Would it be possible to commission the author to recreate this mod for Stronghold HD/Stronghold Crusader HD?
mxrtxn 13 May, 2021 @ 9:20pm
Attic I agree with Maestroll the dark water is very beautiful it will look awesome on AOE2 DE!
MaestroII 28 Jun, 2020 @ 7:44am
Please make this dark water mod also for Age of Empires II DE
mxrtxn 25 Apr, 2020 @ 4:17pm
Awesome Attic! Your textures are beautiful! Please let us know when you release them :)
AtticNote  [author] 25 Apr, 2020 @ 7:39am
Yeah I've been making a better updated version for DE with the new water rendering just some things need finishing before I upload. Lighter and more saturated and looks more well rounded.
mxrtxn 18 Apr, 2020 @ 7:13pm
Dear modder. Is it possible to install these beautiful textures in the Definitive Edition?
if not Will you ever make them available to it?
Seb 21 Dec, 2019 @ 2:41am
It looks realistic indeed, but looks realistic for inland shallow rocky basins... that's a very specific choice for a texture that's supposed to represent ocean everywhere. Very good work, I just question the source material being used. Thanks
AtticNote  [author] 23 May, 2019 @ 2:39am
New version being worked on btw. New mangrove. Better transition between Azure and shallow.

The rocks will be in the slp folder. I can't check which file at the moment I don't have the slp reader installed.
Hamdybx 3 May, 2019 @ 5:21am
GOOD JOB !!
( ゚_ゝ゚) ☕7 7 Dec, 2018 @ 8:26am
What is the filename for the rocks?
Yushishoot 6 Jul, 2018 @ 11:26pm
Some texture looks blurring, example for mangrove :(
karlosmt 22 Apr, 2018 @ 1:37pm
excelent work! Top!
Staring Eagle 25 Mar, 2018 @ 7:27am
This is the first water reskin mod that turns me on!
Lord Shinysoul 6 Feb, 2018 @ 10:58am
excellent, i hope to see this mod soon on steam
AtticNote  [author] 6 Feb, 2018 @ 10:07am
Ah that tree came from Enkelikuoleman's old tree mod which I edited and included in a tree and terrain mod I was working on bit by bit at the time.
Lord Shinysoul 2 Feb, 2018 @ 8:58am
yes never seen that pine, what mod is it?
Faeborn 24 Jan, 2018 @ 9:55pm
second to last, i mean
Faeborn 24 Jan, 2018 @ 9:54pm
what trees did you use in that last photo?
charlieninkedisi 30 Dec, 2017 @ 11:13am
Beautiful! Standart water looks so ugly to me after using your mod for months!
AtticNote  [author] 15 Oct, 2017 @ 8:42am
oh cool yeah sure
Roneleth 22 Aug, 2017 @ 4:47am
Best water mod I've seen so far, shame it's not the most popular. Thanks making this! :)
AtticNote  [author] 1 Apr, 2017 @ 12:48pm
If you don't like one of the textures open up the mod folder from the mod manager and rename the texture you don't like e.g. g_bch_00_COLOR.png -> notforme_g_bch_00_COLOR.png and then it won't be recognised by the game
summons_2012 27 Mar, 2017 @ 6:48pm
Real good job with the water!
Perrito Gordito 20 Mar, 2017 @ 12:41pm
Nice work! But.. i think Marshy island textures are too green, so, it is difficult to see trees and some buildings and farms... If u solve this i give five stars to this mod. Looks amazing with other textures mods.
[DAO] Encoded29 2 Mar, 2017 @ 3:12am
i like this but the shallows i.e. light blue can be slightly too rich, although it look lovley in the image you provided.

