You'll get more details about the whole strategy involved by having a read in the other GOTM version (for LW2). Gameplay principles are nearly the same except for the "calendar" cycles.

Game of the Month (for LW2).. has just been released! :)

Simply because the Brutal Gameplay Scale given by LW2.. the built-in timing (Monthly schedules) aren't achievable at this point.
We'll possibly create a dedicated version -- but i will have to first extensively test various conditions to push minimally rational estimates into it.

Dunno yet when though. :)

why does Deacon's new list say Game of the Week is incompatible, but the Mod Achievement System itself works fine? I've installed all 4 of the MAS things, and all the UI pops up / I got achievements in game

I am continualy amazed at the skill of the modding community, it almost makes me want to try XCOM 2 modding again, almost.

Cheating??
Well, look no further than the snapshots right & left of the "Monthly Report" after my Promo--Video above. ;)
Having done that game on Legendary in late March & still win?
No offense to our dear co-developper RoboJumper.. but i'm pretty sure there was some wicked console tricks involved! :D
Which is quite hilarious nonetheless. But, there's ONE challenge *i* just couldn't tackle -- being skilled enough to create the magic code for this whole stuff.

True. Sad, but true. Definitely ain't going to be me! :steamfacepalm:

@Ser Lancelot
Is that really an issue though? If people want to cheat, they're going to anyways.

I just realized something that someone might simply circumvent this by going to the .ini and setting a very early start date. Hell, they could even start a year earlier. Perhaps it can be fixed by establishing a hard number of days required instead of a target date. Just a thought.

@077..
There are various types of bonuses..
1) If No Alien Facilities are active once you finish == 10 Bonus points.
2) If the Avenger Defense mission luckily happened before the expiration date == 10 BP.
3) If you win "faster" (in 7 days instead of 10, etc) == 10 BP.
4) If you started the Race earlier than to match the maximal calendar-times/dates.. each days are worth 1 BP up to a maximum of 20 in total. For example... on Rookie & Veteran -- the close-out day is August 1st and you can't start later than July 21st to meet that deadline. But if it all began on July 1st (and you still win) -- you are earning +20 BP.

Thus why the description header shows scoring calculations as 50+30+20. :)

Gotcha, still that's...August 20th :steamhappy:

Be nice to have something that shows the efforts I've put in completely obliterating the Exquisite Timing achievement over and over and over :steammocking:
Zyxpsilon  [author] 22 Dec, 2016 @ 5:21pm
@SerLancelot.. It's not really September 15th. In that case, players only have between 10 to 15 days (at Commander level) *before* the month of September begins (1st) at most.
;)
Rost Kurt 22 Dec, 2016 @ 5:18pm
it does not give not what real bonuses?
robojumper  [author] 22 Dec, 2016 @ 5:01pm
Points don't do anything, they're there just because.
Also it's nice to have an indication on how much an achievement is worth.
Ser Lancelot 22 Dec, 2016 @ 4:59pm
Dude.

I'm so doing this. Before September 15th? Really? I've beaten this by June 8th.

But like o77 below, what does these points do for me? They're just like the Steam Achievements, correct?
Rost Kurt 22 Dec, 2016 @ 3:57pm
what do achivements pionts?
