@raphaelwrbas hmm, Problem is that the Vargheists are a flying unit. An unit needs to have a fitting animation for it to feel like a "vanilla" unit. I need something to base myself off of to. Like a TT model or something. Or at least something lorefriendly.

But please, do stop spam requests here. If you want to post requests, I've written in the description to my group. There you're free to post requests to your hearts content. :steamhappy:

Okay this is my last try at finding a unit thats possible to make . So i searched deep in the lore and then i found Crypt flayers . Crypt flayers are ghouls that were fed with terrorgheist flesh and ghoul king blood and that makes them mutated into flying beast that look like vargheists . special things about them could be that they cause terror because the warhammer lexicanium says "In their chests dwells a measure of the undead beast’s capacity to unleash a mind-shredding shriek.The victims feel their blood turn to ice in their veins and terror grip their hearts." and they could have poison atacks because they are ghouls . cons could be that they have lower damage because a mutated ghoul probably wouldnt be stronger then a mutated vampire . for looks they look like ghoulish vargheists so you could use vargheist model and animations but maybe make there textures look ghoulish . Hope you like the idea this time also i am sry if i am annoying you with my suggestions

@raphaelwrbas problem is with Spirit hosts that there are no animations that would suit the unit. No models or anything.

Ok so after some hours on the warhammer wiki i found a lore friendly unit that could maybe be worth making Spirit Hosts . and a special thing about could be that they have strider attribute because the warhammer lexicanium says "the spirits glide above the earth, ignoring any terrain beneath them, easily outgoing the earth-bound infantry and even cavalry" but a con for them could be low melee defense because it also says that their reactions are extremly slow. For looks they could look like the cairn wraiths but without weapons but if you want to make them you can make them however you want . I Hope you like the idea

@raphaelwrbas problem is there's no animation that would fit their models. It would break.

would it be possible to make a dire wolf chariot (melee chariot) for the vampire counts ? sadly something like that is not in the lore (as far as i know) but maybe a necromancer could have seen greenskin wolf chariots and his thoughts were "hey i could do something like that too ".

@King Of Souls I'm confused. What do you want a skin wolf for the Vampire counts? A were wolf but not a wolf? What? Because Altering their looks and animation is a no go.

So you could make these werewolves to the vampire counts or the men of the beasts or to the chaos, the faction that becomes easier for you, I would just like a troop like a werewolf and not a wolf itself as there are Units on the warhammer, thank you For answering me. @Sudsinabucket Not possible. Dwarf units doesn't have the animations for mounts. Besides it wouldn't be lorefriendly. Dwarfs do not have any mounted units in the lore.

If you want Lord of the Rings content, then I suggest you play mods for the other total war games. Not in this one, won't happen.

Would it be possible to make a dwarf calvary unit? I've been searching everywhere for a dwarves griffon rider, with a thunderbolt ability or something of the like...or just Ironbreakers on Huge Swine/Rams

I love my flame units, but sometimes, I just want to see death come from above, or in the form of an angry fat man on a huge Ram/Angry Pig lol

@TheHighTower101 well, I don't think having more anti large is suitable. They already have tons of anti large units. Eternal Guards, wildwood rangers etc

true, sturdy probably wasn't the right word, maybe effective would be better. What I was thinking of was a unit kind of like the empire gryphon cavalry, where it's lower in number than other spear units like the wardancers and still has the elf playstyle (quick with low armor), but is better at taking out large enemies.

Ya it is very flushed out, but I don't know if you would want to do like a wild rider melee hawk unit or a wildwood ranger halberd unit?

No unfortunately. Not in custom battle anyway. I'm using Crynsos' Empire faction unlocker. I'll see if they can be recruited in a co-op campaign. Would be great to see these units available for sub factions.

No. Mixxxu mod is having a weird bug for now, but if i am not wrong, all his units are into a bulding, from all his mods are into unique buldings

They have the unit, but as far as I'm aware they don't have it in the building which is weird. Have you tested that?

I know it is possible to give them units, mixxxu did that, but i dont know if the current tools allow for that or if they need to be updated

@RafaL to be honest, I don't know if I can. Mousillon should be with the category of Vampires so they should have the same building variant. I have not played mousillon campaign myself since I don't mod my game that hard. So I don't know what it looks like over there.

@TheGrandSirPiggy well, you've got to understand that it's their game and they have given us tools specific for modding. I guess some things they do when update just can't be helped. Sure it's frustrating (look at me, I have like 30+ units to update EVERY SINGLE PATCH) but I can still see why this happens especially when they release new stuff for factions that are unique.

I never really used the reskins he made sadly. I wonder why he/she wasn't patient and just left it there, like I did with pack 2

That`s the problem... I don`t really know! The mod got taken down. I don`t know if you are familiar with his/hers work, but those were some of the the best reskins around... Sad to see great modding work disappear/never get updated cause CA likes to fuck over modders at every chance they get! A shame.

@TheGrandSirPiggy I hope they hear about the fix. It can be rather tedious if you're not eager to do so. you basically have the change from wsmodel to rigid_model_v2 (Propably doesn't say anything to you if you're not retexturing yourself :P).

We can only hope. Who made the retexture? Can I contact him somehow?

THE MOD DROUGHT IS FINALLY OVER! That`s some amazing news! Keep up the great work Guv! I can use my black grail knights again! Any new units planned? Also, do you happen to know if the modder that made the Tattered Ethereals mod will be reuploading it again, now that the problem is fixed!
