Francis, it may be a priority issue, or, sometimes I've had three mods involved when something doesn't work. An innocuous third mod that throws the wrench in the wheel for the other two. Think Batman 1989.

Right, I'll go into more detail.

I do have them unlocked, as I am able to recruit them if this mod and the more amber per city mod is deactivated. I also get the message that I have unlocked a unit whenever a lord hits the required level, even when both mods are active. I am unable, however, to see the recruitment button.

When I deactivate the more amber per city mode, but keeps this one active, the RoRs are still not recruitable, and vica versa.

The only possible conclusion I can draw from this is that the amber mods are messing up the RoR recruitment.

I agree that this shouldn't be possible, and find it very strange that it happens at all.

It is a bit annoying but not a really big problem, I just wanted to check if anybody else had the same problem, but as that doesn't seem to be the case, I'll leave it. Still going to use the mods, as the RoRs is a small price to pay to remove the amber hassle.

@Francis, Your issue is not related to this mod. Either another mod is breaking them or you don't have them unlocked from Total War Access

A note on this, When I use this mod I don't get access to the new Regiments of Renown for Welfs. Any idea why that is?

Do as you like. If you look under the hood, you'll see that the changes made are super simple. Not much to credit here.

@Ana. If I were to change the file name I believe that Steam would see it as a new mod. That means a new mod page and everything. If anyone needs the changes in a new file name, it is easy enough for them to do themselves.

This mod should work fine with this and any future patch as far as I can expect. I updated the file so that it registers as up to date, but there were no changes needed.

I dont understand why you dont just rename your mod to draw priority so Radious and other mods that include entire tables of repeated and unchanged data dont over ride your edits? Wouldnt adding an @ or a ! symbol to your .pack file name do the trick?

@Matthias, I have no way of making my mod compatible with a mod that overwrites my changes. The issue is with load order. Apparently there are some work-arounds that you can find online to change load order. Best option is to play with mods without dirty edits.

@Matthias, All my mod does is turn off the legendary lord traits for the wood elf faction leaders that adds amber cost to units. If his mod overwrites my changes then he is turning the trait back on. If you need specifics, I suggest you open the mod up in the Pack File Manager.

@Brosheezi Is it possible to tie this in to the Oak of Ages? Such as: Tier 3 removes amber cost for certain units. Tier 4 removes amber cost for remaining.

Nvm, it turns out that the no amber deficit penalties mod turns the amber cost back on for units.

Does this work for Orion's faction too? As hawk riders still cost amber when I started a new campaign as him. All of Durthu's units dont cost any amber though :)

check for mod overwrites. There sould be no issue with adding or removing from saved games.

Is this updated for the beta patch as well? Thanks alot Brosheezi! You got the right idea, playing Wood Elves without all units feels like half a faction. Nobody wants to spend victory condition points on a single shit unit :P

Just look for the effect keys that have amber in the name. All you can do here is turn them off and on again. Just open my mods up in the packfilemanager and see what I did.

Great mod, i think the amber cost wouldnt be so bad if you werent already so limited on options when it comes to units or anything, at least this mod makes it so you have more options for your army, i think a better idea would be an amber cost to unit the useage of the units and the units themselves dont have amber costs.

Glory mods are fully compatible with this mod.

Radious is the worst mod ever, the least compatible and it should have stayed dead.