Can you upload an alternative version of this Mod with a different beach sand color? Your mod is beautiful but the beach color doesn't match any textures of the original game/other mods.
jdiefenb 10 Feb, 2017 @ 1:36pm
Hey Ali, could you add your dark beach again? I tried to ask you in a private message. Could you add a separate mod that would only change the beach to the previous dark version? or could you update this one with that change?
Gwotyng 5 Feb, 2017 @ 9:36pm
This is the best Water mod I have seen so far and I am using it. The best part is the terrain textures underwater which make the water more real and beautiful.
Michal 27 Jan, 2017 @ 8:54am
Just bough last 2 DLCs and water looks really weird on Real maps Australia and Indonesia, like spilled green oil, i dont know if is replacement for swamps or something else - similar to the 1st picture here on left side
Neky 22 Jan, 2017 @ 10:00pm
Wo... wonderful...! I just lost my words to describe it...! Just WOW!!
Iceman 20 Jan, 2017 @ 4:29am
Hi. Would you be able to do waters in this color, kinda dirt with sand? It would suit very well for African Kingdoms expansion.

AtticNote  [author] 19 Jan, 2017 @ 5:15am
serp: I've never used voobly so no. If someone else wants to make one with these textures then I'm fine with that.

maes: Thanks :)

jdie: Yeah me too I'll change it for next update

rrob: yeah

insom: maybe you didn't set your game to render 3D water effect (look in the game options)? maybe you're using a 4k screen and it caused things to stretch or not fit right? dunno
TheSerpent 18 Jan, 2017 @ 8:06pm
is it possible u could make this mod for voobly too?
MaestroII 16 Jan, 2017 @ 8:02am
This is the best dark water i found on the workshop
jdiefenb 8 Jan, 2017 @ 7:42pm
Ah you made the beach lighter, I liked it as the dark shade. Any way to get that back? Now it's too light.
Ruben 8 Jan, 2017 @ 1:37pm
could you try the wt5 fewer green and more cyan?
🔥 Raid Boss Rowe 🔥 7 Jan, 2017 @ 12:27pm
hmm I dont think we had the same problem. everything worked fine and all my mods had loaded, the only problem was the water textures :)
Ruben 6 Jan, 2017 @ 11:25am
I loved the new uptade its amazing man, looks great the blue-green mix and the new shallow looks with life. I still preffer the old mangrove with more water than grass but dont worry i change it manually
AtticNote  [author] 6 Jan, 2017 @ 6:11am
@insomniac it sounds like you've done all the right things hmm
AtticNote  [author] 6 Jan, 2017 @ 6:10am
@rrobles see new update hope you like

@insomniac-ren my game wasn't working last night either it didn't load any mods I'd subbed but seems to work okay today maybe it's the same for you?

@linetyreborn rename file "sky_hemisphere.png" in the folder for this mod which you can find by clicking open directrory in the in-game mod manager. you'll need to do this every time the mod is updated
76561198172490333 5 Jan, 2017 @ 11:20pm
Hey there , ty for the great mod .
how can i disable the lighting?
🔥 Raid Boss Rowe 🔥 5 Jan, 2017 @ 3:21pm
Doesn't seem to be working as it just makes my water textures all blurry. I have it at top priority over Oxam's AoE2 Graphic Replacement (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=432671027) . Do i need to remove the water textures in that mod first? I dont know what else to do.. Please help. :D
Ruben 5 Jan, 2017 @ 10:14am
the new mangrove look so good for buildings on it, but not so good when ships are crossing because now looks without water, i'd like to know what u think about that
Ruben 5 Jan, 2017 @ 10:11am
i loved the new update, but still like the old mangrove shallow so i changed it manualy in my game, I think its ok right now, I also changed the jungle rocks for the normal ones and the rain forest because I think its a very clear green and does not fit in the game, does not look real
AtticNote  [author] 5 Jan, 2017 @ 9:55am
Yeah I like that idea
Michal 5 Jan, 2017 @ 8:16am
Would be nice if you replace current swamp/places where can be water crossed with something more grassy, because now is just blend with darker water tone. Thanks
AtticNote  [author] 4 Jan, 2017 @ 3:27pm
I hope you like the new update then. :)
Ruben 1 Jan, 2017 @ 12:11am
amazing job... I just think about the celeste water, could be a little bit lighter, and the beach a little bit lighter too
A_Temp 29 Dec, 2016 @ 7:59pm
its looking pretty freakin sweet. but the mangroves are indeed tricky
AtticNote  [author] 29 Dec, 2016 @ 7:37pm
I think I've made the mangrove shallows not beachy enough hmm
