...also.... is it possible to move the display on this MOD. I don't know if this is occurring on anyone elses... but on mine it blocks the Menu when you hit ENTER.

Is there a MOD that displays the Speed only? Doesn't change anything in game... speed, engines, etc.... just displays your current speed? It's always bothered me that I don't know how fast I'm going; and when I upgrade my engines I really can't tell if I'm going any faster.

Something I noticed is that the beeping coincides with each update of the m/s digital display. Each time the digital display updates the speed, the sound beeps. Because the display updates the speed several times per second, it sounds continuous. Hopefully this helps you with a fix.

@Toj Karin - Can you please let me know what you did to fix this? This beeping sound is driving me insane, and I need to remove the mod until I can fix this. The beeping sound will play constantly while I'm moving, and it will also play if i target any other ship that moves as well.

Well, I somewhat succeeded in it my self. With zero understanding of the code, I tried to prevent the text showing by changing the relevant IF conditions such that they are never true. The texts did not disappear but the beeping sound stopped. But as I said "somewhat", there is now a small side effect where the position of the text changed to the bottom middle of the screen. Not a big problem and I can live with that.

If you think it would help fixing this, I can share my solution?

@Toj Karin This issue was reported before, and i can't reappear the beep soud on my game(which i've finally learned the beep for Maxim Rozov's email), And this is not happen to everyone, where wired problem

Awesome mod and seems to be still working. But there's one immensely annoying problem which renders this almost un-usable. When ever I'm moving, there's constant beeping sound, propably coming from the text message showing the speed. Could you update this to either mute, or remove the text message(assuming that is the problem)?

Mod is pretty awesom, but capital ship's flying 240m\s and bumping all around is very annoyng. Same with "M" trade ships, they bump station's all time. Are you still support this mod?

@supamat Thx for your feedback, the speed bar use helptext and refresh with high frequency, this may cause some problem. Shame that's something i can't fix. About highway exit speed, I've tried and find No way to adjust it, seems like it's a hardcore setting to make sure ships shoot out the highway at max speed. :steamfacepalm:

another bug ive noticed is when the digital speed bar is on i cannot use the mouse to click on the radial menu when in comms with another ship. i have to use the keyboard. or alternativly i have to have no target and not be moving to use the mouse on the comms menu. not sure how to fix this besides moving the digital speed bar

i like the improved speeds and better missles. works well. but im having a problem with exiting highways. even if i reach a exit at the slowest speed it automaticly increases to max highway speed and i shoot out the exit at full speed and crash into whatevers in front of me. is there any way to exit at the slower highway speeds?

its only the actual exit that causes speed problems. i can press backspace to exit normally without flying out at full speed.

im using these 2 mods that effect highways: better highway visuals, and no highway trash

You should just make a T file for every language, just copy paste the L044 in L007, L033, L034 etc...

Also, I didn't tried yet in a lot of combat situations, do weapon's ranges and bullet speeds react correctly with new speeds ?

@Hammerxsun 我说的是“加速度”,而不是“极速”。问题是增压MK5装上后直接把引擎开到最大和开boost的“加速度”差距还真的没多少

用的是高速引擎4,海盗小飞机1千多的速度,转弯失速后开加速追,看着海盗小飞机飞出好远,之间距离没缩短多少。

例如:臭鼬如果是Supercharge引擎5,开加速后速度会从1440提升到6480.原版是360提升到3600。请注意加速度G的调整,飞船需要更长时间到达最大速度

5.能否把无人机的速度一并上调,我发现无人机的速度貌似没有变化,暂时不知道是不是因为我打了其它MOD冲突所致

1.建议增加臭鼬boost的加速度,尤其是搭载了增压引擎后,用MK5感觉直线加速开不开boost的差距实在太小。
2.细化一下速度控制的精度,我在N网下载了另一个把前进速度增加到20级调节后才能比较好的操控,尤其是在钻大船死角,如打爆冥王无人机发射口的时候。
3.这个可能有点难度,能否给臭鼬的boost单独加一个能量条,不要再用盾了……
4.侧击引擎转弯时的过载能否调高点?

