can you sugest where find a ACE3 training guide because i read ace3 manual document and i try to do health exercises but i dont understand as well in detail the health functions. :steamsad:

@marco.toppy This was intended to be used in a group so one can perfom/practice on the dummies and not have to hurt each other to learn. This is a training range, no teacher included. You will have to get your own. BYOT. :P

@Moose on the loose Yes, you may have to edit the mission or use a mod that let's you become zeus, thus giving you the ability to add other crates or edit existing ones, if I remember correctly 3den editor gives you this option, when you ACE self interact.

That may be possible if one takes a look at saving the units state, with a pause button, and recreating it every second or so, until an unpause button is pressed. But that solution is beyond the scope of this old mission. Feel free to integrate it and if you succeed, let us all know. :)

I'm trying to do something similar but at a slower pace. Is there anything to stop the deterioration of the unit once injured, sort of like, damage them then pause where thier damaged state is and stop further blood loss etc?

@RangoDaLizard Just tested you can access it either through the scroll wheel menu, or with ace interaction with the supply box itself. I hope its not something stopping you from interacting with the box. I didn't find any issues on my end.

I thought I'd share something with those interested...

I wanted all AI units to be-able to react to their wounds & self-heal as normal, but I also want the specific patients from Aco's awesome scripts here to not heal themselves since I like to do mock-operations and mini-events on my ACE Training Map, without having to completely toggle off the abilities of all AI to heal themselves with ACE Medical...

If you want that too, try this:

Go into createpatient.sqf and without the quotation marks, add the line: "pat1 setVariable ["ace_medical_ai_lastFired", 9999999]; "

Go into createpatient1.sqf and without the quotation marks, add the line: "pat setVariable ["ace_medical_ai_lastFired", 9999999];"

Just thought maybe somebody out there might want to know. :NATO:

@QUADRA yes almost. And there is also a bit of randomness associated but usually yes, 3 quickclots, the benefit of quickclot is that if no medics are around to stitch people up, those take for ever to reopen.

Based on the reference sheet, it would take three quikclots to completely dress one large puncture wound. I understand correctly?

@William I don't use KAT, in theory its just doing damage, so should be possible, you may need to edit the arsenal and add the extra equipment needed. Give it a shot and let us know. :)

@NAGATO you can access this on your own machine, by hosting your own lan server. Its play as multiplayer option. If you have subscribed to this mission it will show up there.

@Pier, its a scenario and not a mod. Its a mission. You can find it in the missions tab, when you host a game. Hope that helped. :)

@Dario seems like you may have changed the names of the medical terminals. those terminals were named medicalData and medicalData1 if you have changed the names or changed the item from a data terminal to something else, then BIS_fnc_dataterminal stuff will not work and thus the error. Hope that helps.

@IoNiX65 do you have that enabled in your settings for ACE? it may be turned off for you or for the server you play on. If its not turned on, you can still use the treatment option by ace interacting.

Yes. We use the same scripts now too. The modules are outdated but are supported even now, so it should be good for now.

You may want to mess with the files that cause damage, and add unconsciousness flag if needed. That is only if you want to fine tune the settings to the way you play.

@TEMPLAR Thanks. We do use a slightly modified one in our group, this was just meant to be a quick way to practice. Feel free to modify it to suit your needs. No issues there. If you made a better one, feel free to share it. Its for the community to use, learn and have fun. The more the better. :)

I was trying out the mission lately and when I spawn the patients, there is no option to provide them treatment with the medical items, both through the interaction menu and the medical menu, as if I have no medical items at all (and I do).

Suggest adding:
[pat1, true] call ace_medical_fnc_setUnconscious;
After the injury function calls. To ensure unconscious state.

Also, working on looping the script properly so it's more efficient.

I believe it is ready for testing. The way people/ai regain consciousness is now different. Every 15s there is a 5% chance that they will wake up. If you wish to speed this up, use epi, again it only does a minor boost to the chances. Takes a bit longer with the new system. This can be edited in the CBA settings now. I recommend that you increase the chance, and the boost provided by epi.

Be careful and do not use a lot of epi or morphine etc, overdose is a thing now.

Good thing is Medical AI can now actually take care of the injured effectively, they need some supervision, but one medic can help about 4-5 people if they have a medic ai team at their disposal.

i'm now forced to use the advanced med system on the servers i play on and i'm a noob in it. would love the pratice..

i can never get anyone to wake up after fully healing them even with fluid and epi

@PanicSwitchSep It should at least make those damages. KAT adds some extra ways to damage stuff that I am not doing in this script. Feel free to add those damages to the create patient file. Their github page is nice and has all the details needed. Will I implement those changes? probably not. The unit I play with does not use KAT, if they decide to use it, then I will modify this script to use it too.

@luckyx3boy I am guessing you copied the stuff over to a new mission, there are 2 hidden markers where the patients spawn, They are not visible in the normal map view, but when you go to the map view in the editor, i.e, by pressing m those markers show up, may be those markers are down there or not at all, they the default spawn position is now the corner. That is the best guess I can make at the moment.

Ran into a weird problem or at least it seems it is weird. The module and script works exactly as needed; however the patient that spawns go's to the far corner of the map. No idea if I'm missing something or what is going on. Would love some feedback
