Yup, it is very strange, I have two mods that affect amber, this one and the one that removes amber requirements on the units. Whenever I have one of these (or both) activated I can't recruit welf RoRs. If I deactivate them, the RoR recruitment button appears.

I have no idea why this happens, just wanted to see if anybody else have this problem.

@Francis, this edits the building effect junction table which has nothing to do with RoR recruitment, and it has a prefix so it only changes the values to do with amber and leaves the rest of the table to be loaded from the vanilla file. If you are getting that error I have no idea why, as it quite frankly can't cause it?

A note on this, When I use this mod I don't get access to the new Regiments of Renown for Welfs. Any idea why that is?

I also think it would be great if there was a toned down version, where minor settlements give 2 major settlements give 3 and special settlements give 5

Any chance of getting a toned back version of this? I like the idea but I feel like this just gives too much amber and throws the balance of the faction way off. If possible I'd love to see this but with just one extra amber added to major settlements

@Shadowhite, so when you take a settlement you still get the lower amber? Not looking at descriptions, but actually what you get when you take the settlement doesn't increase?

@arukifire, I could do an addon mod for that mod (if that makes sense lol) however I could not add it into this mod directly as it would cause crashes for everyone who did not have the tier 2 mod as well.

@Shadowhite, I have no idea why it did not work for them, do you use any other mods?

great mod. It would be nice if it worked with this one when the outposts go past tier one.

When your outpost goes to tier 2 in the capital building it reduces the amber back down from 5 to 2

I disabled all other mods but this one and still no dice. I also tried the reduced version and get the same results. CA must hav snuck in a quick patch without me noticing.

Is it my imagination or does this mod not work correctly anymore? I suppose it needs to be updated. I will disable other mods to see if that is what is causing it.

actually the bug of the amber by military alliance is a bug in the code of the game since i already had it when i didnt have any mods

Noticed a bug potentially with this mod, it's the only one I have that affects amber so I presume it's at fault, but whenever making a military alliance with another faction, it won't add the amber that should have been gained. It only adds amber when you actually take settlements. I'm sure it's a simple fix but thought I would bring it to your attention, other than that great mod definitely makes the WE a lot more enjoyable not having to manage amber and can spend more time actually playing with the units.

I like the idea of this mod; it seems very odd that Wood Elves should be the most expansion-focused race in the campaign since they don't typically leave their forests (per the lore, at least). This mod would definitely lower the amount of ridiculous expansion necessary to finish a campaign as Wood Elves.

Hmm don't really want to use this mod but the whole amber mechanic is broken IMO as it should be spent and not used every damn turn to build AND upkeep stuff. Giving it a go.

i play on very hard settings mostly is there anyway you could stop the automatic drop of amber penalty, about 100 yurns in when the other elves join your confed everything goes bad, no money with no armys, -100 happiness rebels every turn it makes the campaign unplayable would be good if you could do that

Perhaps make raiding armies in the forst cause reduced amber, forcing you to react promptly?

If possible, make it so that Beastmen armies even in adjacent regions cause reduced amber? Reflecting how the Beastmen would always harass the forest when near. Maybe even make acquiring the last 5-10 amber in the game dependent on hunting down and destroying Beastmen armies.

I'm making wild wishes here. But just thought this might be the right thread to make them in ^^

One might possible need to boost various parts of Athel Loren economy/resource buildings and bonuses to dmg provided via, say, forge and bowyer, to compensate for the lack of outpost bonuses such a playthrough would lead to.

Hi there - love your mod :) Could you possible make an Über Amber (or Lore-Amber?) version of this mod? The opposite of the reduced version.

Basically a version in which, when used in conjunction with the 'no amber for units'-mod, you only need to hold all of Athel Loren and have completed all quest battles, in order to be able to upgrade all buildings, techonology and the tree to maximum levels.

So that us lore-nuts players can play a lore-centric campaign, where we don't have to expand. If possible, make it so that holding all of Athel Loren and having completed all quest battles, will give you a total of zero amber, once all buildings and the tree are at max level, and all research is done.

A golden wish would be to also make it so _only_ Athel Loren regions give amber. So that you cannot substitute a lost region of Athel Loren with outside conquest, and is motivated to defend the forest with everything you have.

The Amber requirement is quite possibly the lamest in all of the factions. Let gold dictate what units you can or cannot afford. Glad you made this but TW should be embarrased at all the negative feedback this DLC is getting. Ignore the majority of the sheeple reviewers. Read the negative comments and you can actually envision a real person writing it.

I don't get amber for conquering at all.
I conquered the whole of Bretonnia and still was at 0 amber
total produced amber: 12 (5 from sth. and 7 from settlements, how the fuck, I own 15 settlements and some huge towns!?) total amber used: 12 (5 from tech 7 from settlements) WTF?
This error was the same before this mod
