@tylerarrington83 yes, the mod became obsolete...
The CK2 team allowed me to include or even expand basically all improvements of this mod into the base game in the Holy Fury and Iron Century updates. In those updates I was actually able to add even little more than I did for this mod, so it's not needed anymore.
tylerarrington83 26 Jul @ 12:45pm
Doesn't seem to work anymore, it just crashes the game now
elvain  [author] 19 Feb, 2019 @ 1:27pm
basically yes. No need to use it, since most its improvements have been even improved inside the original game.
WalmartWarchiefツ 18 Feb, 2019 @ 8:01am
So, is this mod dead?
elvain  [author] 19 Dec, 2018 @ 7:44am
Well, the latest patch basically included all the changes I made in this mod and in many places went beyond. I myself cooperated with the devs in several areas and I find the current vanilla map better than this mod, so I do recommend using it.
Aurelius 3 Dec, 2018 @ 5:09am
soo any news about the mod ?
Magik 7 Jan, 2018 @ 4:37pm

hi Everyone. I'm very sorry, but I'm way too busy with other stuff now and I won't be able to update the map for Jade Dragon in upcomming days. If ever, the update won't come before december
云寄桑 17 Nov, 2017 @ 3:19am
@elvain It's time to update ! The Jade Dragon has come !
Uniwalker 1 Oct, 2017 @ 12:00pm
@elvain Seems like this bug is only affecting the eastern european regions in my game. The game crashed on every Rurikid game I tried to play, but it never crashed on any of my other starts.
Uniwalker 10 Sep, 2017 @ 7:15am
@elvain It seems like I'm having problems using your mod. Every time I start a new game, the game runs for like 2 ingame-days then freezes and crashes to the desktop. This is pretty weird though, because when I played on another save 3 days ago with your mod enabled, everything was working fine. I even completely reinstalled the game but the bug still remained. Is this due to a recent patch or does your mod have any compatibility issues with some dlcs?
OwnGoal99 31 Jul, 2017 @ 6:26pm
@elvain the only mod I have is your map mod. And I guess it was working but the counties were so faint I didnt see that they were not claimed. Does this mod work on in-use save games? Because it crashes everytime I start playing.
elvain  [author] 30 Jul, 2017 @ 11:45pm
@Mentaberry Infumable - okay, I might put a link on this mod's thread on Paradox forums:
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/map-mod-ibn-battutas-legacy-map-improvement-of-islamic-world.901892/
Check it later today or tomorrow.
elvain  [author] 30 Jul, 2017 @ 11:41pm
@Juros - yup, the mod should definitely add provinces to Africa - there should be the connection between West and East Africa as well as the corridot to Libya. No idea where could be the problem. Do other mods work for you? Could you send me a screenshot of your mod folder and of your launcher (mods section)?
OwnGoal99 29 Jul, 2017 @ 8:09pm
I don't think this mod is working. I am using a pretty clean new install with regular DLCs and when I run this mod, no new counties in Africa show up. They should, right?
Werrywerwrreywerywery 29 Jul, 2017 @ 10:59am
My workshop works like shit and idk why, i have a lot of problems and 99% of the time mods didnt download. Idk why you wouldn't put a direct download link XD
elvain  [author] 28 Jul, 2017 @ 12:44pm
I would prefer the download to work only via Workshop. Any particular reason for having direct download? You can check the files in the .zip in your mod folder
Werrywerwrreywerywery 28 Jul, 2017 @ 9:20am
plz direct download link
Lord_Daemonar 9 Jul, 2017 @ 1:48pm
@Elvain, thank you!
elvain  [author] 9 Jul, 2017 @ 1:08pm
@Lord_Daemonar After a quick check, I think Jewish kings compatibility would require few minor changes to the 00_cultures file and perhaps adding those Jewish and Arab names to the provinces in question (landed_titles), the rest shouldn't be problem. Since my mod does many more changes in both files, it would be better to ask Jewish kings author to do a compatibility version (use my these files from my mod and add those few his changes in). If he won't want, you can do them yourself.
As for Frisia - I might consider it for the 769 bookmark. Certainly not for any later.
elvain  [author] 18 Apr, 2017 @ 12:30am
it is not updated, but works just fine. Only thing you lose are the few map changes introduced in that patch (Ganges river, lake Baikal etc. Danube is obviously already fixed in this mod). Everything else should be ok, as far as I know
801 TTS Airbats 15 Apr, 2017 @ 3:44pm
Is updated for latest patch?
2.7?
Vincent Price 7 Mar, 2017 @ 7:42pm
There are two landlocked provinces in northern Germany that still have sea connections to provinces they are no longer adjacent to. Otherwise great mod.
elvain  [author] 22 Feb, 2017 @ 8:51am
What do you mean by that? Could you be more concrete?
Lord_Daemonar 18 Feb, 2017 @ 10:39am
Can you also implement Frisia's old borders?
elvain  [author] 30 Jan, 2017 @ 3:31am
The mod has just been updated - Overhauled Caucasus, few minor changes in Germany (fixed Cologne, Innsbruck removed and instead moved to NW Germany as Berg, no more impassable mountains between Trento and Tyrol (Brenner pass), Trento added to de jure duchy of Tyrol.
Aranim 6 Dec, 2016 @ 2:43am
Good mod. I'd like to suggest a little addition to it. It always annoyed me that the alps between Tyrol and Trent are not passable, where in the middle ages it was the main connection between the German and the Italian parts of the HRE. Virtually every Kaiser that went south crossed through Tyrol and went either over the Reschen or the Brenner. so it would be really great if you could make a passage at the southside of Tyrol.
Cheers
elvain  [author] 25 Nov, 2016 @ 3:16am
thanks for your feedback.
The mod has been updated and all mentioned problems fixed, except the localisation and income from trade routes. For some reasons the final income simply ignores the values I've set for them. Need to find a way to make it work as intended.
hornetDC 23 Nov, 2016 @ 11:15am
Really good stuff, a little buggy though. As people mentioned, Sinai Peninsula is glitched: http://imgur.com/a/YYeYN
Slave road is glitched too. Gold road is missing localization, and it is also TOO rich: http://imgur.com/YlpPZeS
Phalanx 22 Nov, 2016 @ 2:37pm
Nice mod! But this version has glitch in the trade line.
lionheartrmsy 21 Nov, 2016 @ 10:20pm
I found a small bug. When I send troops from egypt to sinai the troops first go to the southwest of Africa then to the sinai.
Robotx2300 21 Nov, 2016 @ 11:53am
Is it wrong that I think this makes the map more like EU4's? Not a bad thing at all.
Gruff 21 Nov, 2016 @ 9:13am
THANK YOU! Truly! i have played this game for 790+ and i cannot get over the fact that bohemia is to far north, Truly thou arth a man of glory!
elvain  [author] 19 Nov, 2016 @ 11:01am
Yes, it is Ironman compatible (acheivements don't work, though).
And I haven't tested it with converter, but except the new provinces in Africa (and 2 in central Asia) it should be more or less okay.
manray 19 Nov, 2016 @ 10:56am
Is this ironman compatible?
⚜QUEEB⚜TRASH⚜ 19 Nov, 2016 @ 10:30am
Does this work with the eu4 converter?
elvain  [author] 19 Nov, 2016 @ 6:21am
@Magyar Betyár - I will check that. You're right that the border might look little better.
@Rickter and @Gaius J.C. - I hope you (will) like it even after trying. Any suggestions or feedback are welcome!
@King Charles the Bald - I'm sorry. Modding community has some rules and I'm not going to break them especially when asked to openly make the mod available to somebody with illegal copy. The game is quite often on sale available for some 10EURO which IMHO isn't that much. It is worth much more. I myslf bought it to be abe to access modding community. I can only recommend this step.
King Charles the Bald 18 Nov, 2016 @ 5:38pm
Elvain, is it possible to provide a Direct download link? to like a media fire or dropbox or something? I would love for one, as I Don't have a legit copy of Ck2, but mine is 2.6.1 and I would love to have this mod.
Phoenician Prince 18 Nov, 2016 @ 2:28pm
I haven't tried it out yet, but the moment I saw this mod I fell in love with it, great work, I look forward to trying it out!
ɌƗȻꝀŦɆɌ 17 Nov, 2016 @ 10:50am
looks like a damm fine mod, gonna give it a try!
Bob der Braumeister 16 Nov, 2016 @ 7:53am
I only have 1 problem. The western border of Hungary and so the eastern border of Bavaria (duchy of Austria) is a little bit too round. Other than that, it's a great mod.:steamhappy:
elvain  [author] 16 Nov, 2016 @ 5:44am
Thanks for your feedback! And for the positive words.
You're right, there were several wrong pixels which I have now fixed and as soon as I test everything, I will soon upload a new version, which will also contain some other minor changes/fixes I noticed in the meantime.
Concerning Turkestan - I was aware of that but somehow thought it doesn't mind much, but I guess you're right and it will be changed too.

