legionary cohort. i think they look better with varied shields. thanks.

Ok the new mod with unified armour should be in my workshop now. If you need a link here it is: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=849580559

Hope you guys like it!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Actually it doesn't take that much work so I am actually going to start and see what I can do right now, fact is I'm really terrible at modding, but this includes moving around some lines of text just so why the hell not? If it's something you guys would like I'll se what I can do! =)

I'd quite like a mod for the unified lorica segmentata for the cohorts as well.
However I haven't the feintest clue how much work that would be and I understand, especially since you don't really play RTW a lot anymore, if you don't want to/don't have time etc.

Anyhow, thanks for this mod, lovely little thing. :)

YES please can you make a single mod for the metal armor unified + helmets and shields
i will even give you a rome total war 2 backround.

Hi guys! I completely forgot about this mod. As for you guys correcting me about historical accucary. Thank you! I love learning new stuff! So you taught me new stuff, and that's really great!

The mod however is not to make it historically correct. I will change that in the description so that everybody knows. This is a mod made for myself to add som visual consistency. Compare it to the stormtroopers from the star wars franschise.

As for other plans for the mod. This is just something I made for myself and I will probably not do anymore cosmetic changes. Like changing the armor to only segmentata (personally I think it actually makes them too much unified!). We will see, not playing that much Total War Rome II anymore. But I might make it into a separate mod if it's something that people want. Cheers guys and thanks for the responses! =)

Can you do the same thing but with segmentata armor please.
Hugh de Salle 23 Jan, 2017 @ 12:49am
Actually Rome was the first professional global army they would have had quartermasters and standerd armour and weapons this was easier to account for and replace , but like modern armys its not free if you lose or break any piece of equipment the soldier would have payed for it.
I would imagine variations would have happend between the different arms of the army but in genreal it would not have been huge.
Res militaris or disciplina were standerd pattens put of to tender , This ment they had to be made exactly to plan with no varaitions .

Simple, but cool

WOW

The question is whether there was variation in helmets worn in a single unit or all soldiers in a unit wore the same kind of helmet but the kind of helmet varied between different units.

Vitallion this is a video game. Not all are interested in historical accuracy, when playing a video game.
Vitallion 19 Jan, 2017 @ 4:00pm
well... youre not right... its historically accurate... youre a victim of hoollywood romans style when everyone thinks that roman soldiers looked like a robots..same helmet, armour, sword, shield, etc... Its not truth... Roman soldiers used several different types of helmets or shiels and youre not right that for example coolus helmet doesnt belong to imperial army... even after the end of coolus era, coolus type of helmet ould be used but not in such a big amount....we have for example records of Montefortino helmets from 1st century AD!

There's just something glorious about an army that is uniform rather than a hodge podge. Cheers.
