That's because the map is actually located within the gamemode's content folder
IE:
garrysmod/addons/finalfrontier/gamemodes/finalfrontier/content/maps/finalfrontier_a12.bsp
Instead of:
garrysmod/addons/finalfrontier/maps/finalfrontier_a12.bsp

You could extract it from the addon using gmad.exe, then place the map in garrysmod/maps :3

Hello, I'm trying to have this gamemode run on my server which has multiple gamemodes and a mapvote mod that allows them to switch between each other. However I'm having this issue where this gamemode and only this gamemode hides its maps when the "Final Frontier" gamemode is not active. (This also happens in normal gmod, where I can't select the finaflfrontier_a12 map and launch it in sandbox mode for example) Is there any way around this? And what causes it? Thanks.

Yeah, I haven't forgotten about it. I'm deployed overseas and haven't had much time or motivation to work on it as a result.

how do i fix

Pro tip: strip a module of its colors using the engineers tool until its red. use it as a dedicated template module in the engineering room.
use your tool again on another module and create one of all 1 solid color so you have 2 templates for making perfect modules.

its a solid game with the objective being to eventually fuck over the enemy crew. its stunted by lag issues tho. it only occurs and gets worse over a long period of time and i have no idea what causes it.

Their shield takes some time to re-generate after being dropped. And if you manage to get onto their ship, you can destroy modules in the shield room or reactor room.

UUh How can I lower the enemy ships defence

for some reason all the monitors on the map are blank and only hold darkness. i can still click them and such and the square with lines shows up but other than that they are blank

Have you considered a lobby?
A sort of pre-game area for people to pick ships and teams instead of just jumping right in?

There is currently no AI. You can play SP to practice, but there isn't a ship to fight. I am planning on implementing AI later

If you joined a server, try typing /votereset in chat. If that doesn't work, the server doesn't have a version that includes it. If you're hosting, type "ff_reset" in console

Are you sure its installed? try restarting your game after you subscribe maybe?

In the Piloting screen, press the "Advanced options", then press "cloak"

@Slapjack The cloak was never broken, just confusing. I made it a bit easier to use.