As of Munster - there will be some more fixes (Cologne will be moved to the right bank of Rhine and new province will appear there instead.

As of further changes. The plan is to gradualy overhaul all parts of the map which need it and for which I have sources. Howver, I don't want to do drastic changes in de-jure setup of duchies and kingdoms in order to keep this as close to vanilla as possible. Simultaneously I am working on another mod, which goes deeper and changes also history.
Some changes of this kind might be possible there, but not in the map mod itself.
Divayth Fyr 15 Nov, 2016 @ 6:46pm
So, I noticed a few immediate issues. First, Karnten has a part of what should be Krain. Second, Turkestan is also divided, with the duchies of Syr Darya and Zhetsyu not being contiguous.

Less importantly, there's also something weird going on with Munster, in Germany. It's the only province where the name doesn't sit overtop of the province itself very well. I suspect some there's an extra pixel or two in a neighboring province.

Overall, however, I really like the map and the province changes, however. Any plans to further modify things like duchies and kingdoms?
elvain  [author] 15 Nov, 2016 @ 3:47pm
screenshot added. Is it okay? Or you want a more detailed one?
Ograe 15 Nov, 2016 @ 2:39pm
@elvain Can you add a screen shot of the trade routes after the modification?
Varainger 15 Nov, 2016 @ 9:52am
Tirol is perfectly fine in dejure Bavaria.
Marisa Gaming 15 Nov, 2016 @ 7:38am
Bavaria shouldn't have de jure over tirol
Varainger 15 Nov, 2016 @ 5:50am
Thanks elvain.
elvain  [author] 15 Nov, 2016 @ 5:40am
The other version uses provinces from areas which have more provinces than necessary (Syria/Iraq, East Africa), or take them from other marginal parts of the map (northernmost parts of Siberia and Scandinavia + 1 each from Maghreb, Egypt, Germany and Arabia).

This version keeps these provinces there or, in case of Syria/Iraq moves them to other parts of their own region or to Arabia.