@chowtai 臭鼬某种程度我的确是弱化它了,因为做这个MOD的时候还是抱着能出换座驾飞船的期望,作为S级别的飞船,已经很变态了。速度进一步提升可以,但相应减速所花费的时间更长。

说下8.5版整体体会:飞机整体提升到3~2倍音速个别更高,修改后导弹感觉非常逼真非常好用,格斗样式由原版的机炮突突突,变为丢导弹为主,类似现代空战,占领战舰没原版容易了导弹、无人机处理不好十分烦人。

说下8.5版具体体会和建议:
1.臭鼬的加力飞行被大大弱化(较原版),即便换装高速引擎4型加力追小飞机十分吃力,更别说追上高速飞行中的大船。如果不是已到极限希望加力飞行参数大幅提高;
2.臭鼬的加速与减速效果感觉被弱化,需要的时间较长,如果不是已到极限希望参数大幅提高,如果已到参数极限,可以反向思考适当降低最高速度来匹配加速度,已获得很好的控制体验。
3.臭鼬侧移可以考虑参数适当的提高,换装侧移引擎4,侧移有,其实可以更明显些。
4.臭鼬掉头、转大弯的掉速非常严重,3~2倍音速掉头掉速是常识,希望能不是那么严重。
5.臭鼬速度显示如果能是绿色的,效果会更好。
6.百科全书里查看各种导弹详情里希望加入射程数据、最大飞行时限数据、通常AI发射距离。

@Dreatern I've upgrade the speedbar, there will no speedbar if you have no target-ship selected and keep your ship speed zero. That's the best i can do now.

Good mod but the clicking when you change the speed, I can't remove the voice acting, because the mod was removed after 3 minutes of flight.:steamsad:

@Unimatrix 1 Thx, "player speed" and "object speed" which i've used form original T files, so that there will be no language compatible problem. Change text "player" to "ship" is a good idea! And there is a "ship" but no "target", which i've first choice was "target" too.

i like where it is actually ^^ maybe change the designation? "player speed" and "object speed" is not very immersive, why not something like "ship" and "target" ? honestly i took a look in the files but couldnt find it.
Only problem for me with the clearing of messages is that i miss the CWIR notifications.

I know from reading the forums alot thyat no moder has integrated information on the ship displays its hard coded. Thats also why there is no mod to split the information on separate displays - like getting cargo information when you're in a big fight covering your radar, really bad :/

@Dreatern Thx for your suggestion. Actully, at first i've tried to put digital speed into pannal, but UI modding is nearly a nightmare for me or nearly every modder so far.
I'll try to move the digital speed bar to a better position.

I do not know if the game allows modders to change the entire interface, but if this is possible, have this info integrated into the ship's display would be much more elegant.

The "show ballance" does not bother me as much because it is in the lower right corner. I still think it's a little big and covers a small display area, exactly where the reputation points appear, but in general It is away from everything

very good balance and flight specs, makes the combat harder and more tactical, specialy dogfight near stations. Missiles are spot on. Exploration more lively, no more snailing in zones or free space. L and XL ships are really balanced too. Its now a must have for me. Too bad for show balance ^^. Thx for the work

the speed bar is actually really helpfull because as speeds are increased and acceleration overall decreased, the deltas get much bigger and you have to anticipate more your thrust inputs, in particular for interceptions or flyby's

This is really good but can you release the same mod without the speed bar?

It is useful but at the same time not so much in this game and having this 2 bars in the middle of the screen is "weird". If the maximum speed info can be found on engine description, that's enough.

If the game had more elegant ways of displaying information, it would be better.
is it not possible to display information on ship display with mods? (the display that shows the minimap, radar, info and location name). That would be perfect

@Munkle both 'Show Balance' and 'Captialship bridge' mod, there are remove all overlay text box script, I don't know why, So if I didn't set remove other overlay, and 'Show Balance' whould completely disable my speed bar, those mods make me no choices. I've already compromise with 'Captialship bridge' which wouldn't show speed bar when docked.

Is it intentional that you fly out of highways at 5km/s? even when you are travaling at 250m/s at the end of them.
