@Argual i look at that mod and to say that Conveyor Tunnels and Maintenance Tunnels very similar is a sin Maintenance Tunnels have air lock door vent for cargo access parts and
Conveyor Tunnels has non of that there just Conveyor hollowed out and say there very similar is beyond a sin it considered treason so who ever say there similar, please report Phobos so the [DCI] Firing squad can end your existence. in truth though @Argual i think you should really consider coming back to se modding February update changing the mod API for the better where mod can read the game file and other mods so the Computer Mathematics for mods be less taxing on the game

Make sure you check out this mod, it is very similar and I am sure way more professionally done. Also, I am sorry for not working on these anymore.

My hope is that eventually, with the authors permission, someone will take over the future if this mod. This is one of my personal must have mods for the game and I would really hate to see it die do to an update or something.

thank you so much, these will be perfect for building tunnels and vent systems into buildings and planets and large ships and its gunna make a hellva lotta fun infiltrating them with friends and making custom scenarios :)

@DevotedSamurai there are two replacement mods, neither as good, but at least workable.
<Conveyor Tunnels> by Novar - basically conveyor tubes you can walk in.
<Conveyor Ducts> by Sharpsterman - Jefferies type conveyors that you need to crouch in to move through. Hope that helps.

Yeah i apologize i over looked the discontinued part, do you perhaps have any links to any of the mods that may have gotten picked up or perhaps know any mod authers who may have it or a possible replacement?

Hi, since I'm at university I don't have much energy to mod SE anymore. Also, I didn't play any SE for some time. You may expect very small mods here and there, but I'm sorry to say that most of my mods are discontinued. Some people picked up few of the popular ones though, so you may still get your wish ;)

using these to connect several bases on a planets surface, which is cool because having multiple junctions that lead to your base is cool, like "take a left and continue down that path when you reach the next junction take a right, don't go straight that will lead you to the mars surface on the cliff side, when you reach the hanger you'll exit right.." and just makes for over all fun role play and survival fun. Good job and hope to see more cool stuff from you, maybe a concrete style version of this in the future for planets and astorids?

Sorry, but your Maintenance Tunnels are fair superior to The Conveyor Maintenance Ducts. Yours just affords far more options when it come to turns and junctions and just overall fuctionality.

There's "Conveyor Maintenance Ducts" by Sharpsterman, but you can only traverse through the tunnels in the crouch position.

honestly, this is still the best walkableconveyor mod to date in my opinion, least for how it looks. the "updated" version looks terribly by comparison, and these still function quite well voerall with only a few quirks which are easy to figure out.

All graphics wet to highest they go and I cant get it to look half as good as the pics above. Obviously this is a outdated mod that no longer functions correctly. The new version is ugly as heck btw. too bad! Good idea though, I keep wanting to take vanilla doorways and remove the doors so I can have a tunnel.

I gotta say, I prefer this one over the new one. I just love all the detail, really looks sharp. I do wish there were at least one straight one with lights and another with an lcd screen. (Yeah I read your comment, but I'd still love it if there were some. :P )

The new version have been released. I hope you will like it. It became a little easier to move around in the tunnels, as I made the pipes sink into the walls more. The poly count has been reduced to around 1/4 on the base models, and around 1/20 on the 3rd LOD model.

Altrhough the models are a lot less detailed (while still looking better IMO), I could not do much about collisions, so this mod is still leaning heavily on your system's power.

From time to time I consider making it, but it would just be a cheaper and less useful variation of the mergeless tunnel + merge block combo. Should not be a problem making it tho, maybe after I'm done with the models... again :D (maybe)

Is there a Tunnel Block, that works similar to the vanilla Connector? So merging the grids together and walking through?

Oh and the new version will be uploaded as a separate mod, but you will be able to switch without losing your blocks. The development of this mod will probably be discontinued. (I mean THIS one, not the new version :D )

Currently I'm working on a simplified version of this mod, as the models are too detailed. Don't worry, they won't look bad, they just won't have so many pipes and gadgets on them. Also as I'm more experienced with modelling and texturing now, their textures will look slightly better too!

However, be patient! I will try to finish at least 1 block in a day, but I'm learning basic game development and also wish to enjoy the holiday.

you could probobly do it, but it would have to be manually installed.

@argual - The motd says that you wont implement tunnels with lights or text panels as they wouldnt transport items; would it not be possible to implement ones that can be both conveyors and text pannels? This would then meet your criteria as well as making many people happy.

I am also having an issue where the blocks do not appear in my game. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and still no luck. Is this just an unfortunate issue on my end, or is this mod busted?

Just a thought - would turning the tunnels from gleaming 'new' look to rusty, dirty 'old' look have an effect on the lag problem?

I think there was a glitch in the game for me, sorry about earlier post. One issue has been a bit painful though. When this mod is on (also your other mods) the game takes ages to load. Also, when scrolling through pipes, the game freezes for a bit. Could be the awesome modelling, but I have other mods with good models too and they don't exhibit this behavior.

Is there something I can do on my end (aside from buy a new graphics card or whole PC) to speed this up, or troubleshoot it?

So ... I have tried the following:
Mod reloaded: did not appear in the inventory.
Folder where the mods are saved deleted and reloaded: Does not appear in the inventory.
Game reinstalled: Not appeared in inventory.
Sure the mod is all right? It would be a pity if this cool Mod could not be repaired.
I hope you can do something with this information to repair it.
